Chapter 1: The Exile

Chapter Text

Chapter 1

"I, by the name of Odin, the Allfather, now cast you, Loki Laufeyson, God of Mischief, out of Asgard, and onto Midgard." Odin said, standing up from the throne, Gungnir hitting the floor with a loud clang..

"No, father, please" Loki yelped, trying to escape the guards' strong hold on his arms. But no- He could not-

"Now. I'll take away your power, your Silvertongue... and also your title 'Prince of Asgard'. You'll become a Midgardian, a mortal, and you'll die of old age or sickness. If you behave like a prince before your soul descends to Helheim, we'll consider bringing you back and make you a god again." Odin said seriously, his only eye gleaming with anger.

As the heavy green cape disappeared from Loki's back into thin air. Loki shouted.

"Yes, Loki, your Asgardian armor and clothes will also be stripped. The Allfather said as the magic removed Loki's attire…

"No-" Loki pleaded, but of course, no one would listen to him. He really liked those casual and fine Asgardian leather....

"Heimdall, open the Bifrost and bring Loki to Midgard!" He ordered.

Loki was speechless. He could only glare daggers at Odin. And with a shout, he was sent to Earth.

Tony Stark had never been that busy. He groaned, burying his head into his crossed arms, looking forward to his bedtime.

His eyelids were already dropping but a loud crash interrupted his thoughts. Did something fall?

Suddenly there was a groan from the toilet. Tony jerked from his seat and rushed towards the origin of the sound.

"Who the hell is invading my lab at such a late hour?!" Tony yelled when he walked into the bathroom. "Please, don't come near me, please…" Whoever inside the room pleaded, his- It must be a male- voice filled with fear and it was trembling. Tony tapped his watch and a gauntlet appeared.

He stepped cautiously, slowly approaching his intruder.

"No!" The person shouted, hiding himself with his hands, he looked up when he heard the clacking noise with the gauntlet disappearing..

Tony looked down. The man was so gorgeous. He had sharp cheekbones and long loose black hair. The green eyes of his shone like emeralds. He was wearing a green sweater and dark green leather trousers. He…looked so beautiful.

Tony couldn't resist reaching out a hand and touching his alabaster white skin.

"Don't you dare touch me, lowly mortal! I'm a god!" The man yelled loudly. He slapped Tony's hand away. What? A god?

"Sh... You look tired." Tony hushed him, "Let's get you to bed, take a rest, okay?"

The man looked scared. He hesitated at first, tearing his gaze away from Tony's eyes.

"No, don't be afraid, I'm not going to hurt you." Tony's voice became soft. The person lowered his head and stood up from the bathtub.

He was so tall. Tony had to lift his head up to see him. But he was too beautiful, too perfect. Tony adored him so much!

"Um…" The person's embarrassed hum snapped Tony back into reality. The mortal coughed and gestured to the other to follow him.

"So uh, what's your name, gorgeous guy?" Tony asked flirtatiously. The man blushed at the sentence...

"L-Loki." The person, Loki answered. He shivered when Tony held his wrist.

"Loki, God of Mischief and Fire?" And that made Loki remember. He was exiled... He was no longer a god... But a weak mortal...

"I was exiled." Loki said and Tony gasped.

" What do you mean?" Tony asked, his warm eyes filled with curiosity. and worry.

"I was once an Asgardian god, but I was exiled by the Allfather because of my crimes…" Loki answered.

"Oh, I see." Tony frowned, a little bit caring for the now human god.

"I was scared that people wouldn't accept me on Earth." Loki explained, "But you do, I think."

"There is no need to worry about that." Tony assured, "Everyone will treat you well." Loki nodded.

As they went to the lift and arrived at a not occupied floor, Loki's eyes widened in surprise. The furniture was all very new and clean.

"And by the way, I'm Tony Stark.. call me. Tony." Tony introduced himself.

"Thank you. Tony,” Loki turned and hugged the smaller man...

"For what?" Tony asked, smiling, he knew what he was implying…

"For letting me stay, my friend." Loki answered, his smile free of mischief and vice, for the first time. "Tony, go to sleep. Your eyes are already darkening from sleepiness."

"Alright, um bed's there. Goodnight, Loki." Tony pointed towards the edge of the floor. The ex-god replied with a nod and a 'Goodnight'.

---------------------------------------------------------

When Tony went to the penthouse to brush his teeth and change his clothes, he noticed something. And it was new. He hadn't seen it before.

"What…" He muttered, not believing his eyes and the mirror. But mirrors never lie.
