Summary
It's been four years since an outbreak in Raccoon City led to the fall of civilization. Chris Redfield meets Jill Valentine, a woman travelling with a young man called Ethan she is oddly protective of. There is something special about Ethan-something that might lead to the end of the nightmare humanity has been living through.
But Chris's life kind of sucks, so obviously nothing goes smoothly.

Ethan scowls at him, “I’m not cargo.”
Jill places herself in front of Ethan, protectiveness radiating from her, “Let’s get going.”
So, the answer is yes. Ethan is the cargo. The very important cargo the Commander couldn’t explain to Chris.
The hell is so special about this kid? Other then being very attractive, of course.
Chris pushes that thought away.
