“Tae Kyung, what are you trying to do?” Da On asked the moment the two of them stepped into his apartment. It was one of the rare days where Da On wasn’t needed in school to help out with other students or teachers. And on these rare days, he’d rather much be spending time with his boyfriend and not arguing with him.
“You said I needed to make more friends,” Tae Kyung pointed out petulantly, following Da On into his room.
“But the student council?” Da On frowned slightly. As rare as it was for Da On to be free on a school day, it was even rarer to not have Da On smiling and that made Tae Kyung pout even more. He would never want to be the reason why his boyfriend gets upset.
Tae Kyung shook his head which caused his hair to poof up. Da On felt himself melt a little when a few strands of hair remained standing.
Why does his boyfriend have to be so cute? Da On thought to himself as he couldn’t resist fixing Tae Kyung’s hair. “Alright alright, tell me what happened exactly then,” Da On said to pacify his obviously agitated boyfriend.
“Mr. Seo decided to make it his personal mission for me to get friends and for some reason, he thought that the student council would be a perfect place to make friends,” Tae Kyung explained as he hugged himself, recalling the flash of shock and surprise on his boyfriend’s face when Mr Seo introduced him to the others. He genuinely had forgotten Da On was in the student council, much less that he was the president.
“Don’t worry, it doesn’t seem like I’ll be joining it anyway. Someone doesn’t like me there,” Tae Kyung said dejectedly, shoulder hunched slightly.
Da On felt his heart ached at the sight in front of him. After dating Tae Kyung for almost a year, Da On knows well enough how much Tae Kyung didn’t like being rejected which explains the “having no friends” part about him. Da On walked towards Tae Kyung and wrapped his arms around the smaller boy, encouraging the latter to lay his head on his shoulder.
“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to come off as me not wanting you there,” Da On said apologetically, “I was just caught off guard. It’ll be great for you to join the school council. You’re honest and upfront. Not to mention hardworking and diligent. You’ll be a great fit.”
“Not to mention, it’ll be nice to be able to spend more time together especially since I’ll be busy with president stuff,” Da On added thoughtfully. He thought he’d have to adjust not seeing his boyfriend as much as he wanted during school term but Tae Kyung’s joining the school council might rectify that. Maybe it'll eventually make the younger boy more comfortable with their relationship.
“Huh?” Tae Kyung pulled away to look at his boyfriend, “I wasn’t talking about you. I was referring to Noh Shin Woo. He hates me.”
Da On blinked in surprise. Of course his boyfriend is referring to Shin Woo. Especially after the mini outburst Tae Kyung’s had with Shin Woo, why would he think otherwise?
“No he doesn’t,” Da On reassured Tae Kyung as he tightened his grip around the boy’s waist, “how could anyone hate you? You’re the most adorable human being I’ve ever met.”
“Da Onnnn,” Tae Kyung whined slightly when his boyfriend wasn’t taking him seriously.
Kissing his pout away, Da On quickly went back to pacifying mode, “alright alright, don’t worry. I’ll try and talk to him okay?”
Tae Kyung allowed his pout to linger for a few second longer before letting out a sigh and giving the latter a small nod.
“Now that we’re done discussing about school council stuff…” Da On trailed off, a mischievous glint in his eyes appeared as he gently pushed Tae Kyung to the direction of his empty bed.
“Shall we discuss about something else?” Da On gently pushed Tae Kyung down into the mattress and crawls over him.
“Like what?” Tae Kyung teases the older boy, reaching his hands out to wrap around the latter’s neck.
Da On leaned closer, gently placing his lips against Tae Kyung’s neck, who was more than happy to give the boy access. Da On slowly kissed his way towards Tae Kyung’s ear, nibbling gently on his earlobe before whispering huskily, “like if you locked the door behind?”
Not waiting for an answer, Da On continued placing a trail of kisses down Tae Kyung’s jaw, enjoying the soft whimpers escaping from the latter.
“So did you?” Da On murmured against the soft skin. He allowed himself to smile for a second before finally pulling Tae Kyung in for a kiss.
“Always.”
