“Wow, she’s beautiful”
Childe side eyes the guy who just made that comment.
The Traveler was currently stood atop a dead Stonehide lawachurl in the centre of Chihu Rock, it was too much for the inner city millelith to handle and Lumine just happened to be in town.
Of course it created a crowd, a crowd that included the 11th harbinger.
The guy was right, she was beautiful.
It still didn’t quell the irritation the harbinger felt within that moment.
Looking back to lumine who was now talking to the millelith, dust and dirt in her hair and dress, smudged into her skin. It made Childe’s chest tight at the thought of others seeing his traveller in all her fighting glory.
He should be the only one to see that heat in her eyes mid battle.
“You think so?” He casually asks the gawking man, eyes on the blonde warrior.
“Yes, I wonder if she is spoken for, she looks like she would make a good wife”
This ignited a deep rage within Tartaglia, though, years of wearing an emotionless mask made it easy to hide.
The great Traveler of Liyue and Mondstat married to a simple man. It didn’t sit right with the ginger haired harbinger.
Lumine deserved more than a simple mundane life, he couldn’t see her as a little house wife cooking and taking care of her children while her husband was away. No, as nice as that idea is, it would be a waste.
Lumine belonged in the wilds of Teyvat, knocking down any opponents that may cross her path. That image was sweetened with her being accompanied by a mini copy of herself, full of excitement to be out with their mother swinging a small sword.
Did he really just imagine Lumine clearing hillichurl camps, child in toe, why did that image give him stomach flutters… Fatui Harbingers don’t get stomach flutters.
The crowds were now thinning out, the battle at a conclusion, Liyue never sleeps.
Lumine finally makes eye contact with the harbinger, sticking her tongue out at him before smiling and walking away.
“The Traveler is spoken for” Childe speaks cooly looking to the man again with a tight smile.
The liyue citizen finally turns to the ginger haired warrior, fear and shock fills his expression as his brain registers exactly who he was just talking to.
“O-oh is she, aha, w-what a shame” the man backs up slowly before bowing and speed walking away from the threatening Snezhnayan solider.
With that out of the way he sets his sights on the direction Lumine had walked off in.

“Hey Girly~” Childe appears from behind Lumine as she walks up towards the Stone Gate. “That was quite the show you put on, I was thoroughly entertained.”
“Not entertained enough to leave me alone hm? Mr Harbinger” Lumine huffs turning to face the man in question hands on her hips.
“Now don’t be like that! You defiantly caught the hearts of the people with that display of strength” Childe smiles walking closer to the traveler so that they are now face to face.
“Hm? Only the people? You sure I didn’t steal yours as well?” She teased bending closer to him.
“ Ah, I guess you caught me pretty girl, the vision you become during battle takes my breath away every time. It makes me even more excited for our weekly fights” he teases back basking in the slight blush that blooms across the blonde outlanders face. Cute.
Lumine takes a breath “don’t you have anything better to do other than bother me Tartaglia?” She stands straight looking up at the Snezhnayan warrior.
“Nothing in particular, thought Id company you for today, after that exciting show I’ve been itching to kill something.” Childe grins.
“I guess I could do with the extra pair of hands, I have been informed of some camps in the area that need clearing”
Child smirks “the person with the highest kill count wins”
“Ha! You’re on! Stinky Harbinger!” The blonde Traveller giggles as she takes off in a sprint.
The harbinger laughs chasing after her “Don’t cry when I beat you Princess!”
