Summary:

"Why do you always do this? Everytime she pushes you aside, you run back to me! This time it's suppose to be different! I'm so sick of it! I'm sick of being a toy for your entertainment! I'm sick of letting you in just for you to leave when she's ready for you again! Why can't you just leave me be, Draken?!"

Chapter Text

The sound of my heart breaking inside my chest pounded loud and clear in my ears. The scene in front of me, a punch strong enough to bring me to my knees.

"You liar," I yelled out as I watched Draken pull her into a kiss.

"You're nothing but a traitor," I said as the tears spilled from my eyes as they both gave me empty stares.

"Was playing with my heart fun? Was it all a game to you? The restless nights I spent caring to your wounds? The multiple amount of times I came to pick you up from the police station? Was I just a joke to you," I yelled as my vision blurred from my tears.

"Y/N it's not like that," Draken said as he started to walk towards me.

I took a step back, my body threatening to break down if I stayed any longer.

"I hope she's worth it," I said as I stared into those eyes that used to be the source of my comfort.

I looked behind him, the girl who I only heard about through stories, her looks undeniably resembling her brother.

"Treat him good for me. Please Emma," I barely was able to mutter out before I turned away, my legs carrying me away from the scene of where my heart laid broken into a thousand pieces.

I ran and ran, my tears clouding my vision wondering where I went wrong. I gave him all of me. All of my love, my care, my time. I put every ounce of myself into making him feel as if he was my world. He was my world but none of that mattered anymore. He threw everything I gave to him aside once it came to her.

I finally came to a stop in an abandoned playground, my body giving out on the bottom of a slide. I curled my body in on itself as I laid there, crying and cursing at myself. The signs were always there but I ignored them, turned a blind eye to give my heart that little bit of hope to go on.

"What was I thinking? Of course he wouldn't choose me. Nobody ever does," I reprimanded myself as I tightened my hood around my head, not caring if it became soaked.

My head pounding and my eyes burning, my mind slowly began to shut down, fading into a dreamless sleep. I didn't try to fight nor did I have the energy. I just fell into the harmonic rhythm of my body's escape. The quick blissful escape that sleep would provide me.

----------------------------------------------------

I awoke to the feeling of tugging at my back, constant and nagging. I groaned, shrugging the hand off as I tried to escape back into the land of sleep. The tugging just continued, this time rougher, persistent to get my attention. I roughly rolled over for my eyes to meet with the light lavender of a small set of doe eyes.

"Are you okay," the young girl in front of me asked with concern as she tightened the grip on her stuffed animal.

She was small and frail. No older than eight as she stood in front of me in a bright red dress.

I gave her a tiny smile as I sat up, nodding my head. "I'm fine, don't worry about me," I responded as she gave me a toothy smile.

I looked around, my eyes searching for her parents.

"Hey little one. Where's your mommy or daddy," I asked as I leaned closer to her.

She shrugged her shoulders as she fiddled with her toy, which I now came to notice was a rabbit.

"My mommy's at work. I don't know where my brother is," the girl responded as she rocked back and forth on her feet.

"Okay, well how about we go find your brother. Can you tell me your name," I said softly as to not scare her.

"I'm Luna," she says excitedly flashing me once again her toothy grin.

"Well Luna, I'm Y/N. Now let's go find your brother," I said, flashing a tiny smile as I stood up and offered my hand to her.

Luna slipped her little hand into my grasp as she looked ahead with determination across her face. I giggled before walking out of the park and turning down the street, heading towards the convenience store that laid ahead.

"Luna," I said as I looked down at the blonde haired girl beside me. "What's your brothers name?"

Luna looks up at me with her wide lavender eyes as she says with as much excitement as a newborn puppy, "Mitsi!"

"Mitsi? Huh, that's new," I said to myself as I lifted my head up, the front of the store coming into my view.

"We're going to stop in here and see if your brother has stopped here," I said as I opened the door, guiding her inside.

The bright fluorescent lights blinded me from the dim and dark exterior that was outside. As my eyes adjusted to the light, Luna was already out of my grasp and running around the store, her eyes wide and dilated as she stared at the rows of snacks. I quickly snapped from my daze as I rushed to catch up to her.

"Y/N! Y/N can I have these," Luna asked repeatedly as she held a tiny orange pack of gummy worms up in my face.

"Woah, woah slow down there," I said as I took the package out of her hand. "How about we find something a little bit calmer for you to eat?"

Luna paused, her face contorted in thought before turning around and grabbing a different package that sat on the shelf.

"How about this," Luna questioned as she held a package of mini pretzels up.

"This is better. Now come on," I said taking the package from her hand and walking towards the cashier.

He was a blonde haired boy, his hair hanging down a little past his shoulders. His name tag read "Takuya."

"Hi, will that be all for you," he said as he scanned the bag of pretzels.

"Yes that's all," I responded as I pulled a five dollar bill out of my pocket. "Has there been a boy who's come by looking for his sister," I asked as I passed the money across the counter.

Takuya took the money, passing me the pretzels as he began counting out my change.

"Actually there has been. He came by maybe about 15 minutes ago," Takuya informed me as he passed me my change.

I groaned to myself before accepting the change and passing Luna the pretzels.

"Thank you. Have a good night," I said before grabbing Luna's hand and walking out the door.

I sat Luna in one of the white plastic chairs that sat outside and stood in front of her.

"Just sit here and eat these while I think okay," I hurriedly said to her as she gave me a tiny smile.

She cracked open her bag and began munching onto the pretzels to the best of her abilities without front teeth. I began to pace back and forth wondering where they could have gone in this little bit of time.

"They obviously didn't go towards the park we would've ran into them," I thought to myself. "The next closest store is about ten blocks down but they closed hours ago."

I sighed, planting my face in my hands as I began to wonder if taking her to the police would be a better option. As if by magic, the voice of a male calling her name rang out.

"Luna? Luna where are you," the voice yelled out in desperation.

Luna quickly jumped out her seat, half open bag and bunny in her hands, her body moving rapidly.

"Luna wait a minute," I yelled behind her as I rushed to keep up.

"Misti! Misti over here," Luna yelled back to the voice as she rounded the corner.

"Luna wait," I cried out as I rounded the corner behind her to see her in the hands of a male with short lavender hair.

"Luna where have you been?! I've told you about running off," the male said into her hair, his grip on her tightening.

"I'm fine! I was with Y/N! She even bought me pretzels," Luna said as she held the bag up excitedly.

The male finally looked up, acknowledging my presence and I could see the resemblances between the two siblings. His eyes the same light lavender hue with the same elfish looking nose.

"Thank you. I was so worried," the male said as he stood up, Luna's hand tightly in his grasp as he walked towards me.

"Is there anyway I could ever repay you," he asked, genuine concern across his face.

I held my hands up, roughly shaking my head. "No no! There's no need to repay me. I'm just happy to know that she got home safely."

"Please let me treat you to lunch sometime," the male persisted as he held his hand out. "Let me see your phone please."

I reluctantly gave in and passed my phone towards him, watching as he hurriedly typed in his number before calling his own phone.

"Alright, all saved," he said as passed my phone back to me.

The contact name read "Mitsuya."

"Mitsuya huh. Now I see where Misti came from," I said, watching as his cheeks turned a light pink.

"I see you've been told my nickname," Mitsuya said as he placed his free hand on his neck.

"It's adorable understandably coming from an adorable girl," I said as I softly rubbed Luna's hair.

She gave me a tiny smile and laugh. The last happy moment before my blood ran cold. The rumble of two motorcycles pulling up beside us, drawing me out of the pure happy fantasy.

"Y/N? What are you doing over here," the familiar voice of Ran ringing in my ears.

I swiftly turned around, my back facing Mitsuya and Luna. "I just went out for a walk and got lost then I met a little girl who was also lost," I quickly rambled off before being cut off.

"Whatever just come on," Rindou said as he passed me the black helmet that laid beside him.

I quickly nodded my head, my body fear stricken before grabbing the helmet and pulling it over my head. I managed to fit in a swift wave goodbye to Mitsuya and Luna before climbing onto the back of Rindou's motorcycle. Ran giving Mitsuya a once over stare before pulling his helmet off and riding away, me and Rindou right behind.
