Work Text:

Tenya let the cool air brush pass his messy hair while listening to Katsuki snore lightly before finally making a move. He gingerly rummaged through his pocket, making sure to not jostle Katsuki awake and pulled out his phone. After ensuring it was on mute, he tapped a bit on his screen until he arrived at the contacts.

'Who should I tell..? Midoriya-kun... No, Katsuki wouldn't be happy. Kirishima? He's most probably in deep sleep... He can sleep through a hurricane...' He chuckled to himself at that thought and Katsuki whined softly, causing him to freeze momentarily before settling down. The Pomeranian-like classmate continued his sleep while Tenya returned his eyes towards the phone. 'Maybe Sero? But I don't think Katsuki would want his friends to know his problems... Even I only found out after finding him...'

That train of thought slowly trailed off track and his heart ached at the thought of Katsuki committing suicide. He was up later than usual thinking of his license. He had texted Tensei his accomplishment and was proud of himself and his classmates. But his mind reverted back to the memory and he recalled the solemn look from Katsuki. He then heard footsteps climb the stairway and frowned, knowing above him was only the roof. He recalled how Aizawa had forbid that area and decided to preach upon the rule breaker. He was about to calmly make his way up when he imagined the reason of anyone on the rooftop and ran instead.

When he barged open the fuzzy door (he was too scared to wear them), he could only see a ash-blonde figure at the edge and immediately called out to the first name he could think that would be willing to do so. He was still shocked it was Katsuki first to break from the pressure but after listening to his tragedies, he knew he went through too much.

Taking a deep breath, Tenya blinked back to reality and pressed the contact number of his homeroom teacher, Aizawa-sensei. He waited for a moment before the other line was picked up. He was startled to hear the rough voice of his English teacher.

"Hey, listener... Shou's asleep right now," whispered his teacher. "What's the problem?"

"It..." Tenya began slowly, not knowing if he could trust another teacher with Katsuki's personal problems. "It's an emergency with his students. C-Can you get Aizawa-sensei to our rooftop?"

"Sure thing, kid!" Hizashi replied without a moment of hesitation. Tenya could hear his English teacher wake up his teacher who was.. right beside him? Tenya recalled class 1-A betting pool of the Aizawa-Mic ship Todoroki set. Katsuki had bet they were already married much to their classmates surprise. Listening to his teacher now call his homeroom teacher 'honey' made him wonder if Katsuki would win the bet now.

Aizawa-sensei snapped him back to reality by asking in a rush, "What's going on, Iida?" Tenya could hear him running and knew his teacher was coming to him now. He sighed in relief at having such a protective teacher and slowly began explaining.

"It's Bakugou-kun, sir... He..."

------

Aizawa frowned after hearing his Class Monitors explanation of the turn of events. Apparently, his hell child was going through so much stress he had tried to commit suicide. The very word made his heart clench uneasily and he sighed in frustration. He knew Katsuki had been through a lot but the kid barely shown any signs of PTSD. He had even went as far as to offer his number if any of his kids wanted to talk privately of any problems. But even after that, Katsuki hadn't opened up. By keeping it all in, he had brought to a conclusion of ending his own life.

The Pro Hero soon found himself in front of his class building and vaulted himself through the side outside, not wanting to
cause a commotion and awaken any tired students or advertise Katsuki's problems. Silently landing on the roof, he found his class rep in a baggy sweater and his hell child asleep in his lap. His eyes widen insight of the display and Tenya blushed heavily.

"It's not what you think," he reasoned weakly.

Aizawa gave a wary grin and questioned, "Really?" When Tenya kept quiet, he chuckled lightly before crouching beside his students and frowned at the tear stains on Katsuki's cheeks. He noted how he was buried in Tenya's arms and sighed. "I'm assuming he initiated the hug?"

"He wouldn't move afterwards either," Tenya added wile gentle running his fingers through Katsukis' hair. They both watched as he titled his head so he could lean into the touch and the corner of his lips curled upwards. "Touch deprived?"

"Most probably..." Aizawa sighed. It wasn't a good sign. Touch deprived meant the kid hadn't had a happy childhood and neglecter parents... or... "Did he flinch at anything?"

Tenya thought of the situation previously and shook his head. "He didn't flinch... Though he closed his eyes a lot, sensei.." He watched his teacher frown and asked softly, "What do you think is the cause besides his... experience?"

"Did he mention his parents?" Aizawa questioned and watched his student tense. "I know you didn't want to break his trust but right now, to save him, I need to stop the source..."

"You believe his parents could be abusove? I..." Tenya trailed off, recalling Katsukis very words. He had claimed nobody would believe his parents to be abusive since they were in high positions of the fashion society. Tenya was enraged at the thought nobody helping his classmate. "He didn't think anyone would..."

"Of course he would," Aizawa sighed while thinking of his own house life and shuddered. "I would believe any one of my kids, Tenya..."

After they stared at the dark night for awhile, Aizawa finally stood up and helped Tenya get up without awakening Katsuki. Katsuki did crack open his eyes for a minute, staring at his classmate tiredly and muttered something about glasses. Tenya chuckled at his cute behaviour and gently soothed him back to sleep before joining Aizawa-sensei back downstairs. They eventually stopped at Katsuki's room and tucked him in bed. Aizawa led Tenya back to his own room back upstairs and sat across his student who looked slightly older.

"For now, I'll commit myself to personally investigate Bakugou's household and find any signs of abusive behaviour. If I can, I'll get custody of Katsuki..." He explained shortly, surprising his student. "If he wants to get even with them, I'll give him the option of bringing this to court... But for now, I need you to be his pillar..."

"His pillar?" Tenya frowned while his hands clenched at his knees. "I... I don't think I can, sensei..."

Aizawa eyed his class rep and sighed. He knew Tenya was horribly insecure of high positions but he needed someone to be there for Katsuki while he went through the Bakugou's. Taking a deep breath, he patted Tenya's shoulder softly. "You can, Tenya. I saw how much Katsuki trusted you... He lowered his guard for the first time around me with you there... Only you can help him... I don't believe he will open up to his friends for now at this rate but he'll need someone to ground him from doing anything... well... You get the gist..."

Tenya frowned, not knowing if he could take such burden. But then he recalled the sobbing figure in his arms and his determination sky rocketed. If it was for the boy he had fallen for, he would do anything to lighten the pressure that pushed him to such limits. Eying his teacher with flaring eyes, he gave a curt nod and Aizawa nodded.

"Good," Aizawa sighed in relief while standing up. "Well, get some sleep, Iida. You still have class tomorrow..."

And with that, the raven head left the room and sighed heavily. He slowly walked towards the stairway and made his way back to his hell childs room. He silently opened it and found the child curled up in a ball, trembling. He frowned at this and stepped into the room before beelining for the bedside. He gently pulled the blanket to reveal the tear stains and trembling lower lip of his explosive student. He gently ran his hand over Katsuki's hair and watched his stubborn student lean into his hand with a sigh. 'Well, better get things over with...'

"Katsuki, wake up please," he gently shook his shoulder and watched the kid whine before his eyes snapped open and eye his teacher in surprise. He shot up in his bed and his breathes became unsteady. Aizawa gasped at this and quickly leaned back and gave him space. "Calm down, Katsuki. It's just me... Calm down..."

"A-A-Aizawa..S-S-Sensei," gasped Katsuki, recognition filling his eyes. "I-I'm up..."

"I can see that," he gently replied while reaching up and laying his hand on Katsuki's trembling kneecap. "Take deep breathes, Katsuki... It's okay...."

Katsuki obeyed instantly, much to Aizawas' dismay, and soon settled down and adverted his gaze with a look of embarrassment. Aizawa didn't like how closed up his student was but didn't want to push his luck just yet. Instead, he took a seat by his student on his bed and leaned beside him on the wall.

"You wanna talk about it, kid?" He asked slowly. When Katsuki simply shook his head, he took his answer and asked something else. "Wanna know your latest Hero Pop Quiz results? You did pretty well..."

"What is it, Sensei? Why are you here?" Katsuki questioned, going straight to the point as per usual. His eyes narrowed at the memory of last night and growled, "Class rep told ya, didn't he... That damn four-eyes..."

"Katsuki, he didn't tell me everything at first," he reasoned, watching his students eyes widen. Whether they widened at the usage of his first name of Tenya's actions, he wasn't sure. Aizawa simple joined him continued, "Only after I promised him I would deal with the source did he tell me..."

"The fucking source is my shitty parents and the fucking world... How are you going fix that, sensei?" Katsuki snapped, annoyed of the fake kindness. He didn't want pity. He continued glaring and when his teacher kept silent, he clicked his tongue in frustration. "See... Just forget it, sensei... I don't need pity..."

"This is not pity," Aizawa spoke up finally after considering his options. "I was simply considering my choice of words for what I was about to say... But you don't seem to need a lid..."

"Hit me with the truth, sensei," he simply put it. "I'm not a baby..."

Aizawa nodded in agreement much to Katsuki's surprise and turned to face him. "For your shitty parents, I'm taking custody for you and they can't stop me since I'm considered your Guardians in the paperwork for the dorms. Then, I'm going to fucking sue them for child abuse, child neglect and any other shit I'll unravel from investigating. Following that, those so-called pro heroes who were around the Sludge Incident and did nothing will be brought in for questioning and I will sue them if they don't consider a public apology... After that, I'm thinking of letting Zashi consider adopting a third child into our family..."

"W-w-wait what?" Katsuki spluttered at such words and stared at his teacher in disbelief. He wasn't prepared for that to be thrown at him so suddenly. And for it to come from his teacher was a whole new shock. It was true that Katsuki would be willing to leave his life in Aizawa's hands, after trusting him with his life multiple times. He respected Aizawa but to have him do this was just... "I don't understand why..."

"Why?" Scoffed Aizawa before pulling Katsuki into a side hug and gently patted his head. He smiled at the fact he wasn't fighting back and didn't flinch at all. "You kids are my top priority... I would do anything to see you kids actually graduate... I'm not gonna watch anyone of you try to leave my hands... I'll send you kids through hell and back for making me go through hell itself..."

Katsuki cracked a smile and chuckled, "Sure thing, sensei..." He yawned widely and could feel his own eyelids become more heavily. Before he slipped off to sleep, he whispered softly, "Thanks, Aizawa-sensei...."

Aizawa watched his hell child fall asleep at his side and gently tucked him in before replying, "Your Welcome, kid..."

------

The following days went past easily. Tenya and Katsuki spent their time having friendly banter, much to the class's surprise. Todoroki had opened a betting pool for when they would admit dating each other and everyone was in (excluding those two of course). News came on regarding Pro Heroes giving public statements towards the unknown victim of the Sludge Incident and apologies. It was a moment of surprise to the media and many questioned why the sudden statement. They didn't elaborate but mentioned their mistakes and promised to do better. Katsuki had given his teacher a rare genuine smile before he left class that day and Aizawa felt proud of himself.

Katsuki had also begun Therapy with Hound dog-sensei for the year after Tenya's threatening to ignore him. They went together and Tenya slowly became a constant in his life. The Baku Squad were accepting of his sudden need of time away and when Kaminari found out of those sessions from his boy friend, he kept it under wraps and steered his friends away during Katsukis' sessions.

Eventually, one day, Bakugou Mitsuki and Bakugou Masaru were seen entering U.A's parent teacher meeting room and rumours flew among the students. Katsuki had spent that day with Tenya in his room, curled up while awaiting Aizawa's conclusion of his custody. He feared his mother would force him away from U.A or sue Aizawa-sensei and get him to lose his job.

When Aizawa entered the dorm of class A and met Katsukis' concern eyes, he gave a soft smile and a single nod that made everything right... And if Katsuki ended his day with a shit ton of money for when Hizashi screamed out his adoption into the Aizawa-Hizashi household and Tenya kissing him soundly on the lips... well, that was nobodies business...
