Saying they were nervous would be an understatement. And everyone in that room knew that, it wasn’t like they could hide things from both his father and Logan. Ailre was pacing like crazy since they woke up. Not only because it was their wedding day, that their fiance was carrying two babies, or that their house wasn't baby proofed and they didn’t have the money to buy another so soon or that…
“Jesus, Ailre, you’re going to make a hole on the floor.” Logan stated, staring at his best friend in disbelief.
“What if she says no?”
Log just got the most done of faces when they asked that. “Man, you literally came back to life . You’re worried she will say no?!”
The blond ran their fingers through their hair, good thing the actual ceremony was happening just at noon. Noon? No, eleven. They were going to mess up so much, they were almost forgetting the time of the wedding . They couldn’t make Dwyn think they abandoned her at the altar!
“Son, you’re going to hyperventilate like that.” Peony put a hand on their arm. “You don’t need to worry, you two showed over and over again that you love each other. It’s going to be fine. Breathe with me.”

“In… and out… just like that.” Dwyn chuckled. “Orion, everything is going to be fine. You don't need to worry. No need to make a hole in the floor.”
“What if it rains?”
“We marry in the rain.” She shrugged and stared at the cloudy skies. “Plus, the venue is mostly covered. Nothing to worry about.”
The rain was certain, but it would just start after the ceremony. And either way, the place was covered. It wouldn't be a problem if it started raining. Rain would make the sky even prettier later, and chilly.
She was a little disappointed that it wasn’t snowing yet, but making a wedding with her friends and loved ones was more important than the perfect aesthetic.
Dwyn licked her lips, picking thread and needle to add more flowers to Nissa's dress. She needed and wanted to do something with her hands, at least until the time to put on the dress.
“Dwyn...” Orion started and she squinted.
Maybe that was a bad idea.

“Oh my god. Stop blinking!” Lavender complained as the eyeliner slipped again.
For the fourth time.
“Jeez, Ailre, hold your breath.”
It was just two hours away. It was too much anxiety. They wanted to pace again, or at least be able to move, but Lav was insisting on doing their makeup. But the blond was so anxious that even Cosmos started scratching the door to come in.
“Let him in. Maybe they will calm down.” Kalli shook her head. “Ailre, give me your shirt because if you get fur on it, you're dead.”
Cosmos immediately ran to him, jumping on his lap. Lavender yelped away, raising all his makeup above his head. “Holy shit! Give a warning next time!”
Ailre pressed Cosmos head against their shoulder, the dog made comforting noises and kept still, just making pressure. “Okay. I think the makeup will work now.”
Orion walked in that exact moment. He took a look at the scene and closed the door.
“Well, at least you're shirtless.” Lav said.

Dwyn woke up with Ailre arms around her waist, their skin was warm against hers. She smiled, shifting to get in a better position and go back to sleep.
But the gleam of the wedding band caught her eyes and she smiled, seeing it finally on her finger, after years wearing it around her neck.
“Mx Amaryllis.” She giggled looking over her shoulder, and kissed their temple.
She loved the sound of that.
