Summary
Things had changed. But definitely not for the better. Or he supposes how you look at it matters. In a simple passing of months he had found the love of his life. Explored himself in a way he never thought he would. Learned the comforting, warm touch of another person. The way even the simple glance or a couple words could light his own heart ablaze. It was simply astounding looking back. But now here he was. Stuck in a horrible place. The future in a bleak lighting. But yet he finds his naïve heart holding onto the other. Hoping to smell the sweet peppermint again. To be in the other's arms, to hold so tightly onto the other so they would never be separated. To look at the other star's speckled face, to see all the perfect imperfect qualities that made up the other he couldn’t and knew he most likely knew he couldn’t get out of his head. So maybe looking only at the current situation would be enough to call this a horrible outcome. But looking at the past made this outcome slightly more bearable. At least that's what he holds on to.
The beginning of this new period in his life. But he believes in the whole picture now. Because if he didn’t, he would forget the one who means the most to him.
