   Summary

   Achilles hopes, when Persephone returns, that Hades will no longer require his "personal services." This is true, but then the other shoe drops. Hades is instead lending him to Ares, one of the gods Achilles hates the most.

   Ares, though, is more than merely a bringer of tragic strife. He is a person, and his own needs are complicated. As Achilles gets to know him, hatred may well be transmuted into something else.
