Work Text:

Eunsang had been into reading Tarot cards for about a year now. Every single day he made time out of his, not at all packed, schedule to read his own fortune. Up until last week he had been getting normal draws that didn't bring about any concern. That was until he started to pull the exact same card, every, single, day. It was as if some force pulled his hand to the card, like a sign from above, or below, or middle earth. The card itself, the wheel of fortune, was a little concerning as it was known to represent imminent change. Change that Eunsang dreaded and couldn't stop even if he tried. That's why he's been avoiding leaving his house for the past few days. His friends were starting to get Incredibly concerned, they hadn't seen a glimpse of the boy who usually agreed to every invitation they offered.

“Eunsang, you have to leave the apartment at least once.” Minhee called through the door to his younger friend. The small friend duo had decided to stage an intervention by appearing at his door unannounced on a saturday morning. The next step of their plan was to peer pressure him into coming to their dance club downtown so he could have some human interaction. Thankfully he opened the door for them although he looked as if he just woke up from a year long hibernation. His face was puffy and his movements were slow so his friends took the initiative in dragging him around the apartment, and getting him ready. Soon they were marching their way down the street dragging a pouting Eunsang in an oversized sweater. Don't get it twisted, Eunsang was in no way bratty, he was obviously worried about something and his friends had caught on rather quickly, sparing no time in jumping into parent mode. Guests were not usually allowed in the dance studio but it was the only place Minhee and Dongpyo could supervise  Eunsang while forcing him to interact with people irl. Also Eunsang is adorable so who was going to reject him?

Their theory was right, as the group ascended the steps of the building, staff just smiled their way instead of complaining. Eunsang had woken up slightly by the time they got to the third floor where the door to the practice room was. Minhee pulled the heavy metal door open and announced their presence as they walked in. The other dancers inside looked briefly at Minhee and muttered greetings as they usually did. All eyes turned to the odd one out in the group as he walked in behind Dongpyo who was dragging him by the sweater paw. They hadn't seen anyone else in the dance room in a while, especially not someone as cute as this boy. Dongpyo and Minhee led their friend to the bench beside the door where they sat him alongside their bags.

a muscular boy in the crowd asked what everyone else was thinking “Who’s this then?”. Minhee turned to the group who didn't bother meeting his eyes, they were too busy gawking at Eunsang.

“This is our friend Eunsang, I know there's a no guest policy but he's going through some stuff right now…” he implied by gesturing with his hands.

Eunsang did not want his first impression to be bad so he looked up from his hands and smiled slightly at the group. That was when he noticed every pair of eyes in the room staring him down. Eunsang wasn't overly shy, he liked hanging around with people, but he had never experienced a whole room of handsome people staring at him like a juicy burger. A blush spread from ear to ear and he lifted his sweater paws to obscure his face. ”Aww“s filled the room and the man didn't hesitate to say,

“He can stay.”

Minhee laughed at the ridiculous behavior of the young men who he was used to being confident ladies’ men. Then he noticed his eldest hyung in the club, Seungyoun, standing nearby. What could he want? Minhee thought. Eunsang looked up as he sensed a strange energy focusing on him, he did fancy himself a bit of a psychic after all.

“It'll be nice to have an audience for once.” Seungyoun, who was a stranger to Eunsang, spoke as he smiled down with the most charming gaze he had ever seen. That was it, Eunsang was going to explode with embarrassment. He had never had someone so handsome give him attention before. All he could manage in response was a small nod to the gorgeous hyung in front of him. The dancer’s soon dispersed and began their usual routine as Eunsang got comfortable amongst the nest of his friends' bags and sweaters. At first he watched his friend’s practice with sleepy eyes in peace. But at some point he noticed the sensation of someone staring at him again. He looked around with half lidded eyes but no one seemed to be facing him. Then he noticed the large mirror on the left wall that a few of the boys were using to practice, including the prince of a man who had spoken to him before. The same man who was now gazing at him through the mirror alluringly. Eunsang gasped softly at the intense look, he couldn't wrap his head around why this hyung was giving him so much attention. He smiled back briefly but his attention was stolen when one of the other boys shouted over the ambience of the room.

“Ok, time to run through it, gather round!”

Eunsang watched Dongpyo, Minhee, and the other boys walk to the center of the room where they got into position and waited for the music to play. Eunsang was kind of excited, he had never seen a performance this close before, aside from the horrible karaoke dancing Dongpyo and Minhee managed. Before he knew it, loud Edm music was blasting through the speakers around the room making him jolt slightly before he settled back into his nest.

The performance was thrilling, the amount of charisma shocked him and made him feel what he assumed a fangirl felt like at a concert. But of course songs have an average run time of three minutes so it was over for Eunsang before it started. By the amount of sweat covering everyone, Eunsang was sure it must have felt like an hour's worth of exercise for everyone that was not Eunsang. Some of the dancers collapsed to the floor, some walked off to grab their water. Minhee and Dongpyo walked past him quickly to the door by his feet.

“We’re just going to the bathroom, we’ll be back in a few minutes.” Minhee smiled at his friend and waited for confirmation before exiting the room. Eunsang didn't quite know how to act without his friends in the room, he felt kind of out of place. He twiddled his fingers together and stared at his feet which were resting on the end of the bench. Suddenly he noticed something in his peripheral vision and looked up thinking someone was approaching him. Immediately he froze, standing not 2 meters away from him was the infamous hyung mid-disrobe. The boy was in the middle of removing his shirt and Eunsang was about to look away  when he noticed a large tattoo on his back. Covering almost his entire back was a beautifully done drawing of a tarot card, the wheel of fortune, to be specific. Eunsang’s eyes shot open fully and he gasped, effectively gaining the guy’s attention. He dropped the shirt and turned to look at Eunsang who was slack jawed, Seungyoun thought the boy’s reaction to be aweful so he smirked back. Oh Hell no! Eunsang thought as he sat up in a flash. This had to be related to the sign the cards were giving him, was this guy about to kill him, what was his deal? Seungyoun noticed the boy’s sudden panic so he quickly dropped the smirk in favor of a concerned look. Eunsang stumbled to his feet, almost tripping over a bag in the process. He had to get out of here, or at least find Minhee for help. He was only a few steps from the door, he could do this, all he had to do was reach out and grab the handle. Unfortunately, at the same time Eunsang reached the door someone decided to enter... with fervor. It all went in slow motion as the thick metal door swung open and smashed into Eunsang’s face, effectively knocking him flat on his ass. The sound of the impact was sickening, making everyone in the room look over only to see Eunsang lying almost unconscious in shock on the floor. The first person to move was Seungyoun who had watched it unfold, he rushed to the cute boy’s side on the floor. He was also the eldest of the boys in the group so he felt a protective instinct come over him. Eunsang was staring at the ceiling in shock, he could feel blood rush out of his nose worse than ever before and of course his whole face stung from the impact. This is so embarrassing, Eunsang thought, everything hurt, his friends weren't there, strangers were staring at him. He couldn't stop the tears that brimmed in his eyes although he tried. He reached up to swipe some of the blood away, only to sob once he pulled it back and his hand was drenched in blood.

“Go get some tissues, and someone find Minhee or Dongpyo!” Seungyoun barked orders to people standing nearby. Some scuttled out the door to do what their hyung told them too, the others stood around and waited for more orders. Remembering the shirt in his hand that he had just changed out of, he didn't hesitate to fold it up and lightly press it under Eunsang's nose. Eunsang quickly scrambled to hold the fabric with his shaky, blood covered hands.

“It's alright Eunsang, you're safe.” Seungyoun soothed as he brushed Eunsang’s bangs with his hand. Sobs racked the younger boy’s body but he leaned into the touch nonetheless. Seungyoun was worried Eunsang would choke on his blood laying down so he scooted behind him and supported the others head on his thigh.

“Where are they?” he seethed looking around to the others. Suddenly someone entered with paper towels and some water, Seungyoun ushered them over and they dropped the materials  next to him. He ripped off a piece of the paper towel and reached over to grab Eunsang’s hand gently, the boy seemed very frail as if he was made of glass. It wasn't hard to release Eunsang’s frail grip from his shirt and replace it with the paper towel. He didn't really care about his shirt, as long as Eunsang was alright. Heck he would even offer up his pants, someone else's pants, his signed soccer jersey. Anyway, It didn't really seem like much more blood was coming so he pulled the bloody tissue away again. Eunsang was still sobbing as Seungyoun dipped a piece of the towel into some water to wipe the blood off his face and neck gently. It was no secret that Seungyoun loved looking after people, he was a big softy with a confident shell. He was good at calming people down, including Eunsang who’s cries became sniffles at Seungyoun's tender touches. Soon enough Eunsang was lulled to sleep in the older’s arms, the exhaustion and pain taking over him. Not a minute after, the door opened and Minhee stormed in followed by a frantic Dong Pyo. Minhee looked ready to throw a tantrum but halted in his tracks as his hyung motioned for him to quiet down. Minhee noticed his now sleeping friend in Seungyoun's arms both splattered with blood.

“How is he?!” Minhee whispered desperately at the sight.

“He had a massive nosebleed, just fell asleep.” Seungyoun gave brief points to the panicking boy.

“Ok, we should get him home, maybe he was right about the cards after all.” Minhee mulled pacing back and forth. Seungyoun was thoroughly confused to say the least.

“What cards?”

“Oh, Eunsang reads tarot cards, he’s been worried for days because he pulled the same card everyday for a week.” Minhee explained to the best of his ability, he didn't know a whole lot about tarot and he was obviously freaking out.

“It wouldn't happen to be the wheel of fortune, would it?” he asked as he played with Eunsang's hair.

“Yeah, I think that's what he said, anyway we should get going.” Minhee said as he grabbed his and Eunsang’s bags off the bench. What a weird coincidence, or maybe not? Seungyoun thought.

“But hyung, how are we going to get him home?” Dongpyo asked, looking from Eunsang to Minhee. Dongpyo had a point, he was a dwarf, and Minhee was a toothpick compared to the normal sized teenage boy that was Lee Eunsang.

“I'll carry him home.” Seungyoun stated firmly, startling everyone in the room. He could definitely manage it, he was a well built young man, but he hardly knew Eunsang.

“Are you sure hyung? We don't want to bother you.” Dongpyo spluttered.

“I don't mind at all, Could you just get my bag for me?” he pointed to the corner where his bag sat. Minhee scooped it up and handed it to Seungyoun who stuffed his bloody shirt inside.

“Can you guys handle the blood?” Seungyoun asked, referring to the mess they left on the floor. One of the taller boys standing nearby nodded back and told him not to worry about it.

“Come help him onto my back.” Seungyoun called out to Minhee. Minhee hurried over to support Eunsang while Seungyoun got up to crouch for him. As best as he could, Minhee lifted Eunsang to drape over Seungyoun’s back and let him take it from there. It was as if Eunsang was made for Seungyoun, his head fit perfectly in the nape of his neck, his thighs were the perfect size to hold, Seungyoun’s brain could go on and on.

“I'll get your bag for you hyung!” Dongpyo chirped.

Once they had said their quick goodbyes, they faced the dilemma of the staircase vs the tiny elevator. Obviously they decided to cram into the elevator, because carrying people down the stairs was a serious health hazard in itself. Soon they were making their way back down the street, office workers on their lunch breaks looked at them suspiciously as they walked by.

“Once again, we're really sorry hyung.” Dongpyo broke the silence. Seungyoun laughed quietly, He supposed this meant they would never attempt to bring Eunsang back to the dance studio though.

“I really don't mind, but there is something you could do for me.” he smirked. The pair looked at him quickly.

“Oh of course hyung, what do you need?”

“Eunsang’s phone number.”
