Keefe is an Empath stuck with a mother and father whose emotions are never positive. His only bright spot in life is his soulmate. However his soulmate never seems to freakin' sleep!

Chapter Text

The first time Keefe Sencen heard a Song was when he was seven. It had drifted into his head at midnight, upbeat and too loud for sleep.

" Arms to the sky screaming rah rah rah
Head to the side with a nah nah nod
Hit that switch make it hotter

Ya homegrown rebel spin ‘em round round round
Late night trouble going down down down
Hit that switch make it hotter" Keefe had startled awake to the sounds of his soulmate's song. It was catchy, fast paced, and enjoyable but he'd never heard the song before, and that confused him. The Lost Cities didn't really have the largest selection of music, certainly nothing like that, and unless you were a really good mimic most of the instrumental music wasn't heard. Yet some how she-er they were singing and making the noise of instrumental music too.

Keefe Sang back one of his favorite songs so they would go to sleep.

"Lay down your head and I'll sing you a lullaby
Back to the years of loo-li lai-lay
And I'll sing you to sleep and I'll sing you tomorrow
Bless you with love for the road that you go

May you sail fair to the far fields of fortune
With diamonds and pearls at your head and your feet
And may you need never to banish misfortune
May you find kindness in all that you meet" The Song sent both him and his soulmate to sleep long before it finished.

Sophie Foster blinked the sleep from her eyes as she rolled out of bed Ella the Elephant in one hand. Marty meowed grumpily, having been displaced with her movement, before curling back up in her pillow.

She was thankful that her soulmate had a lullaby stuck in his head the night before but also a little surprised over how fast she fell asleep. Oh, well she had school in half an hour. She would think about it later, she decided.
