"Daddy wake up" I heard and rolled over to see small hands." Hi Toby" I said sitting up and picking him up placing him on my legs." Did you sleep okay?" I asked and he nodded." Are you okay I heard you and dad talking loudly.."
I bit my lip some and smiled nodded." Yeah I'm okay let's get ready for daycare okay?" I said and he nodded as we went to his room, we went downstairs and I glanced around.
"Dad? I'm leaving bye bye!" He called out but only silence returned." He's probably asleep or had something to do you'll see him later" I said and he nodded.
-hours later-
I was cleaning when my phone rung and I answered it." Hello? Alex here" I said and my eyes widened hearing what was said on the other end." Y-your joking.." I said and listened before falling to my knees, everything felt silent for me and I just hung up tearing up and covered my mouth with my hands, 'this can't be true!' I thought and went to my car driving as quickly but safely as I could wiping my eyes that would blur from the tears.
I arrived at the hospital and forced myself to go inside and told the front desk why I was there before I sat down.
"Alex" she said and I nodded and followed her down a hallway to a door." He's in there.." She said and I swallowed some before opening the door and walked in she came in after me and closed the door.
"Luckily he isn't to badly hurt" she said and I came over and covered my mouth seeing him and teared up." Schlatt..." I mumbled before going over to him and moving some hair from his face.
-Third person POV-
After a few moments of silence Alex managed to build up some courage to say anything." Te amo mi cabra estupida..." He said softly tears rolling down his cheeks as he kissed the male gently on the lips.
After an hour or so of silently watching the male as if he'd wake up like if it was a nap, he got up wiping away the tears from his red and puffy eyes before leaving the room sparing a glance back at the male before closing the door.
Alex left to go pick up their son from daycare." Is daddy gonna be home?" He asked and Alex bit his lip some." Daddy won't be home for a little bit he's really busy" the older male replied to the young child and he pouted but nodded.
When they got home he placed the boy down and let him talk about his day at daycare." Oh and I meet this kid named tommy! He has two older brothers" Toby said and Alex nodded.
-Alex's POV-
The next few weeks seemed to be months and I couldn't bring myself to go into our room longer then to grab some clothes or grab something, so I kept the door closed and told Toby not to go in there, he asked about his father a lot I could only tell him he was busy with work.
"Daddy when will dad be home?" He asked me and I looked at him with a small smile." Toby I told you he's busy so I don't know when he'll be home now let's get ready for bed you have a big day of daycare and fun ahead of you" I said and he nodded running into the bathroom to brush his teeth. I sighed softly pushing my hair back some before coming upstairs to help Toby.
"All done!" I heard as I came in and I smiled at him and wiped his face some." You silly little sheepie" I said and he huffed crossing his arms." No dad says I'm a ram not a sheepie" he said pouting at me still and I giggled some." But your still my little sheepie" I said and he shook his head before running to his room.
I laughed some and followed he was already sitting in bed with a book in his lap." Can you call dad so he can read to me?" He asked and my chest tightened." Yeah I'll give him a call wait here" I said and walked out the room some.
I called the nurse he had and when she answered I quietly told her the situation and we had a conversation like if I was talking to Toby's father before hanging up and coming back in." Sorry bud.. He's to busy maybe another night" I said and he pouted some but looked at me and smiled.
"It's okay you can read to me instead" he said holding the book out to me. I carefully took it and read the cover, I knew this was the book he always read to Toby so I felt a little glad Toby was letting me read it to him but I wasn't happy on why I was." Alright then I'll start the story but you gotta lay down"
He nodded and laid down glancing over at me, I began reading and after a few pages he was out like a light." Heh night Toby.." I said kissing his head and turned off the light a small bee shaped light that hung from the ceiling by his bed glowed a soft yellow color. I closed the door some and walked downstairs before tearing up and letting some silent tears fall down before wiping my face and cleaning up.
After I finished cleaning I sat on the couch listening out for Toby, I felt a small buzz from my phone and turned it on to see who the sender was, it wasn't the hospital so I didn't really care I just turned off my phone.
I stayed up all night it wasn't the first or probably last time it would happen since it was only me there I didn't trust that I would wake up if I fell asleep.
-four years later, Alex's POV-
I was walking with Toby to his school to drop him off at school for the first time." You excited buddy?" I asked and he nodded." My friend Tommy from daycare is gonna be here too!" He said happily barely able to contain himself from running around or jumping around.
I smiled some and Toby must of saw his friend because he ran away from my side quickly through a coward of people, 'damn my shortness!' I thought as I ran after him and saw him hugging a boy taller than him that had blonde hair." Hi tubbo!" The boy said smiling." Hi tommy!" Toby replied and I smiled some coming over.
"Tommy don't run off" said a woman with brown hair coming over." Toby here now" I said and he ran back to my side." Sorry papa" he said and I rubbed his head some being careful of his small horns that hid in his hair." Sorry mum" I heard from the boy.
Once everyone was allowed in I hugged Toby in a tight hug." I love you Toby" I said and he squeezed me a bit I could tell he was nervous but excited." I love you too papa" he said kissing my cheek." Bye!" He said then ran over to the boy named Tommy grabbing his hand.
I waved some before I headed home and cleaned up before going to work and worked basically till I had to leave to get Toby from daycare." Hey bud" I said as he came outside to me.
"Hi papa did you have fun at work?" He asked and I smiled and nodded." Did you have fun at school?" I asked and he nodded." Me and Tommy pushed a kid into a sandbox" he said and I snorted some and picked him up off the ground." Well hey that's not nice did you say sorry" he nodded." Well tommy didn't I did" he said and I smiled as I got him in the car." At least you said sorry"
I got in the car and drove home avoiding driving on the road he crashed on, for different reasons. When we got back I unlocked the door and let Toby go inside when I got a phone call so I answered." After some time we found who caused the crash and a court date can be set soon" said a police officer I just hummed in acknowledgment." Okay thank you" I said and hung up as I walked through the door.
"Papa can I make dinner?" Toby asked and I looked at him." Sure what do you want to make?" I asked and he grabbed a piece of paper." This!" He said and it was a recipe page.
I took it and read it." Yep we can make this but I gotta deal with the cutting and putting it in the oven okay?" He nodded and we walked into the kitchen and I placed the recipe page down." I've made it before so we are gonna change it up a bit so you'll like it more okay?" I said and he nodded.
"Okay papa" he said and after we made it I put it in the oven and we went into the living room and I helped him with his homework.
-nine years later, Alex's POV-
I had gotten off of work and heading to a friends house to hang out with some people and when I got there I knocked on the door and the door opened.
"Hello Quackity" said a deeper voice and I looked up at him and smiled slightly." Hi Sam" I said and messed with my beanie some." Come on" he said and I nodded and walked inside.
"Big Q!" I heard a yell and I looked over and saw the blonde haired boy known as Tommy." Hey Tommy" I said smiling some." Big Q!" Yelled Toby running over with Tommy.
"Hey you guys what's up?" I asked." Where the fuck is my hoodie!" Yelled a voice then I heard a small smack sound." Geppy languge!" I heard and shook my head.
I walked over to the living room." Hey guys" I said sitting on the couch." Hey Quackity" said one of the british boys." Sup Wilbur" I said sticking my tongue out some.
After a few hours that felt very slow to me karaoke was suggested by the Karl Jacobs." Okay sure I'll do karaoke" I said and some others agreed some others not so much.
After a little bit it was Sapnap's turn and he picked a song no one knew it was well until it started playing, he sung pretty well and Karl had came over to him." And I'll say will you marry me?" He sung as he got on one knee pulling out a box with a ring it and held it out to Karl, there were some gasps from Puffy and Niki and well Karl.
Sapnap looked nervous really nervous." Yes yes I will!" Karl squealed hugging him tightly making them fall onto the floor giggling, it made me get a small flash of the video he had set up when he proposed to me..." Quackity Quackity it's your turn" said Sapnap and I looked up." Hm? Sorry I zoned out" I said and heard a wheeze." We noticed we've been trying to get you for like ten minutes" said dream and I flipped him off." Hey stop that!" I heard from Bad and I stuck my tongue out at him.
I got up and picked my song and waited for the lyrics to appear." Loving and fighting, accusing, denying I can't imagine a world with you gone" I started to sing, I kept singing going into my own little world.
" I swear to love you all my life Hold on, I still need you Let me take your hand, I'll make it right I swear to love you all my life Hold on, I still need you" I kept singing not realizing tears were rolling down my face rapidly, my back was facing everyone else.
"I don't wanna let go I know I'm not that strong, I just wanna hear you saying, "baby let's go home".. Let's go home... Yeah I just wanna take you home...." I said sniffing some." Hold on, I still want you come back.... I still need you.." I finished and put the mic down using my sleeve to wipe my face and smiled looking at them.
"Quackity you are so good at singing!" Said Karl coming over hugging me and I smiled." Thanks Karl now go back to your clingy fiancee" I said gently pushing him away, he only giggled and hugged Sapnap who hugged back.
After a bit of talking I heard my phone go off and I got up and looked at it walking outside without saying anything." Hello?" I asked.
"He's about to be awake Alex" said the nurse who had been taken care of him this whole time. I froze feelings overcoming so quickly that I just dropped the phone and teared up in a big mix of emotions and I grabbed my phone running through the house and got in my car.
I got to my car and carefully but quickly left their house an sped to him to the hospital he stayed at." I'm Alex i'm here fo-" I noticed a smile on their face." Go ahead" she said and I nodded and ran to his room coming in the room to see him awake." hola mi amor ha pasado un tiempo .. no es así?" I said and his ear flicked as he looked at me," Alex?" He asked and I nodded coming over slowly starting to cry again and I ran to him hugging him.
He pulled me into his lap and I was crying still, hugging him tightly I was just glad he was okay and well." Te amo mi querida" I heard and smiled holding his cheek." Aww you remembered.." I said and he nodded kissing my nose wiping tears from my face.
"Alex why do you have make up by your eyes?" He asked and I tensed up and went to get up but he held me there and wiped away the rest of it." Alex you look horrible you need to sleep and where did this scar come from?" He asked gently running his finger over the scar that went over my eye and lip.
"It's a long story I don't feel like telling right now and I'm fine Schlatt i'm just glad your okay... It's been so long" I said hiding in his shoulder." How long has it been?" He asked and I sat up looking down some.
" You've been in a coma for fifteen years..." I said and he tensed up." Where is toby?!?" He asked and I looked at him." He's with some of his friends" I said and kissed his nose." You have to stay here for a little bit for rehabilitation since it's been so long and you broke your arm in the crash.." I said and he just looked really upset.
"Hey don't be upset.. It's not your fault we aren't mad.. It was my fault you left the house that day..." I said thinking back on the fight we had the night before be got in the crash." Alex...... Alex!" I heard and looked up and heard a heartbeat." Calm down.. Your okay it's okay I love you so much" he said rubbing my head and I nuzzled into him and cried for the first time in fifteenth years about all that had happened.
"Shhh just let it all out... It's okay to grieve but you should have done it sooner.." He said as I kept crying into his shoulder trying to not be so loud, he just held me close." Te amo alex" he said and I smiled some while crying and sniffling.
I was gently being shaken and I rubbed my eyes to see him in front of my face, I teared up and hugged him." I had a horrible nightmare where we were apart for fifteen years.." I said and began crying in his chest, he just gently rubbed my back making my wings appear." Alex unfortunately that wasn't a dream.. You just cried yourself to sleep" he said and I started crying more clinging onto him.
"Hey it's okay all that matters is that we are together again" he said and I nodded as we kissed deeply enjoying the feeling of each other's lips there.
