This is how we thought it should have gone. Originally published circa 1997. Won the Excellence in Fan Fiction Award.

   Story: MacLeod's self-destructive grief and despair after killing Richie is matched only by the determination of Methos, Amanda and Joe to find an answer to why it happened and to save MacLeod from himself.
