Work Text:
It was another day in the city of Mondstat, the sun rays passed through the window leading to the acting Grand Master’s dorm, that being Jean Gunnhildr. The light flashed her golden hair, she woke up letting out a big yawn, she was busier than ever during this time, as Ludi Harpastum was near.
“Today marks 4 months already. 4 months since you left us, time flies by, doesn’t it, Lisa?”
Jean said as she gently caressed a picture of her and Lisa during their wedding.
Lisa had passed away recently, this was because of her lifespan being reduced the moment she was granted an electro vision by the gods. She didn’t tell anyone about it, Jean assumed it was because she didn’t want people to show her pity or sadness simply by being around her. Lisa wasn’t the type of person to enjoy being looked down on or being treated differently because of something so trivial.
The Dandelion Knight went to her deceased wife’s grave and placed a purple rose bouquet alongside a dandelion, to symbolize their relationship and her love for Lisa.
“Lisa, I don’t regret any of the time I spent with you, but sometimes, I really wish I could relive those moments if only for a while.” Said Jean as she wiped tears off her eyes.
Upon leaving the graveyard, Jean found Albedo waiting for her near the entrance.
“I assumed you’d be here, there’s something I wanted to talk to you about, mind if we go to your office?” Said the young alchemist.
They had arrived at the Grand Master’s office, Jean closed the door in order to listen to what Albedo had to say.
“You miss her, don’t you?” Asked Albedo, as he let out a big sigh.
“There isn’t a single day in which I don’t think about Lisa, the things she did for me, for Mondstat, how she helped me grow, and made my days so much more enjoyable. I can’t just forget about her.” Jean tried to hold her tears back.
“What is it that you wanted to talk to me about Albedo?” Asked the knight as she reached out for a nearby napkin.
“I don’t want you to get your hopes up but, I believe there might be a way to relive those times you spent with Lisa. It’s only a guess at best though.” Albedo looked at Jean.
“As crazy as that sounds, I’d like to listen to what you have to say nonetheless. Please go ahead, Albedo.” The Dandelion Knight’s eyes flickered with hope.
Albedo sat down on a nearby chair, as he prepared to give his explanation.
“The Electro Archon, we need help from the Electro Archon.”
Jean looked at Albedo in shock.
“It’s said the Electro Archon is the God of Eternity, and it’s clear she has some sort of control over her time and those she desires to alter. Now that the traveler has resolved the conflict in Inazuma, you could go ahead and pay her a visit, even if what I think proves to be wrong, I think you should consider it, Jean.” Albedo had a serious look on his face.
The Acting Grand Master was left speechless, she wanted to go, but what if it ended with her getting her hopes up for nothing? She was scared, yet at the same time gleaming with excitement if such a possibility was to exist.
Jean sighed.
“Could you tell Kaeya to look over Mondstat while I’m gone? I don’t know how long I’ll take, it’s best if we have someone else in charge until then.”
Albedo smiled gently. “You got it, Grand Master. I hope my theory ends up being correct, good luck on your journey.”
Jean shook Albedo’s hand.
“Thank you so much, Albedo, I can only imagine how much you miss her as well.” Jean smiled and left for her dorm to prepare for the trip to Inazuma.
Getting a ride there wasn’t difficult, Jean and the Tianquan of the Liyue Qixing, Ningguang were actually close friends and kept in touch often through letters. Ningguang called over the pirate, Beidou, to take the Dandelion Knight on her fleet to Inazuma.
The journey there was a bit bumpy, but not as rough as what the traveler had to go through, now that entrance to Inazuma wasn’t as restrictive as before.
Upon arriving in Inazuma, Jean went straight to the Shogun’s palace, in hopes that she could talk to her directly.
“Halt. State your business with the Raiden Shogun.” Kujou Sara said, as she held her ground in the entrance to the palace.
“Good evening, I’m Jean Gunnhildr, the Acting Grand Master of Mondstat. I was wondering if there was a way for me to speak to the Shogun directly.” Said Jean gently.
“Mondstat huh, I’ve heard the traveler speak about you. It’s an honor to finally meet you, Dandelion Knight.” Kujou Sara bowed her head in respect. “I’ll talk to the Shogun and tell her you’ve come to visit, please give me a moment.”
After a while, Kujou Sara returned alongside a woman with long purple hair in a braid and a pink kimono.
“Jean Gunnhildr. Never thought the day would come when we met.” Said the Raiden Shogun.
“Raiden Shogun, it’s an honor to be here in your presence.” Jean bowed her head.
“Please feel free to come inside, we can talk more there.” Jean followed her and Kujou Sara into the palace.
Jean was surprised at how big it was; she was so used to the space inside the Favonius Knight headquarters that she couldn’t help but look amazed at the sight of the palace.
The Shogun and Jean sat down, with Kujou Sara next to the Shogun.
“So, what brings you here? For you of all people to come visit me, it’s quite surprising, I’ve heard from the traveler how dedicated you are to Mondstat and its people, truly remarkable behavior.” The Shogun smiled softly, she was happy to have someone like Jean inside her palace.
“The truth is...it’s something quite selfish, Shogun.” Jean told the Shogun and Kujou Sara how her wife, Lisa, had passed away.
“I heard from the traveler and others that you can manipulate time, so I was wondering...if it was possible for me to meet Lisa again, in the past.” Jean looked at the Shogun with hope in her eyes.
The Shogun was deep in thought.
“It’s true that I can manipulate my own time and others’ as I wish.” Hearing this, Jean smiled.
“But...you have to know that you can’t alter the time of someone who is no longer here, no matter what you do, even if you warn your partner about her death, or try to stop it, the outcome won’t change. Eternity can’t reach that which does not exist any longer.” The Shogun was disappointed that she couldn’t do more for the knight.
“That’s more than enough for me.” Tears filled the Dandelion Knight’s cheeks, as well as a gentle smile.
“Even if I can’t change her fate, the fact that I can see her again makes me really happy. Thank you so much, Raiden Shogun.” Jean kneeled to thank the Inazuma Ruler.
“Please get up, Gunnhildr. You don’t have to thank me. It’s the least I can do for the protector of the nation that’s home to the legendary traveler. If it wasn’t for them, things around Inazuma would’ve kept being grim.” The Shogun smiled back at Jean.
Jean couldn’t believe it, she was going to see Lisa once more. She was overwhelmed with emotions and broke down in front of the Shogun and Kujou Sara.
A few moments later, Jean was more than ready.
“Gunnhildr, in order for this to work, you need to imagine the moment in the past to which you wish to travel to. You will relive all of that time until you decide when you want to stop, stay focused.”
Jean looked inside her memories, she decided to start from the day in which she and Lisa started going out.
“I’m ready, Raiden Shogun.” The Dandelion Knight focused as hard as she could.
The Shogun started to rewind Jean’s time, during this, her body in the present was resting, meanwhile Jean herself started reliving all of those events starting from the moment she chose.
Everything went dark.
Then, the Dandelion Knight heard a voice calling out to her.
“Hellooooo? Wake up sleepyhead~”
“Wait, could it be...Lisa?” Thought Jean to herself.
As she opened her eyes, she was greeted by her beloved wife inside her dorm.
“Now this won’t do, the Acting Grand Master oversleeping? Maybe you should let me help you from time to time after all cutie~” Lisa giggled as she caressed Jean’s face softly.
“L-Lisa...it really is you.” Jean hugged her lifelong love and started crying in her arms.
“Oh my, that excited to see me now are we? I rarely get to see you be this emotional often Jean, not that I dislike it of course.” Lisa raised Jean’s head and kissed her on the forehead.
“I’ve missed you, so so much.” Jean pulled Lisa towards her and kissed her on the lips.
“You missed me? I see you can’t live without me being at your side at all times now, is that it? Maybe we should move in together after all huh?” Lisa said teasingly
Jean reached her hand out to hold Lisa.
“You’re right, I’m going to grab my stuff, we could rent a house in Springvale.” Jean was serious.
“W-Wait! What’s gotten into you sweetheart? You’re really surprising me today~” Lisa giggled “Okay okay, I’ll be sure to pack my stuff as well then, we’ll be set for good by tonight.”
Jean looked at her with her eyes beaming.
“We just started dating and you wanna act like newlyweds already, you really are adorable, my sweet Dandelion Knight.” Lisa blew a kiss to Jean “I’ll see you later at our house then~”
Jean blushed in response.
Letting out a big gay sigh, she laid down on her bed, in disbelief of what just happened.
“It really worked, Lisa is here again.” Jean grabbed a nearby pillow and hugged it, she was giddy. “It’s been so long since I heard her voice, I can’t believe this is happening.” The Dandelion Knight spent some time in her bed, alternating between being happy and crying out of happiness.
Time passed, night fell down on the skies of Mondstat.
Jean and Lisa decided to rent the house on the highest part of Springvale, they didn’t want to be interrupted during their time together after all.
Both of them took Klee under their care, as her mother, Alice, had been away for some time, the three of them began their new life together.
Jean was deep in thought.
“So no matter what I do, I can’t change Lisa’s fate. But that doesn’t mean I can’t change what happens before that. We didn’t move in together until we got married, nor did we have Klee move alongside us.” Jean nodded to herself.
“Are you talking to yourself again cutie? I notice you do it often whenever you’re at the office, I hope it’s not about work this time though.” Said Lisa.
“H-How long have you been standing there for…?” Jean was flustered.
“I’ve been here since you started talking to yourself, the things you say make no sense to me sometimes, you really need a break.” Lisa pulled Jean’s face close to her. “Don’t worry Dandelion Knight, I’ll be sure to help you with that~”
Jean closed her eyes, as she was expecting a kiss.
Lisa simply touched her lips gently with her hand, and left the room with a smile. She loved teasing Jean.
Klee stormed into the room and jumped onto the knight’s lap.
“Master Jean, when do you plan on marrying Lisa?”
Jean was in shock, meanwhile Lisa started laughing loudly all the way from the kitchen in response to the innocent child’s question.
“Very soon Klee, but don’t tell her okay? Keep it a secret between us.” Jean headpatted the tiny knight and gave her a kiss on the forehead.
“Klee and Dodoco will keep it a secret! But please don’t forget to invite us when it happens!” Klee left the room in excitement.
The Dandelion Knight threw herself onto her bed.
“I can’t keep getting emotional in front of Lisa, it’s only going to lead into her feeling like something’s wrong. I don’t know how she would react if she found out I knew about her future.” Jean scratched her head, wondering what she should do next.
Amidst her thoughts, she closed her eyes, only to fall asleep right after.
Jean was woken up by the sound of some dishes in the kitchen. She assumed it was Klee, as Lisa was asleep right next to her.
“I rarely got to see her when she was asleep. Normally she’d be the one to wake me up in the mornings, since I was always busy working late at night.” The Dandelion Knight leaned in for a gentle kiss, she was taken aback by the Purple Witch opening her eyes in that very moment.
“Oh...good morning Lisa, I was just uh-” Lisa kissed her knight right then and there before she could say anything else.
“Good morning cutie…” Lisa let out a loud yawn right after. “I’m going back to sleep...just give me 10 more minutes and I’ll wake up...good night.” Said Lisa, as she fell asleep.
Jean smiled and covered her wife with some blankets before heading to the kitchen.
Klee was looking for ingredients to prepare breakfast.
“Master Jean! Dodoco said he wanted to make breakfast for all of us, so Klee thought we should come explore the kitchen.” Klee was jumping up and down, in hopes of reaching the table.
Jean walked up to her and carried her on her back.
“Klee, what do you say I help you and Dodoco with breakfast?”
Klee’s eyes beamed with joy.
“Will you really? Can we make Dodoco’s favorite dish too?” She said as she hugged Dodoco.
“Of course, Klee. Let’s surprise Lisa too, shall we?” Said Jean, as she picked up a chair so Klee could help her cook.
The tiny knight and her adoptive mom started working on the breakfast together, both of them making their signature dishes. Fish-Flavored Toast, and Jean’s own spin on a classic Mondstat recipe: Mushroom Pizza.
A half asleep Lisa left her room and was surprised by the amount of food that was on the table.
“Jeanie, did you make all this?” Lisa looked at her partner in awe.
Jean giggled. “It was actually all thanks to Klee and Dodoco, isn’t that right?”
Klee raised Dodoco up in her arms.
“Well, thank you, mister Dodoco! I’m really glad to see Klee has you by her side at all times, please keep taking care of her for me.” Lisa kneeled down to pat Klee.
“Let’s eat together shall we? I rarely get to spend this much time with both of you. I'll tell Kaeya to look over Mondstat for a while.” As Jean said this, Lisa looked at her in confusion.
Lisa knew something was up, but she decided to confront Jean about it later, there’s no way someone like her could abandon Mondstat so easily, the city her and her family swore to protect all those years ago.
The 3 of them finished their plates, Jean offered to wash the dishes by herself so Klee and Lisa could relax and lay down.
“Psst! Klee sweetie, come to the bedroom for a bit, I have a present for you!” Lisa called out to the Fleeing Sunlight eagerly.
Klee ran into Lisa’s arms, as she let herself be picked up by the librarian.
“Klee, I’ve noticed how much you have improved recently when it comes to your magic studies, Jean has told me all about your performance at the Archipelago lately! And because of that, I have something I wanted to give you.” Lisa took off her iconic purple hat and placed it on Klee’s head.
“When you grow up and become an experienced mage like your mother, I’ll give you my hat. I know it might not go well with your vision or your outfit itself, so if you want me to make one for you specifically I’d be more than happy to give it!” Said Lisa.
Lisa smiled at the sight of Klee’s overflowing joy in her expresión
“No! Klee wants to have your hat, that way you and her can always be together when Klee goes on adventures!” Klee hugged Lisa.
“Thank you Lisa! Klee loves you lots!” Said Klee while cuddling Lisa.
The child’s innocence was too much for Lisa to handle. She almost broke down crying, she couldn’t believe how wholesome Klee was.
“Then it’s settled! I’ll be sure to give you my hat, promise me you’ll work hard for it though, okay sweetie?” Lisa caressed Klee’s cheeks gently.
“Klee and Dodoco promise!” Klee jumped around with Dodoco in hand.
Klee left the bedroom happily.
“I could hear her excitement even in the kitchen, she really loves you, Lisa.” Said the Dandelion Knight as she entered the room.
“She loves both you and I, Jeanie, she’s practically our child by now, don’t you think? Not that I’m against that of course, I’ve always dreamed of forming a family with you~” Lisa giggled
Jean blushed in response.
“W-Well I mean, we do look after her extensively…even some of the townsfolk here in Springvale asked if she was ours.” Jean sighed softly.
Lisa got up from the bed and locked the door to the room.
“Hey Jean.” Lisa pinned her against the bed.
“Lisa?! This is so sudden…wh-what’s going on?” The Dandelion Knight was left merciless at the hands of a surprise attack by her wife.
“Say…” Lisa touched Jean from head to toe gently. “You’re hiding something from me, aren’t you?” Jean freed herself from Lisa’s soft grasp upon hearing this.
“You’ve always been bad at keeping secrets or even lying, Jeanie, I know you very well.” Lisa approached Jean as she once more pinned her, but this time towards the wall.
“So, won’t you tell me?” The Witch of the Purple Rose knew how to crack the Dandelion Knight.
Jean was left in shock, she was scared.
How would Lisa react if she told her she knew her secret, the one thing she told no one about, not even the Traveler.
Jean cracked under the pressure and started crying in Lisa’s arms.
“Jeanie? I was just messing around, I didn’t mean to pressure you into anything ok?” Lisa patted Jean’s head softly.
“Lisa I-“ Jean hesitated, but she couldn’t live like that again, she couldn’t ignore her wife’s future death and act as if nothing was going to happen.
The Knight raised her head and sat on the bed.
“Lisa, the truth is that...I come from the future. A future in which you’re already…gone. I know what happens to you, I know you’re going to be taken away from me very soon, and I can’t do anything about it. I just wanted to enjoy all these days again, but I can’t ignore the fact that I’ll have to say goodbye to you once more.” Jean laid down on the bed, as she covered her eyes, which were filled with tears.
As she uncovered them, she saw Lisa looking over her.
Lisa leaned in and kissed her partner, as she caressed her face softly.
“Well, if you’re from the future, there’s no point in hiding it anymore, is there?” Lisa sighed.
Jean was confused.
“Do you..actually believe me?” Jean looked at her wife with sad puppy eyes.
“Of course I do cutie! My Jean would never tell a lie, nor would she stop going to work out of nowhere, unless something important had to be addressed of course.” Lisa headpatted Jean.
“You’re very bad at lying, you can’t lie in general, I should say. But I like that about you, among many other things.” Said Lisa, as she kissed Jean in the forehead.
“You know, at some point I thought of doing something about it. I mean, I didn’t want to leave you and Klee alone like that after all. I thought maybe I should hook you up with someone else, but it didn’t feel right. It didn’t feel right for you, or for me.” Lisa sat down next to Jean and held her hand.
“My life after I got my vision was so…boring. I didn’t know what to do- No, it’s more so like, I didn’t want to do anything. If I’m just going to die in the end, why even bother? Until I saw a new face around Mondstat, a knight who didn’t know when to catch a break, who put others before herself at all times, a knight who wanted to lead her own life, but couldn’t.” Lisa looked at Jean with teary eyes.
“I thought to myself, maybe I’ll go mess with her. And I was met with the kindest, sweetest, and most selfless person I’ve ever met. That was when I asked myself: ``Maybe I do want to do something, I want to remain by her side.” Said the librarian, as she broke down crying
“I have so much more to live for than I thought, I want to do so many things with you, I want to raise Klee and watch her grow, I want to enjoy my days with our friends in Mondstat. I had lost sight of all that, and you helped me realize how ignorant I was.” Lisa wiped the tears off her face and leaned close to Jean
“Sooooo, instead of weeping over what’s to come, why don’t we spend all the days we have ahead of us together? Would the honorable Dandelion Knight bless me with her presence daily from now on? Or is that too much for her to handle?~” Lisa had a Grin on her face.
“She’s right, I have to accept that sooner or later, Lisa will die, but that doesn’t mean I shouldn’t enjoy those days and memories I get to share with her while she’s still here.” Thought Jean to herself.
“It would be an honor to accompany you, miss Lisa, let’s seize this moment together.” Jean looked proud.
Lisa laughed hearing this.
“Seize the moment? Jeanie, you’re so corny sometimes, I can’t take you seriously.” Jean covered her face, she was ashamed upon hearing this.
Lisa pulled her close to her chest as she hugged her.
“I love you, Lisa, no matter how much time passes or even if you’re taken away from me once more, my feelings for you will never change.” Jean crossed her arms around Lisa’s waist.
“And I love you, my cute dandelion knight. I’ll always remain by your side, don’t you forget that.” Lisa embraced her wife in her arms, both of them enjoyed a moment together before falling asleep on top of each other.
Time passed, wedding day had finally arrived.
The entirety of Mondstat and it’s people attended, even the famous bard, Venti, decided to pay them a visit during this day.
Jean was trying to stay composed, she had already made it through her wedding before, but the mere thought of seeing Lisa in a wedding dress again, truly shook our dandelion knight to the core.
“Momma Jean!” Klee ran into Jean’s room, she was wearing a white dress with a flower crown surrounding her head.
“Klee! You look so cute sweetie, I take it you’re ready to be the flower girl alongside Barbara, is that right?” Jean picked up Klee and put her on her lap.
“Mhm! But…Klee was wondering if you could help her…Klee wants to make a flower crown for Dodoco!” Klee looked at her mother figure with her eyes beaming.
Jean picked up some flowers from their garden, as well as some dandelions, and put them together for Dodoco’s crown.
“Thank you Momma Jean! Klee and Dodoco love you!” Klee kissed Jean on the cheek and ran off to Mondstat for the wedding.
“Momma Jean…never thought I’d get to hear Klee call me that, when I lived through this the first time we weren’t as close as we are now. I guess moving in together really helped more than I would’ve imagined.” Jean smiled, she was happy to know Klee saw her as a motherly figure.
“I better head over to Mondstat, the wedding will start soon.” Jean tightened her bowtie as she prepared to leave, she was wearing a black tuxedo, with a dandelion hanging from the pocket near her chest.
As the wedding started, Jean was ready, waiting at the altar for her wife.
The door to the church opened, and Jean was met with the sight she had longed to see ever since she leapt back in time.
Lisa was wearing a white wedding dress with gold and purple laces, her gown was light purple, and the flower bouquet she was carrying was full of purple roses.
Jean had gone speechless.
“Ah, there she is, she looks just as beautiful as I remember. I feel like I’m going to choke on my words.” Thought Jean to herself.
“Surprised are we? Even though you’ve lived through this already, I see you really are head over heels for me cutie~” Lisa winked at Jean teasingly.
“No matter how many times I could relive this moment, I would never be ready for it. It means a lot to me.” Jean reached out to Lisa’s hands and held them softly.
“It’s okay Jeanie, I feel the same way. Even if I don’t remember it myself, I’m really happy to know you decided to be with me despite everything.” Lisa smiled as her eyes were teary.
The wedding started, both of them exchanged vows once more and sealed it with a kiss.
“Momma Lisa! Momma Jean!” Klee ran towards their arms excitedly.
“The traveler is here! They brought their Kamera too! Could we take a pic together? Klee wants something to always take both momma Jean and momma Lisa with her everywhere!” Klee pulled Jean from her pants to catch her attention.
“Of course we can! I’d love to commemorate this moment as well, could you please lend us a hand, traveler?” The Dandelion Knight carried Klee in her arms and put her in between herself and her wife.
The traveler counted down and took their picture together, Jean would later frame it and place it in their house. Klee started carrying it around in the pendant she received from Alice in the archipelago, that way she always had her family looking over her.
3 months passed.
Lisa was sick in bed, Jean was laying down next to her, keeping her company.
“Sigh, being sick REALLY is the worst. I don’t want to feel lazy because I’m obliged to, I’d rather just do it myself, hmph.” Lisa pouted.
“Now now sweetheart, remember I’m here for you, ok? If you need something let me know and I’ll take care of it” Jean giggled.
“I’m sorry to keep you around like this Jeanie. Well I guess it’s not all bad, at least I have you all for myself~” Lisa was as playful as ever despite her weak condition.
“I’m not going anywhere, I’m all yours now and forever, Lisa.” Jean leaned in and kissed her wife in the forehead.
Both of them relaxed, with the window leading to their garden open, they were met with a nice breeze of wind and the sound of birds chirping.
“Hey…Jean.” Lisa called out to Jean softly.
“What is it, sweetie?” Jean caressed her cheeks gently.
“When I’m not here anymore…you better leave some dandelions at my grave. I’ve always liked them, they never fail to remind me of you. Could you promise me that?” Lisa’s voice had grown weaker.
“Of course, Lisa. Consider it done.” Jean kept caressing her wife’s face softly.
“Give me your hand for a second.” Lisa took Jean’s hand.
As she did this, she made a purple rose appear from thin air, and placed it on Jean’s hand.
“Back when we first started dating, I noticed how you liked smelling the purple roses we had in our garden. So I thought I’d give you the one I’ve always kept with me. I know you can’t spend a moment without me, now you won’t feel lonely anymore!” Lisa smiled softly, her strength was fading.
“I’ll be sure to take good care of it, Lisa. Thank you so much for this, for everything you’ve done.” The knight knew the time to say goodbye had come once more.
“Hey…Jean?” Lisa called out to her wife once more.
With tears in her eyes, Jean answered. “Yes, Lisa?”
Lisa wiped the tears off of Jean’s face.
“Don’t cry for me, instead be happy, celebrate the fact that I was alive, that I was lucky enough to be a part of your life, and spend so much time next to you. I won’t leave until I see you smile, like you always do.” Lisa’s eyes were growing tired.
Jean let out a big sigh, as she raised her head, her eyes were red. But the tears were gone, she smiled once more, and kissed Lisa in the lips, one last time.
“That’s the Dandelion Knight I know, the one I fell in love with. Thank you, Jean, for living alongside me.” Lisa closed her eyes.
“Lisa, I love you, I love you so so much.” Jean pulled Lisa close to her chest and hugged her.
“I love you too, Jeanie.” Lisa had a faint smile on her face.
“Lisa.” Jean called out to her partner, but got no response.
“Hey, Lisa. You’re just messing with me, aren’t you?” Once again, the knight was left with no response from her wife.
Jean started sobbing on Lisa’s body.
Since Lisa had passed away, it was time for Jean to return to the present. So she bid one last farewell to her partner, and kissed her on the cheek.
She placed Lisa on the bed, and left a dandelion on her hand.
The Knight had returned to the present, she broke down to tears in front of the Raiden Shogun and Kujou Sara, both of them consoled her as best as they could.
When Jean calmed down, she approached the Shogun, and asked her for one last favor.
“Shogun, I know I’ve asked for a lot already but, is it possible for you to stop this flower from aging? I’d like to keep it, for as long as I’m alive, for as long as this world exists.” Jean showed her the purple rose Lisa had given her.
The Shogun smiled, she agreed and stopped the flower’s time. It would no longer wither, lose it’s petals, or grow more.
Jean gave her thanks to both the Shogun and Kujou Sara, she decided to go back to Mondstat.
Upon arriving home, Jean went to her office and placed the purple rose inside a glass case, she left it on her desk. The flower, being with Lisa for so long, had taken in Lisa’s scent, Jean decided to keep it there for that reason, whenever the wind blew through her window. Lisa’s scent filled her office, it was as if she was visiting her or looking over her.
Alongside the purple rose, the Dandelion Knight placed the family photo she, Lisa and Klee took during the wedding.
Jean prepared to head off for the day, as she looked back to her desk, she saw the purple rose emit a faint glow.
Jean smiled at the sight of this as she closed the door to her office.
She went to Lisa’s grave, to place the dandelions she had promised her some time ago.
As the knight got home, she was surprised by Klee, who was asleep on top of the bed that belonged to Lisa.
Right next to her was Lisa’s purple hat, she decided to give it to Klee after all, and the tiny knight was more than happy to be able to carry this memento everywhere she went, she felt protected.
Jean smiled upon seeing this, as she tucked Klee into bed, she looked outside her window.
“Let the wind lead me to wherever you are. For now, and forever, Lisa.” Said the Dandelion Knight, as she turned the lights inside her room off, knowing that her partner would always look over her, and their beloved Klee, even in death.
