Chapter Text
It wasn't as if she didn't enjoy her outputs spectacles , it was just that this was incredibly different from anything she had experienced before. Of course her ex's had money, some less than others, or some pretending they had more than they actually let on. However V definitely had eddies and boy did she spend them. Spend them on the most ridiculous shit.
Judy was sat on her sofa reading an article on the muddling of emotions during passionate scroll sessions, something she had no problem dealing with giving her experience, but it was never any harm to read such stuff, might help broaden her art. She heard the roaring of the Arch through her open window, smiling to herself knowing that V would walk through the door at any moment, who else would have such an obnoxiously loud bike.
She glanced up when she heard her front door slide open, eying V as she strolled into the hallway, her gonk irresistible smile is what she noticed first as V took a few small steps towards her. Judy's eyes roamed upwards glaring at the absolute monstrosity atop her head. Placing the article on the coffee table and staring at V again eyes glued to the black cowboy hat perched on her blonde hair, she breathed out a sigh, "What the fuck is that?"
V placed one hand on her hip and gestured to the hat with the other, "What don't like it? I think it brings out my bright eyes."
"I'll never take you out if you carry on wearing it." Judy scoffed back. V suddenly sported a wicked smirk and walked towards her, stopping at the coffee table placing one foot on top then leaning on her bent leg with her arm, she reached the other up to her hat and tipped it forward "Now,now sweetheart that's a lot of bite for such a small lady don't you think?" she drawled.
Rolling her eyes at the gesture and atrocious accent Judy stood up and flicked her finger at the offending garment, making her way to the kitchen to make some coffee. "Where'd you even get it?".
V followed sitting down at one of the stools by the counter, "Ah some shop in Red Peaks, just round the corner from the River guy I told you about."
"And… how much did it cost."
"20,000 eddies!"
Judy nearly dropped the mugs she'd grabbed from the cabinet, she spun round to V face full of shock while V still sported her adorable grin.
"Twenty fucking thousand eddies V!"
V's smile dropped taking her aviators off eyes looking anywhere except Judy's, she absently played with the countertop "I thought it was a good deal and the Aldecaldos seemed to like it."
"F'course they did, they're practically cowboys themselves." Judy turned back round and started pouring the coffee.
"Fine, I'll sell it tomorrow make back a little bit from what I spent." V took the hat off and placed it on the counter with a little pout adorning her face. Judy placed the coffee in front of them, picking the hat up, holding it out to V. "Now, now cowgirl, go place it in my closet with the MaxTac uniform, where we'll wait for the right...occasion." She'd finished with a wink and that gonk adorable grin was back on V's face.
