Kaeya snapped out of reality and looked back at her, getting up. Why has he been zoning out a lot lately? He nodded at the other. “I’m as fine as a daisy. Speaking of my late assignments, I should get going now. I’ll have them in by tomorrow-“
“No. You can have the next few days off. I don’t usually do this but you need to get your mind out of the gutter before working again” Jean stated, she didn’t want to sound mean. she cared about Kaeya but she needed to be strict.
“I-I’m sorry for my harsh wording but there’s a line that has been crossed over and over again. You’re not doing your job and people have been complaining so please take these next few days off to collect yourself. I’m not doing this to be harsh but for your well-being. I’ll have someone take over for you so please try and get yourself together.”
This had hurt Jean to say but she loved Kaeya like a brother and it hurt her to see how gloomy he looked. Varka would agree with her if he was here, although he would have got more straight to the point and try to see from his perspective but Jean wasn’t going to stand here and wait for work to be done.
