   Summary

   Brendon never joins the band. While he goes through turmoil before finally submitting to a life of a good LDS husband, Ryan finds overwhelming success as a tortured poet and rock-star bachelor. The band is a trio consisting of Ryan, Spencer, and Jon. When Ryan becomes a solo artist in 2009, this universe's split occurs, and the others go their own way. After Spencer recovers from addiction, and Jon is an act in his own right, the three still remain distant friends. Ryan is living the dream, and so is Brendon, yet they remain unhappy. Returning to his hometown for Christmas, they discover the root of their crumbling foundations when the debaucherous celebrity meets a pitiful local in a Vegas bar.
