This is an alternative ending to Chapter 31 of Rule of Wolves, picking up right when Nikolai tells Zoya that he would choose her. I included a passage from the chapter and then used some punctuation to indicate where my writing starts. All characters/world-building are of course from the incredible Leigh Bardugo!!
