Work Text:

“Here we are,” Taehyung announces while turning off the car.

Jungwon’s feline eyes are glued to the window, way bigger than usual, due to curiosity.

“Wow!” the little boy exclaims, in amazement.

Taehyung can’t blame his son, the place is amazing, with wide gardens, a stream that flows just at the side of the restaurant, and wide glass doors that make the insides of the restaurant look so bright. It’s a big and modern structure, it looks fancy even on the outside; it is pretty different from the restaurants they have in the countryside, so it is normal that the kid looks so amazed.

Taehyung was amazed too, the first time he went there; he fell completely in love with all the different kinds of flowers and trees in the garden. They are absolutely beautiful, and Taehyung is curious to see if the garden is still as amazing as it was three years ago.

From the parking lot, at least the restaurant itself still looks untouched, and Taehyung finds himself commenting that out loud.

“It looks exactly like it did three years ago… but I was alone back then, and anxious, so scared that my parents would have started arguing with me for the umpteenth time in a year about the same thing,” Taehyung says, feeling happy at the fact that he can now rethink about that period of his life with a smile, and that luckily every disagreement he had in the past with his parents is now just a memory.

“Are you nervous now?” Yoongi asks him with a soft smile.

Taehyung turns his head toward his husband-to-be, with his half-long black hair, the round face with rosy cheeks, and two beautiful sharp and feline eyes, for which Taehyung has fallen since the first time he has looked at them in that very place three years before.

Taehyung reciprocates Yoongi’s smile, his heart swelling with so much affection while looking at the person he loves. “No, I'm not, I’m mostly excited,” he answers, squeezing one of Yoongi’s knees affectionately.

Yoongi covers Taehyung’s hand with his own, their eyes locking, both filled with fondness. “Then, shall we go?”

Taehyung nods. He is really looking forward to that lunch with their families.

“It’s so big!” Jungwon says excitedly, face still glued to the window.

Taehyung chuckles softened by the kid’s reaction.

“This is the place where I first met your dad, Jungwonie,” Yoongi tells the child.

That’s exactly why they have chosen it to be the place for their pre-wedding lunch. Ironically, the day they met was also for a pre-wedding lunch, one of their brothers’ one.

For this reason, too, it felt really fitting to celebrate there the lunch with their relatives before their special day. Plus, it is also a place closer to their parents and relatives’ houses, closer to the city, so that it isn’t difficult for them to reach it, mostly to their grandparents.

Jungwon emits an impressed verse.

They get out of the car, Yoongi freeing Jungwon from the safety belt, and then start walking toward the entrance hand in hand, Jungwon in between them. The little boy keeps moving his head side to side, admiring the rose bushes, the big fountain on their left and then he starts jumping excitedly when he sees the little playground that the restaurant has for the amusement of the little ones.

Both Yoongi and Taehyung chuckle at his excited reaction, and then promise him that they will take him there at some point during lunch.

The inside of the restaurant is exactly how Taehyung remembers it, with its white and shiny floor, reproductions of famous statues at the entrance, big and elegant chandeliers and big pots of flowers. Everything is extremely fancy, even the food, as Taehyung remembers; Taehyung and Yoongi are not fans of places like those, but they have decided to make an exception just for this special day… and because Taehyung’s mother would have started arguing if they would have organized anything else than a fancy wedding. She is not a fan of the countryside, and neither Yoongi’s parents are, they love the city and its luxuries. In fact, they were all so perplexed when the two of them decided to move in together two years ago in a house far away from the city and immersed in the green.

Both Yoongi and Taehyung love the countryside, the tranquility of it, living a simple life with their farm and orchard, and so many dogs.

Escorted by the waiters, the three are guided toward the private room that they have reserved, which is the same as that day of three years ago. Taehyung remembers that day like it was yesterday; he remembers how he had a bittersweet sensation at seeing his parents that were still bitter about what happened with Taehyung’s first marriage, of how he had just let it end, without trying to convince his ex-wife to stay.

They have never really understood or tried too much to understand why Taehyung has made his decision, why he hasn’t begged Wheein to stay, to resist for him and Jungwon, or why Taehyung doesn’t feel too sad about the end of their marriage; Taehyung knows that they will never understand it. But luckily, after four years from the divorce, and since Yoongi has entered his life, his parents have been too busy thinking about that to keep holding against Taehyung the fact that he had divorced from his wife.

He has a strange sense of dejavu for the whole walk toward the room. Everything feels the same, but it’s also so new.

Three years ago he was on the other side of the door of the room, waiting for his brother and Jisung to appear with the other members of his family and Jisung’s one; waiting for the two betrothed to arrive and to begin the celebration. This time, he is the one that their families are waiting for. He is the one who is getting married tomorrow, and he feels so excited about it! Even if that place makes him feel a little disoriented.

When they open the door of the reserved room, the three boys are welcomed by a loud applause and cheers, that make Taehyung laugh happily, the excitement he can feel from his relatives adding to his own. Yoongi blushes shyly at the attention, but he is smiling too, in an adorable way that makes Taehyung want to kiss him; he absolutely loves when Yoongi becomes so shy in front of people, seeing him like that makes Taehyung’s heart soften so much; but it also makes him want to kind of protect his boyfriend from the embarrassment.

Jungwon’s reaction is of excitement too, mostly since it has been a while since the last time he has seen his grandparents and his great-grandparents; that’s why Yoongi and Taehyung let him go almost right away, the little child buzzing with the need to go hug his grandparents.

That gives Taehyung the opportunity to wrap one arm around Yoongi’s middle, holding his boyfriend close to him and make him feel less shy and embarrassed. Yoongi gladly reciprocates Taehyung’s hold, Taehyung can feel Yoongi relax at his touch.

Another thing that is the same as the last time they have been there, are the guests; but, differently from three years ago, this time the Kim family and the Min one know each other and are completely comfortable with one another.

Taehyung still remembers the awkward introductions and polite conversation that he and his family had with Yoongi’s one. The air was filled with excitement but also with uneasiness. No one was really relaxed, because that was the first time the two families actually met, and everyone wanted to make a good impression on the other family. They were all strangers. Now they aren’t anymore, they are one big family, completely at ease with one another, and Taehyung has actually a pretty good relationship with Yoongi’s parents, maybe even a better one than the one he has with his parents since Yoongi’s ones are not so... traditional, superficial, material and attached to fancy things. In fact, he hugs affectionately every single member of the Min’s family, from his uncles to his two grandparents, to his petite and amazing mum, so kind-hearted, and his cool father. He hugs Jisung tightly; he is probably the Min he is most bonded to after Yoongi, and that he has known for the most time.

Jisung, with a personality that completely clashes with Yoongi’s one. If Yoongi is reserved, shy and quiet, Jisung is loud and energetic, and so open about his feelings; but they are both kind, loyal and adorable people, that like to tease each other a lot but that are incredibly close to each other. They are also physically different, Taehyung would have probably never told that they were brothers, but they have similar ways of smiling, moving and talking; they are both really thin and short with pale skins, both with black hair, but Jisung’s eyes are bigger and his front teeth remind the ones of a bunny. Both of them are really handsome men.

“How does it feel to be on the other side of the door?” Jisung playfully asks Taehyung.

“A bit weird,” Taehyung admits, chuckling. “It feels like I’m living again the same situation, but in a new way.”

Jisung laughs too. “I think that’s totally normal.”

“What about you, how does it feel to be back?”

“It’s emotional,” Jisung answers with a soft smile on his lips, his eyes shining a bit due to the tears, a sight that softens Taehyung, and makes him coo and hug again his brother in law.

“Every day I feel really grateful to have met your brother, Taehyung, he really makes every day of my life feel special.”

Taehyung feels emotional too at those words, because he is really happy to hear that, to know that they are both happy and that his little brother is in such good and loving hands.

Jisung turns his face in the direction where Taehyung’s brother - Hyunjin - is, and Taehyung automatically follows his gaze too; he smiles fondly at the sight of Hyunjin talking with Yoongi. If Yoongi and Jisung are physically very different, Hyunjin and Taehyung are instead so similar! Both handsome in an almost ethereal way, and both so tall. But, like the Min brothers, they have different personalities. Hyunjin’s personality is closer to Yoongi’s one, while Taehyung’s is closer to Jisung’s one, and maybe that’s why the four of them have bonded so much.

Taehyung was in his last year of university when Hyunjin and Jisung met; the Kim brothers were still living together with their parents in their big villa in the city at that time, so Taehyung has been a witness of how his brother’s and Jisung’s relationship has evolved with time. They have started as enemies, hating each other because both jealous of how good the other’s academic results were; they were both attending the same university to both become biologists.

An antipathy that slowly, somehow, has turned into both of them tolerating each other, then in a friendship, and then in something way deeper. Taehyung has gone from silently listening to Hyunjin’s outbursts about how he hated Jisung and how much he was arrogant and silly, to hear Hyunjin praise Jisung for something he had done, and then meeting the famous Jisung and have him at their house daily.

It has been a wild ride, and Taehyung would have never expected for them to arrive at the point of getting married.

When Hyunjin and Jisung announced to him that they were planning to get married, it was the period Taehyung was busy with divorce papers, advocates, his family pressuring him to rethink his decision; it was a really bad period for him, and mostly for a marriage announcement, but Taehyung felt actually genuinely happy for them, and excited at the idea of his little brother getting married.

And the reason why he went to that same restaurant three years ago, despite him not really wanting to face his family, was because he really wanted to be there for his brother and Jisung for their special celebration.

Three years before

Hyunjin hugs Taehyung tightly. “I’m so glad you are here,” he whispers to his older brother, both of them smiling, Taehyung’s heart filled with so much affection.

“I couldn’t miss it,” Taehyung tells him. Since they have stopped living together five years ago, Taehyung is less used to see his brother, and to him, it seems like Hyungjin keeps growing up and looking more mature every time he sees him; he always looks taller than the previous time Taehyung has seen him, and it’s really weird, because in a way, to Taehyung, his little brother will always remain just that: little, the kid with round cheeks, long limbs and foxy eyes that has always been shorter than Taehyung, always looking for his older brother to ask him for advice and struggling opening up to adult life.

It feels weird to now see him… being an adult, and being taller than him, and doing things on his own. Weird, but it also makes Taehyung feel really proud of who he has become.

“Today and tomorrow will be your special days, and I wanted to be part of both of them, even if that means that I will have to listen to mum telling me once again that I have made a mistake,” Taehyung pulls away from the hug and softly puts one of Hyunjin’s long blond hair strands behind his ear. His hair is naturally dark brown, like Taehyung’s, but he has recently bleached it blond, and it suits him a lot!

“Don’t worry, I have told mom and dad to leave you alone and to leave this story behind just for these two days,” Hyunjin reassures his brother, squeezing one of his shoulders.

Taehyung smiles at him, grateful, but he is not completely sure that his mother and dad will keep the promise, mostly his mom; it’s really hard for her to keep her mouth shut when there’s something bothering her. But he has to admit that at least from his arrival to then, his mother has completely avoided the topic, and just asked Taehyung about Jungwon and just nodded when Taehyung told her that he is with Wheein.

When, after Jisung and Hyunjin have greeted everyone, one of their waiters for the day encourages them to sit around the long table, Taehyung finds himself sitting right by Hyunjin’s side and close to one of their cousins, the chair in front of him remaining empty.

When Taehyung asks Hyunjin why there’s no one sitting in front of them, just at Jisung’s side, it’s Jisung himself that answers him, probably overhearing Taehyung’s question.

“Oh it’s for my brother, Yoongi.”

The name sounds unfamiliar to Taehyung; he remembers Jisung mentioning having an older brother, but somehow he must have forgotten, because even when he has introduced himself to Jisung’s family it has never come to his mind that there was a brother missing.

“He had an important photoshoot this morning so he will arrive later,” Jisung explains to him, with a smile, not seeming to be bothered by that.

“Photoshoot? Is he a model?” Taehyung asks, because it’s the first job that comes to his mind, and also because, with how beautiful Jisung is, Taehyung wouldn’t be surprised if he had a handsome brother too.

Jisung burst into laughter at that, leaving Taehyung a bit perplexed, not understanding why the question is so hilarious for the other.

“Sorry Taehyung,” Jisung says to Taehyung when he is able to talk properly again, without being shaken by laughter. “It’s just that Yoongi is really shy and reserved, and he would rather die than be in front of a camera.”

Taehyung smiles, understanding.

“He is a photographer,” Jisung adds, and Taehyung is fascinated by that; he has always loved photography but never really been able to dedicate to it too much of his time, despite his desire to learn; he was too busy studying and learning how to play the piano and the saxophone, hobbies that his parents have encouraged him to cultivate. Taehyung thinks that it will be interesting to talk with this Yoongi about his work, he already has a few questions he wants to ask him.

But when Yoongi eventually shows up, dresses up in a total black outfit, his hair pulled back, multiple earrings hanging from his lobe and light make-up on his eyes, Taehyung suddenly feels like his mind has completely shut off, and he doesn’t remember even one of the questions he wanted to ask him.

He looks absolutely stunning, so incredibly delicate and tough at the same time, and his eyes are so magnetic, they give him a mysterious look. Taehyung feels himself completely falling for how the man looks. It has been a while since he has felt something like that, since he has felt attraction toward another person that wasn’t his ex-wife, and it feels kind of overwhelming.

Taehyung is not by any means a shy person, he likes to meet new people and talk with them, he finds it pretty easy to talk even with strangers; he has made so many friends just by randomly starting talking with people at the supermarket, or at the kindergarten, or just on the bus! But right now, Taehyung feels like he doesn’t know how to talk anymore, how to be his usual chatty self.

And it gets worse when Yoongi’s eyes meet his, and everything around them just disappears, Taehyung’s stomach feeling weird, like when you are on a plane and it suddenly lowers itself.

He feels like his eyes are glued to Yoongi’s and he is unable to tear them away and stop admiring how beautiful he is. Taehyung must look like a fool, but Yoongi doesn’t seem uneasy at the way Taehyung is staring right back at him.

When Jisung introduces them, Taehyung somehow regains the ability to talk, even if his mind still feels like it’s not really functioning at its best; at least he is able to smile at Yoongi and tell him it is nice to meet him, instead of just staring at him.

The fact that Yoongi sits right in front of Taehyung, doesn’t help the man feel calmer, and the first moments of that new arrangement are really tough, because everything inside Taehyung feels like it’s tingling and his heart is beating a little faster, and his eyes keep returning on Yoongi’s face. He is also pretty quiet, a thing that catches Hyunjin’s attention right away since he knows too well that Taehyung is never that quiet!

Taehyung avoids his brother’s foxy eyes, not wanting him to see how he is struggling to keep those sudden new emotions under control.

Thankfully, it gets better; slowly, but better anyway, and if firstly Taehyung and Yoongi weren’t really able to talk to each other directly - both preferring to talk to their brothers or relatives at their other side -, with Jisung and Hyunjin’s help, they start to warm up to the other’s presence and talk.

They talk mostly about their respective brothers, teasing them, reminiscing funny moments, or comparing their experiences as older brothers. Taehyung finds out that Yoongi is three years older than him, that he studied photography in a private school, that he has had this passion since he was a kid.

“Since I’m not really talkative, photography has always helped me show people the world as I see it or what is going on inside my mind,” Yoongi explains to him, and Taehyung finds that a beautiful motivation, that makes him want to know Yoongi better.

Finally feeling like himself again, despite he still feels nervous but in a positive way when talking with Yoongi, Taehyung has the chance to ask Yoongi more about his work and little tips he could use to take nice photos. They also talk about Taehyung and his work at the redaction of a popular magazine that mostly talks about animals and nature in general, two things that Taehyung loves.

Taehyung finds out that Yoongi is a nature lover too, and he expresses to him his desire to leave the city at some point, to live in a house immersed in nature, with a lot of animals around.

Taehyung feels himself smiling so brightly at the image Yoongi is painting, because he would like something like that too, mostly now that him and Wheein are not together anymore and, for the first time, Taehyung can actually decide for himself on how to continue his life.

He would really like a house in the countryside, living with animals, growing plants, away from the city and all his noises and smokes. There’s an awkward moment when Taehyng expresses those words out loud and the both of them blush at the realization that both of them want the same thing for their future, Taehyung’s heart beating so fast inside his chest!

An embarrassment that luckily is broken by Taehyung’s grandma asking him to come to her to spend a little time with her since it has been months since the last time he has seen her. Taehyung feels both relieved and disappointed at leaving Yoongi, he was really enjoying talking with him, the both of them finding it really easy and nice to talk to each other; but at the same time, Taehyung feels a little scared at the strong way he is feeling toward Yoongi, and thinks that clearing his mind won’t be too bad.

A chat with his grandmother becomes a chat with Yoongi’s grandparents too, and then with his own uncles and aunts, and somehow Taehyng loses track of time, and loses Yoongi. When his aunt finally lets him go after asking him about his life right now in detail, Taehyung moves his head around the room, looking for Yoongi, but he doesn’t see him, and he has no time to properly look for him, because his phone is suddenly ringing in the pocket of his blazer.

Taehyung looks at the screen of his phone, and fear grows inside his stomach when he sees that his ex-wife is calling him, fearing that something might have happened to Jungwon.

He quickly walks out of the room and out of the restaurant, he picks up the call when he arrives in the garden in front of the entrance of the restaurant.

“Wheein?!” Taehyung says, preoccupation clear in his voice.

“Dada!” Jungwon’s voice is loud and cheerful, something that reassures Taehyung in a way, but not completely. There might still be a bad reason behind that call.

“Jungwon! Has something happened?”

“No,” the kid answers, seeming taken aback at Taehyung’s serious and worried tone.

Taehyung silently sighs, his preoccupation completely disappearing. “Oh! So why are you calling, little bean?” he asks with a calmer tone.

“I missed you dada!” Jungwon answers, and from the way his voice sounds, Taehyung can tell that he is probably pouting right now.

Taehyung smiles, softened at that. “Aw honey, dada misses you too, a lot, but tomorrow we will finally see each other!” he tries to cheer up the baby. It’s not unusual for Jungwon to call him when he is at his mother’s house because he misses Taehyung, but it also doesn’t happen frequently, since Wheein always plans for him a lot of games to play or excursions to do, that always entertain the kid enough to not make him feel nostalgic at the thought of Taehyung.

Today must be one of those days in which those activities are not enough to keep him entertained, or maybe it’s the fact that, this time, Jungwon has spent more days at Wheein’s than the usual three or four.

“We have Hyunjin uncle’s wedding, do you remember?” Taehyung asks the baby. He knows already that the little boy will absolutely love tomorrow’s celebration; he really likes when all of Taehyung’s family is reunited, and he likes music and dancing, and likes food a lot!

He will surely have a blast.

“Yes, dada! I want to put the butterfly on!” Jungwon’s so excited that his voice sounds more high-pitched than usual.

Taehyung laughs at that, amused. The butterfly is nothing but the bow tie, that Jungwon has seen on Taehyung a month ago, when Taehyung was trying on the smoking he is going to wear for the wedding; the kid has seen it and somehow fallen in love with it, or maybe it was because the bow was pink, and Jungwon loves everything that’s pink; the small blazer he will wear tomorrow it’s also pink and matches with the also small bow tie that Taehyung has bought for him.

Taehyung is not sure Jungwon will still love it after hours with that thing around his neck - Taehyung surely won’t -, but the kid wanted to try it, and Taehyung didn’t see a reason to tell him no.

“Of course, little bean! You’ll look so pretty tomorrow! We’ll have so much fun together!”

Jungwon emits an excited shriek that makes Taehyung smile, his heart swelling with affection. “Are there going to be swings?”

Jungwon’s second love: the swings; he goes absolutely crazy every time he sees one, he loves the sensation it gives him, loves the sensation of coming closer to the sky.

“I don’t know baby, hopefully there will be. If not, dada will take you there first thing Sunday morning.”

“Yes! Thank you dad! You are the best!”

Taehyung chuckles, his heart beating happily at probably the best compliment ever.

“Everything for my little bean,” he says, and he is completely serious about that. Taehyung would do anything for his son, to see him happy, to keep him safe, to give him anything he needs. He would have never thought he could love a person so much, but Jungwon is his whole world and seeing him happy and healthy makes Taehyung happy too.

“So, what were you doing?” Taehyung asks, and Jungwon, being as chatty as his father, starts telling his dad about all the things he did that morning, in detail, telling Taehyung all about what he has seen during their ride on the bicycle with Wheein. And he tells him about the castle he is building, and how his mom’s kitten tries insistently to break it down.

Taehyung steps in the conversation only a few times, making comments or questions, but he mostly stays quiet, loving to hear his son’s voice and him talking with so much enthusiasm. He is always so cheerful and smiley, he is an actual little sun. Hearing him talk makes Taehyung miss him so much too, but he doesn’t regret not having taken Jungwon with him today, he wanted to give the kid a day more to spend with his mom; he considers it really important, he wants Jungwon to spend as much time with his mother as he can.

It’s hard to hang up the phone, and they keep saying goodbye to each other at least for a whole minute, but they both manage to, after remembering that they will see each other tomorrow.

Taehyung closes the phone call and turns on himself to go back inside, but he stops when he realizes that there’s someone at the side of the restaurant’s entrance, just a few feet away from him.

Taehyung winces, but then recognizes Yoongi, who is staring right back at Taehyung, his cheeks red; he wasn’t probably expecting to be caught.

“Oh, damn!” Taehyung mumbles, scared, his heart beating so loud inside his chest. Taehyung brings a hand over it in a silly way to make it calm down.

Yoongi diverts his eyes from Taehyung. “I’m sorry, I didn’t want to scare you or… overhear your conversation. I was just here to smoke and…”

“It’s okay,” Taehyung interrupts him, not really wanting for Yoongi to feel embarrassed or guilty. “It wasn't anything private, don’t worry… it was my son.”

Yoongi can’t hide the surprise on his face. “A son? That explains the ‘little bean’,” an amused smile opens upon his face.

Taehyung is the embarrassed one now. “I like to call him that, because when he was born he was… well… round like a bean,” he chuckles.

“It’s really sweet,” Yoongi comments, sincere, and the two of them exchange a smile. Taehyung’s heart is again beating quickly, but this time, not because he is scared, but because Yoongi’s smile makes him feel all funny inside.

Taehyung unlocks his phone, and taps on the photos icon, wanting to show Yoongi a picture of his little bean. He usually is not the type of parent that brags about his son, but for some reason he has felt the desire to show Yoongi his baby, share with him that big part of his life.

“That’s him, his name is Jungwon.”

Yoongi smiles while looking at the picture that Taehyung has taken just a few weeks ago, of Jungwon proudly smiling while holding a really big ice cream cone that he deeply desired for the whole day and that he of course has ended up sharing with his dad because even if he claims to be a grown-up and to be able to eat a big ice cream all alone… in reality, he can’t.

“He is adorable!” Yoongi comments and Taehyung melts, content.

“So cute,” Yoongi giggles at the picture of Jungwon dressed up as one of Santa’s elves. “His eyes are so beautiful.”

“They are, he has got it from his mom,” Taehyung smiles down at the photo. He absolutely loves Jungwon’s eyes too, they are sharp and feline, just like Wheein’s… and kind of like Yoongi’s ones. Taehyung must have a thing for feline’s eyes.

“Is he with her now?” Yoongi asks him, raising his eyes to look at Taehyung.

“Yes we… we are separated,” Taehyung grimaces, locking the phone once again.

“Oh, I’m sorry, I didn’t want to be intrusive,” Yoongi looks at him apologetically.

Taehyung shakes his head. “You’re not, it doesn’t really make me as sad as people might think, it was a mutual agreement, and me and Jungwon’s mother are still friends,” he reassures the black-haired man at his side, that only now, by their proximity, Taehyung notice being shorter than him.

“Unfortunately we… had Jungwon at a very young age… well not so young, I was twenty-five and she was twenty-three but… we were still naïve and… didn’t really want to have a baby... it just sort of happened,” Taehyung feels the need to tell the other. “I know, how can these things happen in the twenty-first century?!” he snorts.

“I’m not judging you, don’t worry,” Yoongi tells him, and there’s reassurance and understanding in his eyes. “I can actually understand, things like this can still happen, even if people try to be careful.”

“Yeah,” Taehyung sighs; they really thought they were being careful, but apparently they weren't enough… and that little distraction has changed their whole world. “Luckily, I managed to finish university before the kid was born, but Wheein hasn't. Hers and my parents pushed us to marry so that… people wouldn’t have thought that we had a baby outside marriage or that we didn't want a baby,” Taehyung rolls his eyes; the more he thinks about those stupid reasons, the more he still feels annoyed by them, despite all the time that has passed. “Despite neither of us being ready to have a kid, we didn’t want to give him to somebody else or have an abortion, so… we kept him, and we married, because we cared for one another and we thought it would have been enough, that despite us not wanting to conceive… things could still go well.

“But they didn’t, we have only lasted four years; four years during which we realized that we aren’t made for each other, that we care about each other but not in a way two married people should. Also, Wheein started feeling suffocated by her new life and the fact she had to drop university and be forced into a future she didn’t want. She loves Jungwon but... everything was just too much for her, that has always been this free spirit, always led by her heart. That’s the reason I fell in love with her, because she was confident, independent, free... and I have seen her burn out day by day in a life that has made her anything but free.”

Taehyung still feels so sad at the thought of those days, at how he could clearly see that Wheein wasn’t feeling well, that there was something inside her that was slowly breaking her. It was horrible seeing someone he cared so much being so sad and hurt.

“We fought a lot, never really agreeing on anything, even what to eat for dinner! And she was bitter because she couldn’t find a job because she didn’t have a degree and because she had a small child. So, I have actually understood when she has told me that she wanted to get a divorce, and I haven’t insisted for her to keep fighting like my parents wanted me too, because I knew it wasn’t right. She deserved to be happy, I deserved to be happy too, and Jungwon didn’t deserve a stressed mother and a father that tried to keep together something that was destined to crumble. Didn’t deserve to see us arguing and being miserable. I still think that it was the best solution for all of us, mostly since Wheein now it’s way more relaxed and she still spends a lot of time with Jungwon despite him living with me.”

“Does he miss having you two together?” Yoongi asks him, after listening silently to Taehyung the whole time, not a trace of judgment in his eyes.

“The first months have been tough, he frequently asked me about his mom, and cried because he missed her. He asked a lot of questions,” Taehyung answers, remembering how he felt his heart break every time Jungwon cried because he missed his mom or asked Taehyung about the reason she wasn’t there with them anymore. “Now he has gotten better, I see him happier too, and I bring him to his mother every week, so I try to make him never miss her too much.”

“That’s good. You have made a brave decision,” Yoongi smiles kindly at him.

“Thanks,” Taehyung reciprocates the smile. “Despite the fact that I don't regret my decision, sometimes I can't help but wonder what would have happened if I tried to make things work with Wheein… maybe things would have gotten better if I only tried harder,” he admits, telling out loud a thing that he has always been too afraid to tell others, not wanting to be judged by them or to hear his parents repeat to him once again that he has made a mistake.

Yoongi shakes his head, not agreeing. “It wouldn’t have changed things. It wasn’t just about you. You have tried to do what was best for everyone, so you shouldn’t feel guilty about that. I would have probably done the same thing.”

Despite Yoongi being mostly a stranger, Taehyung feels somehow truly relieved by his words, and really moved at the fact that Yoongi isn’t judging him and has listened to him so carefully despite Taehyung telling him things that Yoongi hasn’t asked to know. There’s something about Yoongi, the calm way he speaks and the fact that he is so gentle and soft in the way he smiles and acts, that makes Taehyung feel strangely at ease and secure around him, like he can trust Yoongi. “Thank you,” Taehyung says, hoping that Yoongi will see, inside his eyes, how much he appreciates his words. “I’m sorry if I have bothered you with this story, it wasn’t what you asked for.”

“It’s okay, it helped me know you better,” Yoongi replies, and he looks honestly content about that.

Something gives Taehyung enough courage to say: “I would like to know you better too.”

Yoongi smiles pleased at those words, cheeks getting of a light shade of red. “We still have a few hours today and tomorrow to spend some time together, so I would love to keep talking with you,” Yoongi tells him, and a boxy and excited grin appears on Taehyung’s face; he feels so excited at the idea.

Today

Three years from that day and, for Taehyung, Yoongi still is the person with whom he can easily talk to. Taehyung always feels secure at telling Yoongi everything, even the saddest thoughts that sometimes come to his mind; because there’s no one that understands him as much as Yoongi does.

Despite them having such different personalities, they somehow match each other, and they get along pretty well, that’s why when Yoongi asked Taehyung to marry him a few months ago, Taehyung didn't hesitate to say yes. Despite his bad experience with his first marriage, Taehyung doesn’t fear that this time everything will go bad too, because the way he feels when he is with Yoongi, the immense and undying love he has for him… Taehyung has never felt it before, not for anyone else.

What he and Yoongi have is special, Taehyung loves the way they always learn from each other and how they support each other. He also loves how tender and caring Yoongi is with Jungwon, and how the kid seems to love Yoongi as much as the man does.

Taehyung is always so moved when he sees them playing together, cuddling on the couch or talking to each other when Jungwon throws a tantrum and he gets upset with Taehyung and Yoongi, with his pacate aura always manages to make the two make peace again. Or like right now that he is observing Yoongi pushing the swing on which Jungwon is on with a fond smile, while Jungwon seems to be having the time of his life, shrieking excitedly.

Taehyung loves them so much and he knows it, but sometimes, when he finds himself looking at them from afar like right now, seeing them so happy, Taehyung really realizes how deep his love for them is, how lucky he feels to have both of them in his life.

The lunch with their families goes really smoothly and it is actually really nice to spend some time with his family after so long, catching up with the busy lives of his cousins and uncles that he doesn’t hear from so often; he has the occasion to hold and get to know better his nephews, the children of his and Yoongi’s cousins. He has the occasion to talk more about the adoption process with Hyunjin and Jisung who are a little stressed out by how difficult the process is and how many documents and controls they have to do to be considered ‘worthy’ of adopting a child.

He has time to talk to and hold closer his grandma, who it’s probably the member of his family that he misses the most now that he has moved to the countryside; that woman has been a really important figure in Taehyung’s life, she has helped his parents raise him, and the fact that she is still alive to assist to Taehyung’s second marriage makes Taehyung so happy.

They talk a lot and eat a lot, Taehyung and Yoongi moving from one side of the table to another to be sure to talk with everyone. They have a good time, and having all their families reunited there, only makes Taehyung feel more excited for tomorrow, for their special day.

Taehyung and Yoongi keep remeninshing, for the whole lunch, the memories of the day they have met; they wonder about what would have happened if Yoongi didn’t show up to the lunch because of his work, and concluded that in a way or another they would have probably fallen in love with the other whenever they would have met. They talk about how many things have changed, like Yoongi not smoking anymore, Taehyung not working in that magazine’s redaction but now writing articles as a freelancer, and them living together in the house both of them dreamed of having.

It’s strange to think that that day they were strangers; Taehyung has gotten so used to Yoongi in the past years, that he can’t even remember a day in life when he hasn’t woken up hugging him in between his arms, or a time when he didn’t kiss his pouty lips every time he got the chance, or just held his hand or tell him how much he loves him every time he feels like it.

It has been so natural for them to get closer, to get intimate, that Taehyung struggles to think that three years ago, in that same room, they didn’t do anything they are doing today, they weren’t that close, they weren’t looking at each other like they are their respective whole world.

But it also makes Taehyung reflect on how much time has passed, on how much their relationship has evolved, and how much of their lives they have shared. Taehyung is really happy with how they are now.

And is so sure that Yoongi is the one he wants at his side for the rest of his life.

 🍰

The next morning, Taehyung wakes up way earlier than his alarm, because he is too excited to keep sleeping. He wasn’t really too excited for his first wedding or, at least, not like he is now. The first time everything has been rushed out, a wedding planned in just a few months because both his and Wheein’s parents were anxious at the thought of the baby to be born without Taehyung and Wheein being married.

Taehyng hasn’t really participated in the organization of his first wedding, because both him and Wheein were too overwhelmed by what was happening to really be able to decide something. Also, they didn’t really want to get married, so they didn’t really feel like planning a celebration. They just trusted their families with that… to put it in a nice way.

Despite everything, Taehyung remembers the day of his first wedding as a serene day. They were in love, and that helped them face everything and enjoy the celebration; it helped them almost forget that that wedding wasn’t their idea, that their lives were slowly changing in a way they wouldn’t be able to come back from.

The day of their wedding they swore to love each other forever, and Taehyung remembers to have told Wheein that, despite that not being the life they wanted, he was happy to be there with her, that he wanted to put an effort so that everything would have gone right.

He truly believed that. Unfortunately, Wheein didn’t. They loved each other, but not enough, and they weren’t made for each other. Taehyung knows now, because the way he feels for Yoongi is completely different from how he felt when he was with Wheein, and he is sure that that’s the way someone is supposed to feel when he finds the right person, when you are truly in love with someone.

From the divorce, Taehyung has understood that he should have never made his parents and Wheein’s choose for them ever again, that he should have never been just a passenger in his life, that letting others decide for him was the perfect formula for a disaster.

That’s why he never changed his mind about the divorce despite what his parents said. That’s why he hasn’t listened to them when just a year after knowing Yoongi, Taehyung decided to move with him away from the city and from them, when he left his job, when he accepted Yoongi’s proposal despite them being together for only three years.

Taehyung has changed his life the way he wanted it to be, and he is really happy and proud of that.

This time, he has planned everything for his wedding, and the preparation has taken him a lot of time; but it was worthy, Yoongi has been at Taehyung’s side every step of the preparation, but has mostly let Taehyung express his creativity and organize the wedding he has always wanted.

So, Taehyung feels really excited at the idea of seeing everything he has planned for the past few months come to life!

He spends the hours before the ring of the alarm walking from one side of the room to the other, checking his tuxedo and accessories more and more times, and checking his sns. Those hours seem to last forever, and everything is made longer by the fact that Jungwon is peacefully sleeping on the bed, and Taehyung can’t make any noise to not wake him up.

The fact that he keeps fantasizing about what is going to happen today doesn’t really help him calm down, he is just too euphoric.

When the clock ticks seven o’clock, the alarm finally rings, and Taehyung almost screams from relief. He wakes Jungwon up, maybe too enthusiastic for this early in the morning, because Jungwon sends him a dirty look, annoyed by all the fuss Taehyung is making. They order the room service for breakfast, and wait for it, but also for Hoseok and Jimin’s arrival.

Yesterday, after the long lunch, Yoongi and Taehyung separated for the night, to both celebrate their bachelor parties. Taehyung has celebrated it with his two best friends: Hoseok and Jimin, the first man that he has met because he worked with him, the second man that Taehyung has met at university. He has known them for years, they are the same people that have celebrated Taehyung’s first bachelor party and the two people other than Hyunjin that have been closer to Taehyung during the divorce.

They are really good friends of his, and Taehyung loves them so much, mostly because they are two loud people just like him, and they all like to party and have fun, so they are the best people to call when it comes to celebrating a bachelor party. They went to a club to dance and drink - just a bit -, after they ate some street food in one of the city’s main streets, and then they returned to the hotel, where they watched a romantic film and ended up crying, moved by it like three crybabies. When Taehyung’s mom has brought back Jungwon for the night, the kid was so worried at seeing his dad and his uncles so upset, and being the angel he is, he has soothed them remembering that that’s just a story.

All the invited to the wedding and the two grooms have slept in the rooms of the hotel where the wedding will be celebrated, so, Hoseok and Jimin arrive just on time.

They help Taehyung and Jungwon get dressed, Jimin does Taehyung’s make up while Hoseok styles his dark brown hair so that his bangs are parted and pulled back except for one small strand that Hoseok curls up a bit.

“Watching my sister getting ready has finally come to use,” Hoseok comments proudly when he looks at the perfect way he has styled Taehyung’s hair.

Taehyung is pretty satisfied too, and Jungwon is too, since he keeps looking at Taehyung with wide and amazed eyes and keeps repeating to Taehyung how beautiful he looks and how he wants to become like him when he gets older. He even asks Jimin to put some makeup on him too, a sweet request to which Jimin can’t resist, but he puts on him just a little makeup, without exaggerating.

Taehyung is satisfied with Jimin’s work on him too, the orange eyeshadow he has put on Taehyung’s eyelids perfectly matching with Taehyung’s light orange tuxedo.

Orange and white are the two theme colours of the wedding. Taehyung didn’t want him and Yoongi to dress up in black, he wanted the wedding to be colourful, cheerful, so he chose orange! And also white because Yoongi is not really a fan of colourful outfits and Taehyung didn’t want to make him feel uneasy by wearing an orange suit like his.

All the guests will wear something orange or white too, like Hoseok, who is wearing an orange tie, or Jimin, who has a cute orange daisy in the pocket of his blazer. Or Jungwon, who has an orange bow tie around his neck. Apparently he still loves them and doesn’t find them annoying; Taehyung was so surprised when after Hyunjin and Jisung’s wedding Jungwon told him that he did want to keep wearing bow ties every day.

Differently from the night hours, from the moment his friends step in the room, the hours seem to fly, and suddenly it’s already the moment for Taehyung to get down and meet his groom.

“Are you scared dada?” Jungwon asks Taehyung while they are walking down the hallway to go take the elevator.

Taehyung frowns, taken aback by the question. “No baby, why do you think that?”

“Your hands are shaking,” the boy replies, sending a perplexed look at Taehyung’s big hand that is completely engulfing his smaller one.

Taehyung chuckles; he didn’t even notice it. “That’s because I’m really excited, and maybe a little nervous too,” he explains, his stomach feeling a little weird, but in a totally good way.

“Don’t worry dada, I’ll be by your side the whole time!” Jungwon affirms, solemnly. Taehyung smiles softened at that, because those are the words that Taehyung usually tells the little boy when he wants to reassure him.

Taehyung feels so moved by the little boy’s sweet words that he stops his walk, making the boy frown again, perplexed, but then his eyes widen with curiosity when he sees Taehyung crouch so that he is properly looking his son in the eyes.

“I know little bean, and I feel so grateful to have you by my side,” Taehyung tells him, caressing softly one of Jungwon’s round cheeks. Jungwon’s eyes almost close while he smiles happily at his dad. “Dada loves you so much, more than anything.”

Jungwon wraps his little arms around Taehyung’s neck, holding him tightly. “I love you too dada.”

Taehyung holds Jungwon’s thin and little body against his and places a few kisses just right beside one of the boy’s ears, his heart filling with so much love.

His little boy is already eight, he has grown up so much, and he is still one of the sweetest people Taehyung has ever met.

After that soft moment, father and son reach Jimin and Hoseok that have already arrived at the end of the hallway; they are hand in hand and both smiling so brightly.

The venue of the wedding is the garden of the hotel, the part of it where all the orange trees are, all beautiful and blooming. It’s from them that Taehyung has gotten the idea for the theme colours of the celebration, every guest will match with those sweet-smelling trees that will make a perfect frame for that important moment.

A white and long carpet has been spread on the grass, in between two sections of whiter wooden chairs that have white and orange slim drapes on their backs. At the end of the long carpet, there’s a little table, with a white drape on it, behind which the state official will stand.

When Taehyung arrives at the garden, all the guests are all there, sitting on the chairs, chatting among them, and there’s Yoongi, who is talking with Seokjin and Namjoon, his two best men, who are standing right beside him in front of the state official.

The venue is even more beautiful than what Taehyung had pictured in his mind when he first came with Yoongi to see the hotel, and he feels so relieved at the fact that today the weather is beautiful, the sky so blue, without even a cloud.

His shaking must have gotten worse at that sight, just like the beating of his heart, because Jungwon holds Taehyung’s hand more firmly, like to remind him that he is right there, and that everything will be alright.

Jimin and Hoseok both hug Taehyung, before going to take their seats, just after giving to Jungwon the basket full of white and orange petals that he will spread all over the white carpet while he will precede Taehyung during their walk till where Yoongi is.

Hoseok and Jimin alert the state official of Taehyung’s arrival, and just a few moments after, everyone is turning right where Taehyung is, excited exclamations filling the air. Namjoon and Seokjin move to take the two seats just behind Yoongi, giving Yoongi the possibility to properly see his groom.

Yoongi is wearing a white tuxedo, with a light orange blouse, that it’s of the same shade as Taehyung’s tuxedo and it’s the same for the orange rose he has inside the pocket on the top part of his blazer.

He looks stunning, with his messy slightly wavy hair, and colourful makeup. Taehyung thought that his heart was already beating quickly, but it was nothing to the way it starts pushing against Taehyung’s chest at the sigh of Yoongi, the man Taehyung loves so much.

The little orchestra at the side of the table of the state official starts playing the wedding march, and Taehyung and Jungwon start walking the ‘aisle’ slowly, step after step, Taehyung following the little boy.

So many people coo at Jungwon, softened by him, and Taehyung can’t blame them, Jungwon looks absolutely adorable in his small tuxedo and with his cute and chubby face.

He stoles the majority of attention, but Taehyung is actually happy about that, because the only thing he cares about right now is Yoongi, he can’t tear his eyes away from him, completely mesmerized by him and his adorable gummy smile, just like the first time Taehyung has seen him.

When they arrive at the end of the carpet, Jungwon smiles at his father, his dimple appearing on one of his cheeks, and runs away to go sit beside his mother, leaving Taehyung at the center of attention.

Taehyung smiles at Wheein, dressed up in a beautiful long and pink dress, her long light brown hair tight in a chignon. She looks beautiful, and Taehyung is so happy to have her there for his special day. Wheein winks at Taehyung, and smiles back at him, making Taehyung's heart swell with affection.

Taehyung moves his eyes away from Wheein and his son, to smile at his brother, who is sitting on the chair closest to where Taehyung will have to stand, the place that he occupies as Taehyung’s best man. It’s the second time that Hyunjin is his best man, but Taehyung couldn’t chose anyone else; his brother is his strength, his ally, his support, there’s no one that deserves that spot better than him, for all the things he has done for Taehyung during the last few years.

After exchanging a soft smile with his brother, Taehyung finally reaches Yoongi, the older man stretching a hand toward Taehyung that gladly takes it. Yoongi and Taehyung chuckle lightly when they realize that they are both shaking.

“Hello gorgeous,” Yoongi whispers to Taehyung, his eyes shining emotionally, making Taehyung smile flattered, his heart doing a backflip inside his chest.

“You look so good too,” Taehyung whispers back at him, maybe a little too flirty, because when they look at the state official, the man looks a bit embarrassed, the sight making Taehyung and Yoongi blush embarrassed too, but also quite amused.

The ceremony is short, but pretty emotional, mostly the speech the state official makes about love and marriage life, wishing the best of luck to the two men in front of him. Taehyung sheds a few tears during the speech, those words touching him deeply, encouraging him to do better this time and convincing him more that he really wants this, he really wants to marry Yoongi.

When the moment for the exchange of rings comes, Jungwon joins the two men and offers the heart shaped cushion with the rings on to the state official, who smiles thankful at Jungwon.

Both Yoongi and Taehyung smile softly at the boy too, proudly looking at him and softened at the way the little boy seems emotional too.

They exchange the rings with trembling hands and struggling to remember the proper words. It’s a comical moment, but emotional too, both of them are on the verge of tears every time they look at each other and promise to love the other for the rest of their lives.

“And now, you can kiss,” the state official tells them when the rings are safely around their fingers, to conclude the ceremony.

Taehyung cups Yoongi’s face and tenderly kisses him just when loud applause and cheers explode behind them. They exchange a long peck that they have to interrupt when the cheers become too loud and funny for them to be able to ignore them.

Their eyes meet while they pull away and, drunk of happiness, they both let themself go to a laugh.

Three years before

“I now pronounce you husband and husband,” the state official says, smiling content at Hyunjin and Jisung.

An applause erupts in the room, while the two grooms share the first kiss as husband and husband. Taehyung’s grandma, at his side, offers him a tissue, noticing how the boy is a bit emotional at the sight of his little brother getting married. He has grown up so much, Taehyung can’t believe he is already twentyseven; when Taehyung looks at him he still sees a little boy… his little brother, who still needs his protection. He will probably keep seeing him as such even when they will be even older!

Taehyung smiles grateful at his grandma, and when he sees that she has teary eyes too, he takes her arm under his, so they can cry together.

A few minutes later, the state official calls Taehyung to join him and the grooms to sign the marriage contract as Hyunjin’s best man. Yoongi is there with them too, as Jisung’s best man, Yoongi addressing a kind smile to Taehyung at the sight of his red and still teary eyes, and then softly squeezes one of his shoulders.

Those little gestures are enough to make Taehyung less emotional and more a flushered mess, his heart jumping happily inside his chest. Him and Yoongi haven't already had the occasion to exchange a few words since they arrived at the villa where the wedding is being held, so now that they seem to have the chance, Taehyung’s whole body buzzes with excitement at the idea of spending time with him.

Yesterday, when he got home, he realized he was left completely mesmerized by Yoongi, he couldn’t stop thinking about him, his husky voice, the way he is incredibly good with words and has a way of speaking that brings you so much peace. He couldn’t stop thinking about his smile… or the multiple types of smiles he seems to have: the shy one, the sly one, the soft one, and his adorable and beautiful gummy smile, that appears only when he is really really happy or amused by something. Taehyung is completely captivated by Yoongi’s gummy smile, it’s so incredibly precious.

Everything in Yoongi seems so precious and soft, and Taehyung loves the way he blushes every time they look too much at each other, how he looks tough but he is also really shy and tender in everything he does.

Taehyung is sure that he has a crush for him. He has no doubt at all, the reactions of his body, the fact that he couldn’t sleep because he kept thinking about Yoongi or he couldn’t stop smiling at the thought of seeing him again today… those are not things Taehyung would feel for everyone.

He has fallen for Yoongi since he has looked at him, and keeps falling for him the more the day goes on. After the ceremony, they all move to another room of the villa - a very big room - where all the tables for the receivement are. Taehyung is at the same table as Yoongi - to his surprise and delight -, and with some of his and Yoongi’s cousins. Jungwon is of course sitting with Taehyung, and he ends up sitting right in between Taehyung and Yoongi.

“Little bean, this is uncle Yoongi, he is uncle Jisung’s brother,” Taehyung explains to the kid, that since Yoongi has sat beside him, has kept glancing at him, seeming a bit afraid but also curious.

Yoongi addresses his soft smile at the kid. “Hello kiddo, it’s nice to meet you, your dad has talked to me so much about you.”

Jungwon looks delighted at the sound of those words, and he smiles happily at Taehyung before turning again toward Yoongi. “I’m Jungwon!” he introduces himself, a half toothless smile opening up on his chubby face, his dimple popping out.

“Hi Jungwon,” Yoongi laughs, softened by the adorable way Jungwon looks. “I really like your bow tie.”

Jungwon seems a little perplexed at that affirmation, so he turns toward Taehyung, frowning, making his dad chuckle. “He means your butterfly, baby,” Taehyung says, tapping at the pink bow tie around Jungwon’s neck.

Jungwon nods, now understanding, and Yoong’s words are all it takes for Jungwon to decide that he wants to be friends with him, and Taehyung understands it just by the way Jungwon’s dark brown eyes light up.

“Do you like butterflies too?” Jungwon asks Yoongi, all happy.

Yoongi chuckles at the way Jungwon referred to the bow tie. “Yes, I actually do.”

And after that, Jungwon starts excitedly talking with Yoongi and proudly showing him his collections of Digimons’ cards that he proudly collects.

“Digimon?! Isn’t it an old anime, do kids still watch it these days?” Yoongi asks Taehyung, curiously, while Jungwon takes the cards out of the little pocket of his blazer.

“I may have influenced him on that,” Taehyung shrugs, not really feeling apologetical. “I’m a huge Digimon fan,” he admits with a sly smile, making Yoongi smile amused.

“I love them too,” Yoongi says, making Taehyung feel so silly happy at that. It’s really nice that Yoongi hasn’t judged him at all and also that he is not a Pokémon person; Taehyung prefers Digimon one hundred percent.

The dinner passes by quickly, with Jungwon practically talking almost the whole time with Yoongi, asking him question and discussing about Digimon; Taehyung joins them from time to time, but he mostly finds himself enjoying watching Jungwon and Yoongi interact, loves the way Yoongi listens carefully to everything Jungwon says, and talks with him with the same enthusiasm as the kid. They seem to get along well, and that warms Taehyung’s heart, they seem both really happy and at ease.

Jungwon looks so fascinated by Yoongi, he keeps glancing at the dark haired man even when he is talking with Taehyung or someone else at the table; he is so amazed by Yoongi that he even ends up eating the vegetables in his plate that he usually eats only after putting on a tantrum; but today, it just takes him to see that Yoongi eats them to make him eat them too. Taehyung is completely shocked at that, but it also makes him smile and feel happy for some reason.

While waiting for the cake cutting, Jungwon is stolen from Taehyung by his grandparents, so Yoongi and Taehyung finally have the occasion to talk with each other alone.

“Your son is adorable,” Yoongi tells Taehyung with a soft smile on his face.

“I hope he is not annoying you, he is really chatty, mostly when he finds people that like the same things as him.”

“Not at all, he is really entertaining, I really like talking with him.”

“He seems to really like talking with you too, or just like you, he has even eaten his vegetables just because you were eating them!” Taehyung tells him, amused.

“Really?” Yoongi asks, surprised.

“Yes! You really made an impression on him,” Taehyung chuckles, softened at the thought.

Yoongi chuckles happily too. “I’m really happy about that, he has made a very good impression on me too.”

A part of Taehyung is screaming at him to tell Yoongi that he has made an impression on Taehyung too, but he manages to suppress that instinct, because he doesn’t really know how Yoongi will interpret it, or how he will react. It’s still not safe to let out his feelings like that.

Like the previous day, the conversation with Yoongi flows really smoothly and they both get the chance to know more about the other, like Taehyung finds out that Yoongi is the photographer of one of the photoshoots of Taehyung’s favourite singer, Taehyung filling Yoongi with curious questions as much as Jungwon has done before him. They also talk a lot about their brothers and how the both of them are so proud of how much they have grown up, and talk about how they have both been witnesses of the development of the two’s relationship.

“I was so sure that Jisung didn’t really hate him, I was sure he liked him deep down,” Yoongi tells Taehyung, while they sip on their wine glasses.

“For me it was the opposite, I was so sure he really hated Jisung, even if I couldn’t understand how someone could hate a person without even properly knowing them! I had never seen Hyunjin so much angry with someone!” Taehyung admits, still feeling a little bit like a stupid for not having noticed Hyunjin’s true emotions before.

The cut of the cake is absolutely Taehyung’s favourite moment during a wedding and both him and Jungwon get so excited at the sight of the big cake, making Yoongi laugh amused at them.

It’s after the cut of the cake and the opening of the whole buffet filled with so many sweets that it’s time to dance and for Taehyung’s speech. Taehyung started thinking about the idea of making a speech for his brother a few months ago, and he has been writing and rewriting it ever since, wanting it to be perfect.

When he finds himself standing up, facing Hyunjin and Jisung’s table, in front of all the guests, Taehyung feels a little nervous all of a sudden, but it’s the kind of nervousness that’s mostly positive; it doesn’t happen frequently to him to express his feelings in front of so many people, and he really hopes he has wrote down a nice speech that hopefully will make everyone emotional.

The fact that he can sense Yoongi’s eyes on him is the thing that makes him feel nervous the most, but he tries not to think about it, he needs to do this right.

“Hello everyone,” Taehyung waves at the crowd of people all around him, who greets him back in a funny chorus. “I’m Taehyung, Hyunjin’s older brother for the ones who don’t know me, and for this special day, I have prepared a little speech for my brother, to celebrate the arrival of this important moment for him.”

Hyunjin sends his brother a surprised look, seeming to not have expected that at all; that makes Taehyung smile, satisfied.

“My sweet Hyunjin, I rewrote this speech at least ten times, in the attempt to find the best words to express the emotions I’m feeling right now. You know that I’m a talker, and between the two of us, I’ve always been the more expansive one, the one that kept repeating you that I love you and that always wanted hugs and cuddles from you… so you must think that it has been easy for me to write down this speech, but in reality it hasn’t, because it’s difficult to try to really express the immense affection I feel for you. It’s hard to put into words how grateful I am to have you by my side, how grateful I am that someone up there has sent you to be my brother; I think I would have never asked for a better brother. We have always been close, and I’m really grateful and happy of that, because having you in some dark days has been the thing that has kept me going, that has reminded me that I’m not alone and that I’ll never be, because you are always there for me.

“We have shared so many moments together, twenty five long years living together, bickering for the silliest things, playing together, traveling and going out together, in the places that we both liked. We shared our daily life for a long time, and I have to admit that in a way I’m still not used to not have you around all the time, to not catch you dance in the living room, or hear you sing at the top of your lungs in the shower or join you on the couch when you are watching a movie. But, despite that, I’m truly so happy that you have finally found your way, Hyunjin. You have found a beautiful husband who understands your silences and accepts the fact that you don’t always like to be hugged or kissed,” Taehyung chuckles at that, and some of the guests follow him, Hyunjin and Jisung too.

Taehyung has still inside his mind the image of the annoyed face that Hyunjin does everytime Taehyung tries to hug him or fills his face with kisses.

“I’m proud of you for the choices you have made, and for the man you have become; you’ll always be my little brother to my eyes, and I will keep protecting you and hug you all of a sudden, and pinch your cheeks or buy things for you when we are not together, even when we’ll be so much older. So be prepared, because I have no intention to stop babying you or pampering you… because you are one of the most important people in my life, and I love you so much. You are my strength and I’m really lucky to have you.”

Taehyung makes the wrong decision to look at Hyunjin in that moment, while his brother is crying so much, the sight making Taehyung’s eyes fill with tears too, and he suddenly can’t see anything.

“Don’t cry, brother, or I’ll never manage to finish the speech,” Taehyung jokes, moving the letter he has in his hands in front of his eyes to dry the tears. Everyone laughs at that.

It takes Taehyung a few moments to finally be able to see again. “I wish the both of you to have a beautiful life together, full of kids that I know you desire so much. Take care of each other, and always remember that difficult times will come, but with patience and dialogue, your love can overcome any of those moments. I love the both of you, and I will always be here for you. So… congratulations boys, I hope you will live happily ever after.”

Taehyung concludes his speech, finally letting the tears go. He meets his brother halfway to hug him tightly, while they cry together like crybabies. Taehyung is proud to observe that he has made the majority of the people there cry too, and most importantly, he has made Yoongi emotional too! The black haired boy is wiping away his tears when Taehyung comes back to the table, and shyly tries to hide it, his attempts only making Taehyung chuckle, amused and pleased.

Today

“Can I have your attention for a moment?” Yoongi asks, hitting the side of his glass with his fork, making it jingle in a way that catches everyone’s attention; he is suddenly standing up from the table at the center of the room where he and Taehyung have just finished eating the side dishes.

Taehyung looks at his husband with curiosity, not having any idea of what he has in mind.

The room gets slowly quiet, all eyes on Yoongi; Taehyung is not surprised to see his husband’s cheeks turn of a light red and watch him swallow nervously while his eyes wander all over the room and realize that he is at the center of attention.

Taehyung takes his hand in a gesture of reassurance, caressing the back of it with his thumb. Yoongi turns toward Taehyung, and his uneasiness seems to placate a little; he smiles at Taehyung, his eyes filled with so much affection.

“I wanted to say a few words,” Yoongi says, moving his eyes toward the crowd once again. “First of all, I’m really happy to have all of you here to celebrate this special day for me and my Taehyung. It means a lot to us so, really, thank you and I really hope you are having a good time.”

A big applause follows his words, and someone even screams “We love you”, “We are happy to be here too” and “We are having a hella good time!” that makes both Yoongi and Taehyung laugh.

“Secondly, I wanted to use this moment to tell a few things to my husband.”

Taehyung looks at Yoongi, surprised. “Are you going to make a speech?” he asks. Yoongi hates to speak in public, hates that his shyness makes his hands sweat and his voice tremble during those occasions, so the fact that he wants to do that for him makes Taehyung feel already emotional.

Yoongi smiles at Taehyung. “Well, I’ll try to,” he sighs, Taehyung can already feel Yoongi’s hand shake a little, so he holds it tighter and addresses the other with an encouraging smile. “So please, forgive me if I will sound a little awkward,” Yoongi tells the crowd that, once again, cheers for him.

“You’ll do amazing Yoongi!” Seokjin screams from a few tables from theirs, making Yoongi chuckle and blush a little more.

“You are so cool!” it’s Namjoon that screams this time.

“Stop it,” Yoongi tells them, flustered, making everyone laugh. When the mood in the room returns to a more serious one, and after taking a few deep breaths, Yoongi speaks again, this time looking only at Taehyung. “My dearest Taehyung, I still don’t realize that we are really married, I have imagined this moment so many times that it still feels like a dream. A really beautiful dream.”

They smile at each other for a long moment, Taehyung feeling like that too, he still hasn’t realized, he has been feeling so euphoric since the end of the ceremony that he feels like he is walking on the clouds and everything around him is just so bright and happy, Taehyung’s mind feeling so light that it hasn’t been able to process everything that is happening.

“For the most of my life, I have never really thought about marriage, to my mother’s displeasure,” he sends a look at the woman, who laughs, followed by the other guests. “I never really cared too much about it, I have always been so focused on my job and… I honestly didn’t know if I would have ever found someone with whom to make that big step. Being shy and introverted is not easy, people always mistake me for someone that is too cold and unfriendly, and that has slowly made me fear that maybe the right person that could have loved me for my flaws and qualities didn’t exist. But then you have come into my life and there was something about you, something about your deep voice, the way you talk so enthusiastically and so much about the things you like, how gentle and friendly you are, how sometimes you act like a giant baby but you are completely unbothered by what others may think of you.

“There’s something special in you Taehyung, something that makes it easy for people to like you, to care for you. You are a kind and precious person, so altruistic, who loves to give love to everyone, to make them smile. And the way you love and take care of your kid is admirable and so sweet. You are one of a kind, and I started noticing it since the first day I have met you and I have completely fallen in love with you. I’m not the kind of person that believes in love at first sight, but meeting you has made me rethink of that.”

Taehyung smiles brightly at that, because what has made his and Yoongi relationship special since the beginning, has been the ease with which they have gotten along, the fact that it took just a look for them to know . Know that they were meant for each other. Differently from Yoongi, Taehyung has always been the romantic type, always believed in love at first sight, but he would have never imagined that he would have been so lucky to find the love of his life like that.

“I feel a connection with you that I have never felt with anyone, and I love the fact that you have never tried to change me, but you always do everything to remind me that there’s nothing wrong with me, never making me feel guilty if I don’t feel like talking or don’t wanna go out or being around people some days. I’m so deeply grateful to have such an understanding and caring person at my side. I admire and love you so much Taehyung, you are the most beautiful thing that ever happened to me and I promise that I will always cherish you, never take you for granted, and always love you, protect and support you, and be there for you and for your precious Jungwonie too.

“I love you and I’m so looking forward to beginning our married life together,” Yoongi concludes his speech, that he has delivered way better than what he himself thought. His voice has sounded shaky just at the beginning, but then he has gained confidence and has kept looking at Taehyung like he was the only person in the room, and that has probably helped him. He got emotional but kept his tears at bay… differently from Taehyung that today just can’t help crying so much. Weddings make him become a crybaby, his weddings way more than others!

Taehyung stands up and kisses his husband passionately, the kiss tasting salty due to the tears. “I love you,” he tells Yoongi when they pull away, both their cheeks wet with happy tears. “I love you,” Taehyung repeats, and keeps repeating a few more times, kissing Yoongi’s tears and hugging him tight, his heart feeling so full of love that Taehyung fears it is going to explode.

The receivement goes on, they cut the three-story cake, with two groom statues on the top, right at the center of a circle made of pieces of strawberries; Yoongi has let Taehyung pick the flavor of the cake since he isn’t a great sweets lover, so Taehyung has taken the change to ask for the cake to be with cream and strawberries, his favourite. There’s nothing Taehyung wouldn’t do for some strawberries or something strawberry flavoured.

They cut the cake together and Taehyung is over the moon when the waiter offers him the first slice of it. Yoongi takes the one offered to him by the waiter just to give it to Taehyung after he has finished his first, making Taehyung incredibly happy. It’s his wedding day, he can totally eat all the cake he wants, it’s only fair.

It’s late afternoon when they all move to another room of the hotel, when there is plenty of space for them to dance, and where there is the bar where everyone can drink whatever they want. It takes a few songs for the first people to take courage and start dancing. Slowly, more and more people join them, Wheein and Jungwon among them, the kid so happy to finally do something fun.

Taehyung dances with a lot of people that night, even with his grandma who, like Jungwon, was waiting for that moment; Taehyung is still amazed at how she is still so full of energy despite having more than eighty years, he absolutely wishes to arrive at her same age with the same strength and desire to still do so many things.

He dances with his friends, Jimin and Hoseok pulling him in an awkward three people dance, that is more just them being chaotic and silly than real dancing. He dances with his relatives, with his child, and even with Yoongi’s mom! Who sweetly tells Taehyung how she considers him already like another child, just like Hyunjin, and that is so glad that Yoongi has found him.

Needless to say, they both end up shedding a few tears; Taehyung hugs the woman tightly, feeling so grateful. He can totally see why Jisung and Yoongi have grown up so well and are two beautiful people, their mother is so sweet and she likes having fun so much.

Taehyung dances with Wheein too, who despite everything, remains one of his closest friends and for whom Taehyung will always care so much. Without the marriage tightening them together, their relationship has gotten better and better, just like it was when they were younger, when they first met, but without being in love with each other.

“I see you so much happier these days Taehyung, and it really makes me happy in return,” Wheein tells Taehyung while the boy makes her turn on herself in time with the upbeat music. “Yoongi is so in love with you, and I’m actually really glad that you have found someone that looks at you the way he does, like you are his sun.”

“It’s the same for me, I feel like I’m always gravitating around him, he is… my polar star if we want to keep speaking with astronomical metaphors,” Taehyung says, making Wheein laugh. “I see you much happier too, Wheein.”

“I am,” she reassures him. “I’m slowly building up my life again, brick after brick… this time following only my heart.”

“That’s the right way,” he winks at her.

They keep dancing, Taehyung having fun making her spin and doing casquets, loving to see her smile and laugh loudly.

When a slow song finally starts playing from the speakers, their family and friends encourage the grooms to do their first slow dance as husband and husband. Seeing Yoongi offering one of his hands to him, encouraging Taehyung to take it, sends Taehyung a little back in time, at the first time they have slow danced together.

Three years before

Taehyung watches, with a soft smile on his face, as the couples start to walk toward the center of the ‘dancefloor’, when one of Ed Sheehan’s songs starts playing. Jisung and Hyunjin are of course among them, lost in each other’s eyes; they are in their little bubble, have completely forgotten about the others around them. Taehyung sighs while looking at them and observing how much in love they are. They are so cute.

Taehyung is so lost in his contemplation of the grooms, swinging slowly on his chair at the slow rhythm of the song, while melancholically reflecting on how nice it is to be in love, what a wholesome feeling is to hold your loved one in between your arms, hold them tight and realize how much you care about them and how much they make you happy; when his attention is suddenly catched by a figure approaching him.

Taehyung’s heart jumps happily inside his chest, when their eyes meet; but the smile that automatically has opened on Taehyung’s lips falters a bit when he sees how hesitant Yoongi looks, almost like he is afraid of something.

Yoongi bites at his bottom lip, his cheeks turning a light pink, his eyes moving from Taehyung’s eyes to the floor and vice versa. Taehyung is almost asking if there’s something wrong, worried, but Yoongi speaks before him; the black haired man stretches a hand toward Taehyung, his eyes shyly meeting Taehyung’s once again.

“Can I have this dance?” Yoongi asks him, lips curving in a small smile.

Taehyung is surprised by the sudden invitation, totally not expecting it, mostly since Yoongi has told him before that he doesn’t really like to dance or do anything that can put him under a spotlight.

“I’m really terrible at dancing,” he told Taehyung while chuckling.

So now the fact that he is offering Taehyung to dance is incredibly flattering, and makes Taehyung’s heart completely melt under that sweet gesture.

A boxy grin appears on Taehyung’s lips. “Of course!” He says, enthusiastic, making Yoongi smile brightly and happily too.

Taehyung takes Yoongi's hand and lets the older man guide him toward the dance floor.

“I apologize in advance if I’ll stomp on your feet,” Yoongi tells him apologetically.

Taehyung chuckles. “Don’t worry about that.”

It's a bit awkward at the beginning. It's pretty clear that Yoongi is not at ease in this situation, and that only makes Taehyung appreciate his effort more; their close proximity probably isn't helping the both of them to feel less tense. But slowly, once they start getting used to the rhythm and to the way their bodies are reacting at those new touches, Taehyung feels Yoongi's body start relaxing; he looks even less worried too, less worried about how to move his feet and manages even to smile at Taehyung and meet his eyes.

Taehyung can't help but wonder why Yoongi has asked him to dance with him. Does Yoongi feel the same way Taehyung does? The only thought makes Taehyung's smile grow wider. Yesterday, he told Taehyung he wanted to get to know him better too, and today they spent the whole receivement together… that could mean that Yoongi might feel the same attraction Taehyung feels toward him, or he just wants to be his friend.

But… does someone that just wants to be your friend look at you so intensely while you start slow dancing? Would a friend invite you to dance to a romantic song with the other couples all around you? Would a friend touch your neck so tenderly, just like Yoongi is doing? His fingertips softly playing with the baby hair on Taehyung’s nape.

Taehyung has his hands on Yoongi’s lower back, slightly pushing the man’s body closer to his.

They are too close… two friends wouldn't be this close, right?!

Taehyung's skin tingles where Yoongi's fingers are touching it, and Taehyung’s heart is completely going crazy, their faces are so close that Taehyung could just lean his head a little for their noses to touch. He is getting lost inside Yoongi's feline eyes, the more he looks at him, the more he feels like he is falling for him, and feeling more alive than ever.

They keep dancing like that, slowly falling in their own bubble too, while Ed Sheehan sings about loving someone until you are old and how people fall in love in different ways, sometimes even without realizing right away. The way Taehyung is falling in love with Yoongi is indeed mysterious, the most unpredictable thing. And there's something right now, in the way Yoongi is looking at Taehyung silently, his eyes wandering on every inch of Taehyung's face like he is trying to memorize every single detail, while smiling so softly, seeming so captured by him, that Taehyung starts to really think that he is not the only one that is falling for the other.

He can feel it. He doesn't know if he is right. But he thinks he is. So he holds Yoongi a little bit closer, and Yoongi lets him do it, the tips of their noses now touching. Taehyung nudges his nose against Yoongi, his heart galloping inside his chest, Taehyung fearing that he might be mistaking everything.

But Yoongi reciprocates the gesture, nuzzling his nose against Taehyung's, cheeks so red, but eyes filled with so many emotions, so many stars.

They smile at each other, and suddenly, they are changing their position, Yoongi cautiously pressing the side of his head against Taehyung's shoulder, Taehyung completely wrapping his arms around Yoongi's narrow hips, holding him in between his arms, his cheek pressed against the top of Yoongi’s head.

Taehyung’s cheeks hurt for how much he is smiling, but he doesn't care, because it feels amazing to have Yoongi in between his arms, he feels happy, at peace, and it's so strange, because he has met him only yesterday! But Taehyung can't help feeling like this for him, feeling these strong emotions. He is not scared by them… maybe he should, but he isn't. He is happy and curious, and wants to keep holding Yoongi like that for a long time.

Maybe we found love right where we are .

Ed sings, and Taehyung thinks that he is totally right, and that that phrase is weirdly fitting the situation.

“Your heart is beating so loudly,” Yoongi tells Taehyung, smiling.

Taehyung blushes, a bit embarrassed, but has the courage to say: “it has been for a while now.”

“Perfect. Then mine is not the only one that is going crazy.”

🍰

The receivement comes to its end, people start to go back home, and Taehyung realizes that he doesn't really want to say goodbye to Yoongi; it makes him a little sad, the thought that he doesn't know when they will see each other again, and that their two days to be together are already over.

Jungwon seems to be as sad as Taehyung as he asks Yoongi with a pout: “Will we see each other again?”

His son has asked Yoongi exactly what Taehyung was thinking too, so Yoongi finds himself being stared at by the two Kims.

Yoongi looks at Taehyung for a moment, seeming hesitant, before returning to look at Jungwon. “Uhm… yeah, if you and your dad want to,” he looks at Taehyung again, shyly. “I would love to.”

Jungwkon exults in a way so cute that both Yoongi and Taehyung can't help but laugh, softened.

“Then I can give you my number so we… we can keep in touch,” Taehyung proposes, cautious.

His heart almost explodes from happiness when Yoongi happily agrees. Taehyung has never taken his phone from his pocket so quickly.

They exchange their phone numbers and if Taehyung memorizes Yoongi’s numbers under the name ‘Yoongi <3’, nobody will know.

Taehyung watches Yoongi and Jungwon exchange a long hug, the little boy listing with emphasis all the things they can do together, to which Yoongi answers with the same enthusiasm.

Feeling like he wants to spend a few more minutes in Yoongi's company and wanting to talk with him alone one last time, Taehyung offers to walk Yoongi to his car.

The walk to Yoongi's car is strangely quiet, but not because they feel awkward, but only because it makes the both of them feel sad that it is time to say goodbye. Taehyung is trying hard to find the perfect words to say to Yoongi, to make him understand how these two days have been important for him, how he has enjoyed staying with him. He doesn't want just to say a simple goodbye, it wouldn't feel right.

So, when Yoongi stops in front of a black and nice sports car - that makes Taehyung whistle in appreciation, and Yoongi chuckle embarrassed -, Taehyung finally finds the courage and the words to say what he has in his heart.

“I’m really glad to have spent these two days in your company, Yoongi, it has been really nice to meet you.”

“I’m glad too and… I was serious when I told Jungwon that I would love to see the both of you again… mostly you,” the last two words are almost a whisper. “Not that I don't like Jungwon and I don't want him to be with us!” He adds, suddenly scared he might have offended Taehyung; but he hasn't, his shyness actually amuses and softens Taehyung. “But… I… I would really like to go out with you alone like… like for…”

“A date?” Taehyung asks, pleasantly surprised.

Yoongi smiles, blushing. “Yes.”

“I would really like that,” they share a smile, both excited. “Why don’t we go to that photographic exhibition that you have talked to me about?” Taehyung proposes, hopeful.

Yoongi’s face actually lights up at that. “That would be great!”

“We can talk tomorrow so we can arrange.”

“That sounds good.”

Taehyung feels so euphoric that he feels like jumping from happiness.

“Then I’ll text you tomorrow,” Yoongi tells him, and Taehyung already looks forward to that; he knows that he will spend tomorrow looking at his phone non stop. He wonders if he will be able to even sleep tonight since he is already feeling so excited.

“I’ll look forward to it,” Taehyung giggles, happy, and in his euphoric state, without really thinking about it, he moves his face closer to Yoongi’s and pecks one of his cheeks. “Goodnight Yoongi,” he wishes him.

Right when Taehyung is pulling away, despite being left taken aback by Taehyung’s sudden gesture, Yoongi stops Taehyung from pulling away too much, cupping his face and pulling it closer to his again, this time to make their lips meet.

Taehyung is the one taken aback right now, eyes wide open in shock, but just for a moment, then he gets completely overwhelmed by the powerful feelings that are shaking his insides; he finally closes his eyes and lets himself go.

The kiss lasts only a few instants, but they are enough to make Taehyung's mind go completely blank; for a moment he can’t think about anything, the sensation of Yoongi's warm lips still lingering on his own lips.

Taehyung feels weightless, completely over the moon.

They kiss again, this time it's Taehyung the one that initiates it, and this time it lasts a little longer, it's less shy, their lips slowly moving against each other.

It feels amazing, and Taehyung thinks that he would honestly keep kissing Yoongi for the rest of the night. Unfortunately they can't, but seeing Yoongi's gummy smile after the kiss makes the thought that they have to separate less hard.

They are both giggling, drunk with love, incredulous of what has just happened but so incredibly happy.

“Goodnight Taehyung,” Yoongi wishes him, squeezing one of his hands, and looking at him with eyes full of love.

That would have been the first of so many other times Yoongi would have wished him goodnight.

Today

“When did you get so good at dancing?” Taehyung asks Yoongi while the black haired man keeps guiding him in their slow dance, with a confidence and experience that Taehyung didn't know he had, mostly when it comes to dancing.

Yoongi smiles, seeming satisfied that Taehyung has noticed that. “I have taken classes, I wanted to surprise you.”

“You surely did,” Taehyung chuckles, while Yoongi lets him spin on himself once again.

“I wanted to be a good dancer for our wedding,” Yoongi adds, making Taehyung coo, softened by the gesture. He can imagine how hard it must have been for Yoongi to go against his shyness and his dislike for dancing to make that decision. And only for Taehyung.

“Thank you, love, this is really sweet,” Taehyung kisses one of his cheeks. “Maybe I could join you in your dance classes if you want to,” he proposes, feeling excited at the idea of doing that with his husband; it can be a fun activity to do together.

“Of course I want you to!” Yoongi seems to share the same excitement. “Also, Mrs Lee is kind of a fan of your book reviews, and she always asks me about you.”

“Seriously?!” Taehyung smiles pleased. “Then I should totally come!”

The song ends, but not their dancing. Yoongi seems to have really got so much confidence! He keeps dancing and dancing with Taehyung for a long time, sometimes joined by their friends or relatives, sometimes alone again, sometimes again with their little boy.

They drink a lot too in the meantime, and in between a dance, a joke, a laugh and another piece of the cake, their wedding comes to its end.

Taehyung feels happy but drained out by all the emotions he has felt today so, when after saying goodbye to everyone he and Yoongi go to their room in the hotel, the first thing that Taehyung does is lay on the bed, exhausted.

Tonight, Jungwon will stay in Taehyung’s parents’ room, he will sleep with them so that Yoongi and Taehyung can have a little privacy and enjoy their first night as husband and husband. So, despite being tired, Taehyung knows that the day isn't over, the celebration isn't over and he is really looking forward to the way they are gonna end that day.

Yoongi imitates him, but he lays on his side, facing his husband, his eyes tender and affectionate. “Are you tired, baby?”

Taehyung turns his face toward Yoongi, and with a sly smile he answers: “Not yet.”

And that's all it takes as a permission for Yoongi to move a little closer to his husband, to kiss him slowly but with so much passion, tongues moving against one another, tenderly. Yoongi then proceeds to start unbuttoning Taehyung's blouse, kissing every inch of the skin he slowly exposes.

He helps Taehyung out of his blazer and blouse, while they keep sharing sloppy kisses.

They slowly undress themselves, until there's only soft skin underneath their fingers, Yoongi's pale skin so delicate and warm and so familiar to Taehyung, like the soft touch of Yoongi's hands and lips on his skin.

Taehyung's skin shivers with want, with how much he loves to feel like that, feel Yoongi's hands explore, love and caress every inch of his body, knowingly perfectly which are the most sensitive spots that can make Taehyung lose his mind. He loves feeling Yoongi’s body against his, feeling his warm breath on his skin, and hearing him whisper sweet words to him that make Taehyung smile.

He loves feeling their bodies connected, and the way Yoongi loses himself to the pleasure, how he exposes his neck when a particular thrust inside Taehyung feels particularly good. Taehyung likes kissing the side of his neck, inhaling his soft scent and the slight scent of sweat on him.

He likes that every time they make love it feels special, it feels like there's nothing else that matters in the world. It feels beautiful; it is messy, wet, and they always end up being a mess of incoherent words and moans, too out of breath even to keep kissing. But it is still beautiful, feeling so close to the man he loves, feeling content and protected and loved.

Tonight it feels particularly good due to the promise of the two of them to be forever together, for the fact that when they interlock their fingers above Taehyung's head, Yoongi's thrusts  becoming more rapid, Taehyung can perfectly feel the cold ring around Yoongi's ring finger press against the skin of his fingers, and it's a beautiful reminder of the promise they have made today.

They stay close to each other after, in a messy tangle of limbs, both trying to catch their breaths and go down from their high. Taehyung plays with Yoongi's locks, wrapping them around his finger repetitively, while Yoongi has his eyes closed, and hums content from time to time, reminding Taehyung so much of a cat purring.

The thought makes Taehyung giggle, catching Yoongi's attention.

“What?” The older man asks, his eyes still closed.

“Nothing, I was just thinking that you are so cute,” Taehyung answers, keeping caressing and playing with Yoongi's hair. He laughs again when a shy smile appears on Yoongi's lips. “My cute, small, kitty-like husband.”

Yoongi opens his eyes, eyebrows frowning, displeased. “I think I have made a terrible mistake today, I have to tell the state official that I have changed my mind, I don't want to be married anymore,” he jokes, trying to get off the bed, but Taehyung keeps him still while laughing and protesting.

“I’m sorry, you are stuck with me now, and with my annoying habit of calling you small, and cute, and cat,” Taehyung says, hugging Yoongi closer to him.

Yoongi huffs. “Can't you call me… I don't know, lion, strong and hot?!”

“But then It wouldn't be you, Yoongi,” Taehyung teases him, earning a dirty look from Yoongi, that only amuses Taehyung more. “You are the hottest man alive,” Taehyung tells him to make the other forgive him, kissing affectionately one of his cheeks.

“That’s better,” Yoongi smiles, satisfied.

They just keep silently hugging each other for a while, until Yoongi asks him: “Have you enjoyed the ceremony?”

Taehyung nods multiple times. “A lot, everything has been absolutely perfect, and our families and friends seem to have had a good time too, so… I am really really content.”

“I’m glad to hear that,” Yoongi kisses Taehyung's nose, tenderly.

“I can't wait to see the photos! I will probably hang them all over the house!” Taehyung says enthusiastically.

“That’s fine by me.”

“And what about you, how has our wedding been?”

“I have been a nervous wreck for a good part of it, but I would say that it has been perfect too, a day I will never forget, mostly because I’m finally your husband, and there's nothing I desire to be the most. Yours.” The way Yoongi is looking at him is so tender that Taehyung can't help but kiss him, his heart exploding with love.

“You are mine as I’m yours. Completely and deeply yours,” Taehyung says, and he has never been more sure of anything else than how he is on this.

Yoongi kisses him again, this time more passionately, moved by the endless love that they feel inside their hearts. Things get heated again after that, and they both know that the second round will completely drain them of any remaining energy, but it's okay, it's their wedding night, they need to properly celebrate that too.
