Snowed In(love) | Chenji

Summary:

Chenle shook out of a trance when he heard his phone go off. Jisung's phone went off too and when they checked it had been an alert to stay off the road as the snow was too high to drive on and it was too cold. It was too late to send out snowplows plus the snow kept on coming.

They were snowed in.

or

Jisung and Chenle are snowed in so they spend the night together.

Work Text:

Frost snipped at the window as Chenle sat in the living room of his best friend Jisung. They sat shoulder to shoulder wrapped up in a giant blanket, as they binged what felt like a million awfully written movies. It was mid-January and their respective moms had gone to a friends house for the day. Chenle’s mom had dropped him off at Jisung's house before she hopped in the car with Jisung’s mom and left.

“Okay, this was definitely the worst one,” Chenle laughed. Mostly in pain. The acting of the main character was awful and the plot -if you could even call it that- was all over the place.

“1 out of 5 Michelin stars,” Jisung jokes

“This isn’t a restaurant, Jisung. And one star would intal it's actually good, which it isn't,” Chenle replied, one eyebrow raised in a matter-of-fact tone. But his face softened to a smile because he was Jisung and Jisung always made his smile.

Since they met at the beginning of freshman year Chenle has had a crush on him. They are seniors now and his crush never faltered like he thought it would, figures. So as he sat there looking at Jisung all he could do was smile.

Chenle shook out of a trance when he heard his phone go off. Jisung's phone went off too and when they checked it had been an alert to stay off the road as the snow was too high to drive on and it was too cold. It was too late to send out snowplows plus the snow kept on coming.

They were snowed in.

It didn’t take long for both of their moms to call. 1 minute to be exact.

“Okay okay, mom,” Jisung replied absentmindedly. His mom was rambling, worried about her children and the boy who was always at their house. Chenle did spend a lot of time at Jisung’s house, no doubt.

“Let Chenle sleep in Mark’s old room since he’s in university. You said he takes up a lot of space when he sleeps right?” Jisung’s mom was on speakerphone so Chenle could hear as well, jisung laughed nervously and convinced his mom she had heard wrong. And after many rounds of ‘I love you’s’ (mostly from Jisung’s mom) they hung up.

Chenle smacked jisung on the arm as they made their way upstairs, “take up too much space?!”

“Ow, chenle!”

Chenle had already been in Jisung’s room many, many times but this time felt different. It was past 1 am and he would probably be home by now in his bed but he was here, snowed in, with Jisung of all people.

“Do you wanna take a shower?” Jisung asked, turning on the light in his room. His room was a light blue and he had posters and pictures on his walls.

“Are you saying I smell, Jisung Park?” He raised an eyebrow.

“What, No. Not because you smell bad. You don’t. Just wanna make sure you're comfy.”

“Well, then sure,” Chenle smiled.

He headed to Jisung’s dresser and pulled out a t-shirt. It was his favourite, a t-shirt for a band they both knew they didn’t listen to. Chenle was quite comfortable with Jisung’s clothes, he always stole his sweaters and shirts when he was at his house saying they were much comfier than his. And Jisung didn’t mind, he thought Chenle looked adorable in his clothes. Jisung found Chenle a pair of his basketball shorts and handed it to him.

In the bathroom, Jisung handed chenle a new toothbrush. He hoped in the shower washing away all the sweat, tears and pain of the movies they watched. Why were they so bad? He hopped out of the shower and slipped into Jisung’s t-shirt. Oversized just how he liked it. Don’t worry he put on the shorts as well.

Returning to Jisung’s room he didn’t think to knock before entering. Big mistake. Jisung was naked with only a towel around his waist preparing for his shower.

“Shit, sorry” Chenle squeaked. His stomach did that weird thing where it felt like there were butterflies in there. “I should’ve knocked,” he said as he closed the door, cursing at himself internally. Now Jisung thinks he’s a pervert. Great.

“It’s fine, I forgot you were here for a second” Jisung chuckles as he opens the door heading to the bathroom room. Has his body always been that… that wow. The answer was yes. Well since the beginning of junior year anyways. He had started working out his already nice body and now he practically had a six-pack and killer arms. Damn.

Chenle realized he had forgotten to brush his teeth so when Jisung was done in the shower he joined him in the bathroom. Still no shirt. He screamed Internally. As they brushed their teeth they made faces at each other in the mirror. They laughed as they bumped shoulders trying to make the othis lose balance.

They finished brushing their teeth and Chenle washed the area around his mouth, then turned to show Jisung the final product. Jisung's hand moved to the corner of Chenle’s mouth where the white paste still remained. Jisung wiped away the paste with his Thumb, discarding it on the small towel around his neck. Chenle hadn’t realized he’d been holding his breath till Jisung’s hand fell back to his side. “Thanks.” he mumbled, hoping Jisung hadn’t noticed the way he reacted to his touch.

They shuffle back into Jisung’s room where he finally puts on a shirt. Sadly? Mixed reaction I guess. Bye-bye beautiful abs. Hello, gray shorts and a white tee. I am gonna die tonight, Chenle thought to himself.

Now on Jisung’s bed, they lay on their sides. Lights off, lamp on. A laptop in between them playing a movie they both had already watched. They both ended up on their phones as a result, laughing at the stupid memes displayed on their screen, and showing them to each other. Jisung removed the laptop from between them and Chenle’s head found its way to Jisung’s chest. He mumbled how he would take up less space this way. Chenle's heart sped up a little as Jisung's hand lazily traced lines and swirls on his back and as he felt Jisung’s chest vibrate every time he laughed. He could stay like this forever.

As they slowly drifted from their phones to a conversation about whatever, Chenle’s eyes also drifted close. The last thing he remembered was Jisung reaching to turn off his lamp and then pulling him in close.

Chenle wakes up to a ringing sound. He realized his legs were tangled with Jisung’s, it happened during the middle of the night while they were sleeping but he still felt embarrassed about it. Not to mention his head that remained on his chest barely moving an inch through the night. He wondered how it felt for Jisung, having Chenle’s head on his chest. They laid like this many times before but never spent the night in this position and with their limbs all tangled. He snapped back to reality when he heard Jisung’s mom call his name.

“Go to Mark’s room and put Chenle on. His mom’s phone died and she wants to talk to him.” Jisung cursed under his breath and Chenle let out a tired chuckle, eyes barely open. Chenle covered his mouth so Jisung’s mom couldn’t hear him and start piecing things together.

Jisung muted the call waited a couple of seconds then:

“Chenle, are you awake? Your mom wants to talk to you.” Jisung said, acting like he had gotten up and gone to his Brother’s room.

“Good morning mom. How are you?” Chenle said tiredly. Mornings were definitely not his thing.

“Great sweetie, just wanted to see if you slept well”

“I did.” really good he thought.

“That’s great, and it looks like the snow has slowed and they have snow blows on the road so we should be able to get back on the road in a little.” his mom said excited, way too excited for...11 in the morning. Was it really 11? It felt like 6 am? With that, they exchanged a couple more words then hung up.

Chenle sat up feeling groggy, sleep threatening to pull his back onto Jisung’s chest. Yawning they both got up and headed to the washroom, first going in separately to use the toilet, then they shared the space to brush their teeth and wash the sleep from their faces. Chenle stared at Jisung through the mirror, had he always looked this handsome? And in the morning too, chenle thought he looked like a wreck right now.

Chenle hopped on the counter as he finished brushing his teeth looking back at the mirror after he washed his face to make sure he had no toothpaste on it. He did not want a repeat of yesterday’s event. It was way too early in the morning for his heart to be acting up.

“Nothing on my face this time” he smiled at Jisung confidently.

“Oh ya?” Jisung challenged stepping in between his legs and leaning forward.

“Yup.” he managed, a little less confident than before. He could practically smell his minty breath.

Jisung’s hands were on either side of Chenle, trapping him there. I guess he could move if he wanted to. He didn't. “You sure,” jisung said, his voice barely above a whisper as he moved closer.

“Yes...” Chenle said with more breath than words. Jisung was moving closer and Chenle’s voice was becoming non-existent.

Jisung stopped short and examined Chenle’s face. Jisungs eyes travelled from Chenle’s eyes to his lips and slowly back up to Chenle’s eyes asking a question without using words. Chenle answered with his eyes following the same routine as Jisungs.

Jisung pressed his lips to Chenle’s, softly. Chenle’s hands moved to the back of his neck pulling him in closer, deepening the kiss. Jisung’s hands moved to Chenle’s waist, sliding Chenle closer to his own body, wanting to close space between the two of them. Their tongues danced with each other, tasted each other. Minty. They kissed and kissed till their breath was no more. They pulled away and Jisung rested his head on Chenle’s shoulder laughing not because it was funny but because he was on a high. Chenle’s fingers combed through Jisung’s hair as he smiled to no one but himself; he was ecstatic. He had wanted to kiss him forever. His lips were just as soft and amazing as he imagined.

“Wow, I, ha.” Were the only words Jisung could form, his brain scrambled.

“Yeah…” not many words, just like before.

“We should probably talk about this, but how about breakfast first?” Jisung asked, looking up to meet his eyes.

“Yes, please,” Chenle said, thankful for a distraction so he could string together some sort of thought.
