Work Text:
There was nothing better than to stare at her world. Dwyn leaned on her hand, watching the thread go in and out of the fabric, Ailre’s large hands always looked so delicate when they were sewing. She felt Viola jump on her desk, nestling on her 'work' bed.
“Done.” Ailre smiled and gave it to her. “I think this one works better.”
Dwyn picked it from their hand and examined the treads, feeling the texture on all sides. “I think we can try to hide this seam better. It might give them allergies. But it looks perfect.”
“Hum. Do you think we'll need haute couture seams for the diapers?” They arched an eyebrow.
“But of course.” She tapped their nose. “Our kids need to be the most fashionable babies in history.”
“Hum, you want to sell each diaper for a hundred pounds?”
Dwyn leaned, her bangs and hair falling and framing her face. “If we make it with gold thread we can sell them for at least two hundred.” She joked.
They laughed and kissed her, taking the diaper from her hands. “Now let me refine our goose.” They caressed her belly. “Love you too.” They kissed the babies, and went back to their desk.
Dwyn smiled, placing her own hand on her stomach, rubbing it gently.
“You're going to spill the beans.” She said, picking the book she kept the ultrasounds, checking for the last one.
“What?” Ail looked over their shoulder. “No, we're going to tell them after our wedding. No?”
“That's the idea.” Viola bumped her hand, asking for pets. “But I have a strong feeling you’re going to tell them before. Isn’t that right, sweetie?” Dwyn asked, scratching her cat’s neck, she chirped in agreement.
“Huh. And what makes you say that?” They questioned, turning on the sewing machine.
“I know you.” Dwyn went behind them and placed both hands on their shoulders. “I'm certain.” She whispered behind their ear, making them flinch, ticklish.
“Do you wanna bet?” Playful green eyes like a summer field.
She tilted her head and answered without thinking. “Yes.”
Ailre gave a nervous laugh. “Should I be scared?”
“Well, you tell me.” She leaned on their desk.
“What do you want?” They went back to the work at hand.
She pretended to think for a couple of seconds. “Hum… remember the ambrosia pudding your mom made for us?”
“Yeah. Well, I can make the salad nex-wait, that my mom made?” They frowned.
“You know, the pudding.”
“I don't know how to make the pudding.” They stared at her, confused.
“You can learn, can't you?” She kissed them before going back to her desk.
“Then I want you to cosplay with me!” They said. “If I win.”
“Alright.” She replied without hesitation.
“That confidence frightens me.” They muttered, making her laugh.

Dwyn didn't even let Logan say a word, the moment he opened the apartment's door for her she immediately went: “Tell me everything. ”
His cheeks flushed, he averted his eyes, chuckling nervously. She grabbed him by the hand and dragged them to the sofa near the entrance. “I already told you everything.”
“No no no, by text is one thing. I want to listen.”
Log hid his face in his hands. “I can't.”
“Oh c'mon!” She playfully shook his shoulder. “I have to know if they are treating my grandson right!”
That made him go into a laughing fit, curling on himself as he laughed like a hyena.
“That's what you get for calling me grandma.” She placed both hands on her knees. “Now, spill the tea.”
Logan straightened up, taking a deep breath, his face was almost as red as Dwyn's hair.
“He's so sweet . We walked together from Uni to the seven seas and...” He proceeded to tell everything about their date with heart eyes, flushed cheeks and just a cheesy expression she hadn't seen in years.
Her heart sang at the sight. Now she just needed to make sure that boy wasn't going to play with Logan's heart.
No one dared to play with her world and leave without a scratch.

Nanna visited a couple days after the baby shower, carrying a beautiful box with an envelope with the start of a college fund for the unborn babies and money for the disposable diapers.
“Thank you.” Dwyn said after reading the contents, and sat on the couch to open the box, with her mum's tender eyes observing her. “Oh my god.” Her mouth fell with the sight, the soft blanket had a beautiful pattern of poppies and ladybugs, Dwyn picked it with utmost care.
“It was the blanket we used when you came home.” Nanna touched the fabric with love. “And you stuck with it for years.”
Dwyn hugged her mum before she could say another word, Angelica retributed, careful with the twins between them.
They were each other's world too, and couldn't change that.

Dwyn traced Felix's profile, their nose was so tiny that a little boop seemed that it would hurt them. She looked up, seeing Logan play with Noah and Ailre there with their arm around his shoulder giving tips on how to handle the newborns as they pet Cosmos with their free hand. Nanna entered the living room carrying a tray with snacks and extended her arms to pick her great granddaughter.
Dwyn smiled, handing Felix enveloped in the ladybug blanket. Almost immediately Viola took her place, making biscuits on her lap before laying down.
A perfect picture of her worlds.

She replied to Nadia with all the calm in the world before resting her chin on their shoulder.
“I want my pudding as a wedding gift.”
