Work Text:
Pit. pat. Pit, pat. The sound of little raindrops hitting the windshield of the car pulled you out of your daydream. Once your eyes began focusing, you remembered where you were; the small, yet cozy passenger seat of your boyfriend’s car. The heat was on to keep you warm, Seungcheol refusing to turn it off after you admitted to being cold some time ago. The radio was playing softly in the background, some ballad song that he had heard when he was out with his band mates. You were slightly aware of the hand engulfing yours on the center console of the vehicle, feeling the soft movement of Seungcheol’s thumb rubbing back and forth on your hand.
Pulling away from your gaze on the grey sky, you turned to focus on the side profile of your boyfriend. Your eyes subconsciously admired his rose red lips and his long eyelashes. You swore that he got more and more handsome each and every time you looked at him. As you stared at admired him from your seat, your ears were suddenly blessed with the sound of his laugh. The sound was soothing, the boyish charm a stark contrast from his manly physique, but you loved it anyway.
Softening his laugh, Seungcheol looked over at you and you glanced up to look back at him. His hair was swept to the side, and his eyes seemed to hold galaxies.
“Why were you just staring at me?” he quietly giggles again, his eyes flickering from focusing on the road to looking back at you.
“It’s kind of embarrassing…” you scratched the back of your head and turned away from his face to look at the window, your eyes following the little droplets of water as they raced down the glass.
“Awe, come on honey, tell me!” he glanced at you once again, before moving his head to face the road.
“I just…” you trailed off.
“Just what?”
“I like your laugh…” You tried hiding your face in your hands, but ultimately pulled the neckline of your large hoodie up to cover your face.
Seungcheol began giggling again and you continued to hide your face.
“That’s adorable, honey!”
You finally released the neckline of your hoodie and looked back at him. When he glanced to look at you for the nth time, you just rolled your eyes and smiled at him.
“It’s embarrassing, Cheollie.” You complained to him, the smile still on your face.
“How is it embarrassing? Just…look at me.”
“I have been…”
“Okay well…” he faced you again and looked into your eyes. “I love your laugh, honey.”
It felt as if he was staring into your soul by how deep his gaze is. You looked towards the windshield and laughed.
“Nevermind, Cheol. Where are we going?” You questioned him, moving your gaze back to his face.
“Wherever you want to go, honey. Wherever you want.”
“I’ll go anywhere as long as it’s with you Cheollie.”
