Chapter 1: Geek Invented Super Heaven

Chapter Text

When Cas got back to the bunker, he looked a little puzzled. Taking the bag with everything he bought in the next grocery store to the kitchen, he didn’t even notice Sam and Eileen, who greated him. The hunter sat on his laptop in the bunker’s bibliotheca, searching for a new case, while Eileen read up on something about the Nordic mythology.

Dean and Jack sat in the kitchen, holding a spoon near their waist, while staring at each other. A bowl of cereals with milk in front each of them, while the kitchen clock was ticking their last seconds. With the ring the combat started. As fast as they could they emptied their bowl. Dean was the first to switch over the empty bowl, jumping up the next second.

“Yeehaa!” he cheered, jumping up and down like a little boy. “You will never beat the king of the cereal bowl, kiddo.” He told the half angel kid with an superior smirk.

Jack inspected him with a calm soft smile. He knew it was best to let Dean win on their morning battles, or he might pout the rest of the day.

“Cas! Meet the master of the cereal invasion.” Dean now had turned to the angel who just entered the kitchen. Unintentional ignoring the hunter, he placed the bag on the kitchen shelf and stared at a hand full of colorful paper stripes in his hand.

Dean took down his arms, calming down, when he saw, that the angel hadn’t even noticed him. Grumbling a bit, Jack finally spoke out the question, he had in his mind too.

“Are you okay?”

Looking up to the half angel, Castiel shook his head slightly.

“I am not sure.” He then said, which lead Dean to move closer to him.

“What happened?” he asked the angel a little bit worried.

Cas eyes now wandered further to the hunter.

“I always knew there were a human similar to every human somewhere else in the world. They act differently because of their lifes but they look very much the same. Like a twin but not. I just wouldn’t have thought it would be that much resemblance.”

Dean starred at the angel, trying to get what he was talking about, but then gave up a moment later.

“You make no sense, man.”

Cas now held up the five paper strips, who from this close more looked like tickets for some kind of an event.

“A man ran into me when I walked out of the grocery store. He was mumbling something about getting the ingredients for the hunt and that he was already late. But the strangest part was, that he looked exactly like me.”

“Another you? Are you sure he wasn’t just a shapeshifter?”

“He wore a blue sweater and beige jeans.  He wasn’t like me. And he didn’t act like me.”

“Okay so no shapeshifter.”

“Maybe someone from another dimension. We should look into it.” Jack guessed when he came to them, getting excited because of the new case. Dean saw that Castiel still was deep in thoughts.

“Well I get, that it is strange to meet yourself or someone who looked exactly like you. Happened a lot to me in the past. But do you think he is evil?” Dean told the angel and patted his shoulder.

Cas shook his head again, easing up a bit by Dean’s trying to comfort him.

“I don’t think he is evil. He seemed at least surprised by my appearance even if not shocked. But he apologized to me, after he ran into me. And he gifted me these 5 tickets as compensation. He told me to have fun once in a while and that these tickets were the right way to do so. I should share them with my family.”

“So, I guess one of them is mine than.” A huge smile appeared on Dean’s lips when he snapped away one of the tickets out of Cas hand. Jack and Castiel shortly exchanged a look and after a nod of his father, Jack took a ticket too.

“Sounds like there is something for free for all of us.” Sam let hear, when he and Eileen entered the kitchen, after they decided to also check on Cas because of his strange absence while entering the bunker.

Cas gave both of them a ticket too.

“This other you. He seems to know you well.” Sam acknowledged, since the stranger had given Cas exactly 5 tickets, which summed up the people living in the bunker now, and who Cas would call his family. The angel nodded.

Meanwhile Dean starred at the ticket, when Jack again spoke out what he was about to ask.

“What’s a GISH?”

“He didn’t say.”

“From the colors at the ticket, maybe a festival?” Eileen now guessed.

“The letters are all capital letters. Could be an abbreviation for something.” Sam concluded and started to set up his laptop at the kitchen table to search for it on the internet.

“I know…” it came from Dean with a smirk. “It is the Grandiose Indoor Slumber Hangout. Hugest pillow fight in a warehouse full of king size beds and well more pillows that you can count.”

“Dean, no porn, reality.” Sam told him, giving him a look over the edge of the laptop.

Dean shrugged his shoulders.

“I don’t think there is such a thing as a huge warehouse with beds and pillows.” Castiel agreed, but Dean only smirked again.

“But it would be cool, maybe even hot.” He answered giving his thoughts the ability to fly for a moment.

“Okay I found it.” Sam said shortly after, but Dean interrupted him before he could say a thing.

“Let me guess again. It’s the Giant Incubus Save House.”

“Not even close, Dean, sorry.” Eileen told him, who now gave the website a closer look, after she read his second idea.

“It is the Gate into Summer Happiness then.”

“Close, since it is in summer and seemed to have to do with fun.” Sam answered. “But still not the correct translation.”

“Maybe the Glorious Improvised Supernatural Hunt?”

“A hunt in summer is the most fun for you?”

Jack now looked at him asking, but somewhat agreeing with the answer the moment after.

“I like saving people. And hunting can be fun.”

“Still not the correct translation.” Castiel now stated, after all, aside of Dean had taken place behind Sam to look at the laptop screen. “The website says it is the Greatest International Scavenger Hunt.”

The older brother now joined them.

“So, I was right about the hunt.” He stated proud. “But why would you hunt scavengers.”

Sam scrolled down a bit to a video, after rolling his eyes about his brother’s comment. The next moment Dean reached by his brothers’ side and tapped on the keyboard. The video started to play.

Not even a minute later the video ended, while 5 people still starred at the screen for another minute.

“I don’t get it.” Dean was the first to speak.

“It was strange but very colorful.” Castiel more stated, his head slightly tiled to the side.

Jack smiled, having enjoyed watching the video.

“The people seemed to have a lot of fun.”

“The kind of craziness at least matches our usual hunts but without all the blood and killing things. And it says here that you can build a team.” It came from Sam pointing it out on the laptop.

Eileen straightened up, looking at all the men.

“What are we waiting for boys. Team Free Will 3.0 ready for a hunt?”

All now turned to the only woman in their mid. Dean smirked, Jack looked excited, Sam shrugged his shoulders with a ‘why not’ look on his face and Cas hold out his ticket in the middle of all of them, like he had seen it in one of the movies Dean made him watch.

Eileen joined him first and when all of them placed their tickets in the middle, she shouted.

“Go Team Free Will 3.0”
