After finding a new job at the comic store, her awkward, almost creepy coworker started following her around and trying to talk to her. She made the mistake of giving him her number and talking to him. He's obviously never recieved that kind of attention, so he easily got very attached. Ever since that day, he's been blowing up her phone every day along with other creepy things. As much as she wanted to block him due to his creepy behavior, she couldn't because she pities him. His mental health was terrible and he obviously needed help. In this story, she's trying to do the right thing, torn between ditching him and trying to help him.

Slowly, his eyes fluttered open; only for him to slam them back shut.
He attempted to hiss in discomfort, only to instead suck fiery water into his lungs. He choked, sputtering as he reached up to grasp at his neck. His eyes now shot open despite the pain, looking around wildly at the flood of green in a confused haze. Reflexes kick in; his legs kicked out, pushing his way towards the surface.
He breached the water with greedy gasps for air, followed by a hacking cough when his body realized that his lungs were burning with the liquid from the pool. He looked around in a panic, eyes still stinging from the unnatural water that was seeping into every orifice.
“Timothy,” a voice commanded, and his (Is he Timothy?) head snapped upwards, locking eyes with a man. A name sat on the tip of his (His? Yes, he’s a he.) tongue — yet it escaped him as confusion fogged his mind. The man seemed pleased at his furrowed brow. A slimy-looking grin spread across his face, wrinkles crinkling at the edges of his eyes. “Welcome back, detective.”

Meanwhile, after the excitement of being hired by one of the most well-known fine-dining restaurants of the area faded, Alastor realized he had gotten stuck with a positively infuriating, bitter, oversensitive boss. How great is that. Here's to trying his utmost to make this professional relationship work as best he can.
