Summary
To her, he was everything a father shouldn't be: incompetent, greedy, selfish, and utterly embarrassing. Living at the very bottom of society, he couldn’t provide her the comfort or dignity she longed for. Her childhood was colored by disappointment, resentment, and a deep desire to escape the shadow of a man she believed had failed her in every way.
She avoided him. She hated the way he scrimped and saved. She hated the way he dressed, the way he spoke, the way he simply existed.
One day, she stumbled upon a truth too heavy to bear: her father had been silently battling cancer for sixteen years. He endured endless pain, not for himself, but to stay alive for her. To make sure she was fed. Clothed. Safe.
By the time she understood the weight of his sacrifice, it was too late. He was gone.

Confused and disoriented after a mysterious fire burns your house down, you go to Freddy Fazbear's Mega Pizzaplex to try to clear your mind. While there, you fall asleep by accident and wake up after hours to find that you are trapped there for the night.
Blackout is a bitter, resentful, arrogant animatronic who has been forced to live in the shadows of the Pizzaplex since the day he first woke up in a strange, oddly-coloured spare daycare attendant body. The moment he went online, he was declared a virus codenamed "Blackout" and was hunted by the other animatronics. Since then, he has vowed to get his revenge and someday take full control of the Pizzaplex. When Blackout finds you, he declares that you are his servant and makes you live with him in the daycare's basement, hidden from everyone else. But as time passes, he grows attached to you. Despite wanting to remain in control, he finds himself caring about you more than he can admit...even to himself.

There is a lump in Emily’s throat so sudden she nearly laughs. Normal.
This is normal. Standing three feet from someone whose absence had to be trained into habit. Listening to her talk about work as though Emily does not know how Andrea’s voice sounds half-asleep. Watching her hold a wine glass correctly because Emily taught her to. Smiling while every buried question claws its way back up at once.

If you ask Andrea when they broke up, she'll tell you about two years ago.
If you ask Emily, it's one year, eleven months and nineteen days.

It's just that every time he reached out for comfort after being bullied or harassed, he is told that he is strong enough to fight his own battles so why should anyone have to help him?
And yet, Ichigo was still expected to be kind? To want to offer his life and limb up for those who wouldn't watch his back? To cherish live that would see him dead in the dirt if he wasn't useful?
