Bruce found Jason the way you find a stray dog on the street—reluctant, knowing it’s probably a bad idea, but unable to walk away. Maybe it was pity. Maybe it was guilt.
Either way, he took him in.
But Jason, like any mutt, wasn’t a very good dog. He couldn’t sit still.
Couldn’t help but disobey. Couldn’t stop biting.
