    Sam was fighting against his better judgement the whole night. It had taken hours of therapy and years of practice to learn that he could not fix everyone, that he was not responsible for other people's negative emotions. But when it came to Bucky all that hard work went out the window. After the mess at the bar Sam's mind became wholly preoccupied with the tension in Bucky's shoulders and his empty ice blue eyes. Even his sarcastic quips didn't have the same edge to them.
