Summary
Humans don't know much about unicorns. The stories call them words like "gentle," "pure," and "graceful," but they're really a violent warrior culture of hermaphrodites with a strong, sexually-charged hierarchy. The King Stallion leads the herd, and all other unicorns "play mare" to him. Dominance is settled through battle and frequently concludes with a round of rough sex. It is not a gentle community, and it's not exactly well-suited to humans.
But I guess I'm unlucky. After a unicorn saved my life from some awful hellbeast, I owed him a life debt - and the laws of magic agreed. The unicorn carried me away to Faerie to take me back to his herd and give him the "life I owed." Yeah. There, I received some very… interesting… lessons about unicorn culture, and where a young trans man could fit into it.
