Documentaries and love

Summary:

Bill is madly in love with his human, and silently admires him until he gets caught and called out for it.

Work Text:

They were in the shacks living room, the tv on some lame fake documentary about some cryptid somewhere else in the world. Bill wasn't really watching or listening to it though. He had, originally been doing so, and correcting the information for Dipper, but he'd stopped when he caught a glance at him. The way he was focused into the show, the way his eyes were so alive as he took in the misinformation, which Bill would have to correct when he had caught himself. But, right now he was transfixed on the young man in front of him.

The way Dipper hung onto every word the tv said. The way he'd excitedly flap his hands when he got excited about something it said. The way he'd shift in his seat because they'd been watching things like this for seven hours without a bathroom break, but Dipper seemed determined to hold it until he just could not do so anymore.

Bill was smiling as he admired Dipper. As he watched his favorite human quietly, almost making his own documentary in his head.
'Here we have a human, nothing particularly different about this specimen. He isn't a genius, though he is above average intelligence for his kind. He is rather weak physically compared to other males his age. But he had captured the mate of an unusual kind for his species. An elusive dream demon. Most humans don't even know such a species exist. Look at how the human flaps his hands to show his excitement, or the way his face contorts to show pleasure. Such an interesting trait of humanity.' he was mostly teasing with his mental narration, not that any one could hear it.

He blushed a bit more, wondering how long ago he'd stopped looking at the tv, and wondering how long it would take for Dipper to notice.
Though, as if thinking it had caught Dippers attention, he turned to face him. "Hey, you haven't commented on the show in a little bit- are you okay?" He asked softly. Before blushing realizing just how intently Bill had been staring, and seeing the blush on his face.

"Uh yeah, sorry," Bill said dumbly, despite it being out of character for himself. "I just, found something else much more interesting." He admitted.

"Oh? What's that?" Dipper grinned, despite already having a guess.

Bill floated up, still in his sitting position and floated toward him, moving a hand to hold his cheek, "Just one really interesting human," he said softly.

Dipper smiled warmly, leaning his head into the hand, "Yeah? Tell me about him." He laughed softly.

"I didn't say it was a male," he pointed out.
"Well- considering your track record of humans, I figured it was a safe bet."

"Hm.. fair enough I suppose, I really haven't chosen a female to be a muse too yet." He shrugged a bit, "I suppose I do have a preference afterall. However, this human is significantly more important than all the rest, because, he achieved something no one else has."

"Oh, and what's that?"

"He has claimed my heart, fully. Without really even trying." Bill grinned at him.

"And, I'm pretty sure you have his too." Dipper said softly.

"I suppose I do, but just to make sure." Bill grinned at him, leaning in and kissing him. Dipper chuckled against his lips, before kissing back.

"Mm, yes, it feels like I really do have his heart." Bill said after they parted.

"Good, because I wouldn't want it to be anywhere but with you."

"And I wouldn't want mine to be anywhere but with you."
