    Sunday brunch at Wayne Manor is not an invitation so much as it is declarative. Mandatory weekly attendance for the two people who mean all the world to Bruce Wayne, so of course, Rachel Dawes will be there. It’s a new tradition all their own.

    As for Jim Gordon? For him, it’s a damn novelty that he doesn’t think will ever, ever wear off. When it comes to Sunday brunch, there’s probably a perfect attendance trophy somewhere with his name engraved on it.
