“S-stay away from me!” Bennett squeaked, trying to sound frightening. The ears of the fox twitched in amusement, and he laughed, grinning wildly. “My, you’re a rude little Bunny. I take you in from the cold so you don’t freeze, and now you yell at me? No manners at all.”
He pushed himself upright, his already tall body unfurling into an imposing height. He stalked closer to Bennett, red tail swaying playfully behind him. His lips pulled back into a wild grin, showing off his sharp canines.
Whimpering, Bennett slinked back down, sitting helpless. He felt his eyes sting as he fought back the desire to cry. “I’m sorry. Please Sir, don’t eat me.”
