The first thing you notice about him is that he’s missing his two front teeth. Next, that he’s so small. His features all seem too big for his face. There’s no way this kid is any older than five years old, and he’s supposed to be seven?
He shakes out his bangs and spreads his mouth in a practiced smile, pulled far at the edges in the way children smile before they learn that there’s more to it than just baring their teeth. You’ve never had trouble making friends, but you’re not entirely sure what to do with this kid.
