It was the fashion event of the century. Ok. Maybe not that important but it might as well have been to Marinette and neither Adrien nor Kagami could reasonably figure out how to get her there. Neither of them could invite a plus one; they’d have to be older to buy any sort of tickets themselves and their parents wouldn’t budge, they’d even been unable to get help from Jagged who was usually pretty on board with helping Marinette achieve some kind of shenaniganary but the rules said he’d have to attend in person to get her in as a plus one as she’d technically be an unattended minor without him, though it wasn’t like either of their parents planned to pay the two of them much mind. They’d even made a brief attempt to recruit her as a last minute event worker just to have a small chance of getting to have her there with them but that was even more thoroughly vetted than the entry tickets and they weren’t about to risk her career goals over getting in trouble for something like this.
“There has to be somewhere they’re not going to be watching!” Kagami let out with a frustrated groan, her eyes strained from trying to scour the map she’d pulled up on the computer. Taking a hard look at each entrance and carefully considering the security measures that would probably accompany each one.
“I’ve been there before, they barely let the people who’re supposed to be there in. It’s sealed like a bank.” Adrien had basically given up on them being able to case the location as it was just looking more and more impossible.
“Well..” Kagami paused as she tried to come up with something, anything, that could work, “what if she dresses up as me and I just don’t even go? She’s pretty good at acting.”
“With your mom there? Leering over her every move?” Kagami rolled her eyes in annoyance and nodded, basically agreeing with his point but it still frustrated her. “I have no doubt that she wouldn’t be able to pull it off under other circumstances but here?”
The two of them had been in open rebellion against the strictness of their respective households for long enough to recognize where the hard limits were by now.
“It’s just such a shame that she only got second in that last competition or else she’d be there as a guest artist. She practically wound up as the guest of honor the last time it happened.” Kagami said, reminding him of that time Audrey almost recruited their girlfriend for an internship across the sea.
“Yeah that one was pretty fun until Adrien got himself turned into glitter.” Came a tiny voice the both recognized prompting them both to begin frantically looking beneath and behind objects in the room for the swarm of Multimice that’d evidently snuck up on them.
“Where did you-“ Adrien began to ask before finally spotting her waving up at him from beside the laptop, ironically enough on the mousepad. “Ok, that’s one. Where’s the rest of you?”
“Just me.” The little superheroine chimes in, “I’ve been working on controlling my numbers. I still need to multiply in order to shrink so there are technically two of me right now but the other one is back at my place.”
“How long have you been there?!” Kagami blurted out, still taken aback that she hadn’t noticed her literally inches from the screen she’d been staring at for ages now.
“Sometime around the plan to claim I was one of the models? I’m flattered that you think I’d look good in so many different outfits by the way.” She gave a pointed nod to Adrien who was now remembering all the different ways he’d been gushing over her beauty in the past hour or so. “The one about distracting the guards at the southwest gates was pretty interesting too, but I’m certainly not anywhere near that fast.”
Kagami could only look down at her desk, still bewildered that she hadn’t noticed anything. Multimouse got all the way to her house and inside her room and was just silently enjoying their company without making a peep?
“I appreciate all the effort at least,” the Minimouse added. “Shame they’re too strict for any of your plans to work.”
“Actually…” Kagami began, having just realized the potential of what lay before her, “I might have one final idea worth considering.”

All three were used to wearing light jackets over their shirts with a few pockets in them. Granted Kagami had less formalwear that fit this criteria but there were still some. A designer girlfriend whose hobbies included adding pocket space to clothing could even help make modifications if her mother insisted she wear something more traditional.
A designer girlfriend who could be a pocket sized superhero could then get passage from her boyfriend and girlfriend to the fashion show.
But pockets, alongside handbags and other accessories were to be checked at all public entrances.
So Adrien, who took a staff entrance, had to nonchalantly leave the backstage area to greet his girlfriend before the show.
Adrien delighted in any reason to linger in a hug and letting a pair of Multimice sneak out of his pockets and into Kagami’s so that the three of them could share a front row seat while he would be cycling through outfit after outfit was certainly up there in the list of his favorite excuses to enjoy a hug.
A brief walk by one of the complimentary bars before the show gave Kagami another idea to help in their souris subterfuge. Asking for a cup of ice shavings with orange juice she managed to get one of the cocktail umbrellas that seemed to accompany all of the shaved ice drinks she’d seen passed out alongside what was basically an orange juice slushee.
She quietly placed the small parasol over her secret attendees like it were a mock broach pinned to her chest. An extra bit of cover from wandering eyes.
Taking her seat beside her mother Marinette knew she’d have to stay quiet, but would be allowed someone freedom of movement for the time being. Hand signals made up from over a year of super hero shenanigans and antics allowed her to communicate her thoughts flawlessly with her other self beside her. But when that wasn’t enough they began taking pictures and notes on the communicators built into their jump ropes.
Fashion was not Kagami’s forte but her mother had even less interest given that she couldn’t actually see it so after a considerable amount of time invested Tomoe left to enjoy other facets of the event. This allowed Kagami to loosen up and become much more conscious of the rustling going on in her breast pocket. The knowledge that she’d been able to provide this experience to Marinette not once but twice simultaneously brought more joy and inspiration than any of the beautiful designs that passed before her on the catwalk.
Later, when Adrien could finally rejoin, he took one of the Multimice to ride with him as the two of the four of the three of them waited for the perfect time to sneak away from the party together and venture out into the city.
Winding up at Andre’s ice cream, as they so often did when they were allowed to wander, he was a bit stunned to only see two of them at a time but gave them what had become their usual by then.
Sitting down somewhere quiet, Adrien was so thankful for Kagami to be able come up with the plan they’d just pulled off so beautifully. As he stared into her soft brown eyes he could only blush as she stared back, the Multimouse in his breast pocket equally enthralled with their girlfriend and her recent achievement in their stealth operation. Meanwhile, mirroring Multimouse, Multimouse prepared to bury her face in a spoonful of ice cream, finding another way to end their date in bliss.
