Marinette knows the main reason Adrien quit modeling the first chance he got was because of the diet it required him to maintain. Intellectually, she knows he’s not the type to hold double standards. But some small part of Marinette’s brain, the part that still thinks she’ll never quite be good enough for Adrien, can’t help but worry about how he’ll react to the changes in her body as Christmas draws near. Luckily, Adrien is there to reassure her that even when your boyfriend is a minor celebrity, there’s nothing wrong with a few extra sweets to celebrate the season.

Chloé would be the first to admit that she’s not a nice person. If she were feeling particularly self-reflective, she might even be willing to admit that it makes her less than suitable to be a hero. She was no Rossi, though. She knew Rossi didn’t get along with Dupain-Cheng any more than Chloé herself did, but this latest plan was…unthinkable, and Chloé would never be able to live with herself if she didn’t intervene on her souffre-douleur’s behalf. That still didn’t make her a hero, though, not considering everything else she’d done.

Gabemoth tries to leverage the love square to his own advantage. Operative word being tries, because he’s missing two critical pieces of information that mean what he does instead is put Marinette and Adrien in a hotel room with only one bed and no adult supervision. The Adrienette interactions are adorable, even in the initial awkward phase where they’re torn between wanting to be respectful of the fact that the neither of them agreed to be put in this situation and trying to figure out if the other person feels the same way, and while it’s not immediately obvious what Gabe is planning because the story is mostly from Adrien’s POV, when the reveal finally comes, you can’t help but laugh, because he’s so convinced it’s a good plan even though it’s actually rather questionable even without considering the information we have that he doesn’t.

Ladybug and Chat are killing time swiping through Tinder after patrol when they accidentally match each other as their civilian selves. Adrien realizes right away what’s happened, and the story mostly follows his POV as he endeavors to lead his lady to the same conclusion since he’s too nervous to come right out and tell her. There’s a little bit of awkwardness between Adrien and Marinette at first until they get their bearings, but they quickly fall back into their usual rhythm, which is completely and utterly adorable to watch. We don’t get to see enough of Adrien being nervous around his crush in this fandom, and this fic’s depiction of it is amazing. Honestly, everything about this fic is amazing, from the humor to the fluff to the way that Tom is all but openly shipping Adrienette.

When Harry’s saving people thing brings him across the path of Daphne Greengrass and her sister Astoria, they hatch a plot to bring down Voldemort and the system that enabled his rise by twisting mostly-forgotten rules to their own advantage. It’s mostly Daphne driving the plan, but in my opinion, the fic is that much better for it since Harry is learning the ways of the Ancient Houses as he goes, and having him absorb it immediately and be able to come up with complex plans based around taking advantage of the rules would stretch credibility. The fic also does a good job of developing the Harry/Daphne romance without making it seem rushed despite the short timeframe over which the main body of the action takes place.

A heartwarming tale of the formation of HUNTR/X featuring adorably precocious Rumi, Zoey finding her place in the world, Mira being rescued and having vengeance wrought on her behalf, and Bobby as the ultimate girl dad. Definitely give this one a read.
