Work Text:
(Y/N) considered many possibilities over her years as a vampire. Sometimes simple choices such as left and right can change an entire lifetime. It made her thankful of the choices she had made to lead her here.
Jasper twirled her gently to a beat that wasn’t there. He always liked dancing with (Y/N), having her scent close to him distracted him from his daily worries. Everything that plagued his mind seemingly vanished when he held her close.
“Have you ever thought what would’ve happened if we had never met?” She asked as Jasper spun her out and then back into his arms again.
“No,” Jasper said before pausing. Why would he think about these things? Life without (Y/N) would be meaningless. He couldn’t imagine going on without his (Y/N), his mate, he wife.
“I think we would have met even if we weren’t in Virginia together.” She hummed. “Somehow; some way.”
“That’s rather sentimental, Darlin’. What’s brought this on?”
“Am I not allowed to be sentimental, today. It’s been fifty years.”
Jasper smiled down at his wife. Fifty years. He had married her fifty years ago and yet, it felt like yesterday. Long ago he had wondered if his love for her would fade away, but after all this time, he knew it wasn’t possible. He would love her forever.
