Just Say You Love Me Back

Summary:

"You remind me of how Stripe squeaks aggressively every time I forget to feed him."

Tweek blinked once. Twice. Thrice.

"Craig Tucker, I am talking about important matters and the only thing you think of me is how I'm acting like a starving hamster?"

'Well, he’s a guinea pig actually." Craig corrected with a smirk. "C'mon babe, I thought you were smarter than that?"

Work Text:

Tweek rarely got mad at Craig for being (kind of) stupid sometimes but when he did, dear God did Craig need to pray hard just to continue seeing the light of the following days; basically, whenever Tweek got mad at him, he needed to sleep with one eye open.

And unfortunately for Craig, it was one of those days.

Craig had promised Tweek that he wouldn't get into fights anymore; Tweek promised that he'd come over more often if Craig didn't get himself in trouble at school but he had unfortunately broken that promise.

Now, here Craig was, right ear getting pulled by his boyfriend.

"How many times did I tell you, Craig?!"

"Ow, ow—babe! that fucking hurts—!'

"I don't care! You never listen to me," Tweek angrily huffed.

"Okay, damn, I'll listen! I swear, just let go." The smaller boy finally let go of Craig's abused ear. "You've got some strong grip babe—"

Tweek cut him off with a glare. "Don't pull that shit on me, Tucker."

A couple of "oooh's" and "damn" noises were made by some of the students inside the gymnasium. Then Craig frowned upon noticing Tweek pulled him into the school gymnasium.

"Sit down, " Ordered Tweek as his cheeks continued to puff out and his arms crossing over his chest, mimicking an angry mother. His left foot was tapping, waiting for Craig to sit down on the nearest bench.

"Tweek, I am sorry—"

"Who did you fight?" Tweek swiftly interrupted him again.

"It was Cartman..."

Craig could practically feel his boyfriend roll his eyes but he still replied softly at Craig. "Okay, Cartman does deserve the worst things but you do not; I know you promised you wouldn't start fights anymore. What happened to that?"

"Babe, I swear—"

"Why did you fight him, Craig?"

"..."

"...Craig?"

Craig's cheeks blushed as his gaze lowered, suddenly feeling ashamed of his own actions. "...He said Red Racer was for stupid children."

Tweek was caught off guard by Craig's answer... but then again it was Craig. However, he had dedicated himself to acting tough despite wanting to burst out laughing at his boyfriend (and his stupidly cute reason for starting fights). "I make fun of you for watching Red Racer but you don't threaten to bash my teeth in."

Craig finally looked at Tweek with an apologetic grin. He pulled Tweek closer by the waist and chuckled out an answer: "Cartman isn't as cute as you and you're my boyfriend."

"Don't talk your way out of this one, Craig. I'm still mad at you."

"Are you sure?" Craig teased, earning another glare from the frowning blonde in front of him.

"I'm more than sure! Who knows what could've happened if it was one of the teachers who saw you guys?"

"I don't think they care—"

"They might call your parents. You might get suspended, oh Jesus, I'd have to talk to your father about that—"

"Babe—"

"I-It's just—Craig, you're really stupid sometimes..."

The raven-haired boy smiled at that. "But you still love me."

"Right now I don't."

"Not fair."

"You know what wouldn't be fair? repeating another grade because of a stupid fight about a children's show! There are other things worthy of fighting for b-but not this, man! Don't stoop on the same level as Cartman, you promised me that that wouldn't happen. Didn't you?"

"I did, yep."

"Then stop—oh my god, are you okay?" Tweek suddenly stopped rambling as he saw the bruises on Craig's arm. "This is preposterous, Craig."

"Yeah. Totally preposition."

"Preposterous," Tweek corrected with a sigh. "That's your word of the day, you big baby. Now hold still, I'm gonna clean your wounds." The blonde boy pulled out a small first aid kit, which was designed with a bunch of stickers. Craig noticed how Tweek always seemed to carry the small bag around with him everywhere he went. He didn’t know it would come in handy til' this day.

Craig knew he started stupid fights and arguments about things that weren't even worth arguing about and he didn't appreciate himself for acting a little too childish about it but he did enjoy playfully bantering with his boyfriend. Every time Tweek opened his mouth and scolded Craig, the taller boy could feel himself feeling all fuzzy and giddy instead of feeling offended. Maybe he enjoyed being scolded by Tweek, who was always just nodding along with whatever anyone said. Maybe he enjoyed seeing Tweek act unhinge about his boyfriend's stupid silly actions. Maybe he just enjoyed being patched up by Tweek every time Craig hurt himself. Maybe—

"Craig, are you listening?"

"Y-Yeah."

"Good, because you need to listen or else I'll stop coming over." Tweek saw Craig pout at that but he also needed Craig to stop getting into stupid fights. "Forever," Tweek added.

"What do you mean 'forever'? Tweek, you love mom's cooking, you always have dinner every Thursdays—"

"Exactly why you'd better behave yourself, Craig, or else I really won't be coming over anymore," Tweek sucked in a huge breath before continuing to scold Craig. "Honestly! I'm not mad or anything, I just think you shouldn't waste your time on starting stupid fights. You could get others hurt or you could get yourself hurt, and I don't like seeing you get hurt, Craig; it's just ridiculous. You're being quite ridiculous right now actually, but again, you're lucky I love you or else—wh-what? w-why are you looking at me like that?"

"Huh?"

"Why are you looking at me like that?" the blonde's eyebrows quirked as he nervously blushed at the expression Craig was giving him.

"Nothing. Keep talking, honey."

"Craig."

"Yeah?"

Tweek tapped his foot waiting for Craig to explain why he was looking at Tweek like that.

Craig softly chuckled before giving another small smile.

Tweek shot Craig another threatening glare before wiping that smirk off his face. “You are being so insufferable right now, I refuse to engage with you any further, Craig.”

Craig snickered at how Tweek stomped away from him. He swore he could see the smaller boy puff his red cheeks out. He could also see tick marks appearing on the back of Tweek’s head. Craig softly smiled at the sight; not caring about anyone else but the frowning blonde walking away from him, who also happened to be his boyfriend.

Tweek really acted like Stripes sometimes and Craig absolutely adored that.
