"Wow, you look like shit."
Phoenix snuffled. "Thanks. I feel like it." He fell back against the couch, thumbs pressed to his inner eyebrows.
"You know what'll fix you up? Some soup!" Larry began rummaging through the kitchen for ingredients.
"Not really in the mood for canned soup," Phoenix rebutted.
"Nah dude! I'm gonna make it from scratch!"
"... Since when do you cook?" He hadn't even noticed Larry crossing the room until a finger was on his lips, shushing him.
"Trust me, dude. It'll be like magic."
And it was. Just the right amount of spice to relieve his sinuses, and Phoenix hummed, content and warm.
