Summary
Sexual assault. He rolls it around in his head. It’s ridiculous.
It’s a messed up, life ruining accusation; he’d never do something like that to any girl. The idea is positively mental, makes him ill. His parents raised him well, taught him the importance of consent- No means no, respect her boundaries, ask first, all of it. James Potter would never take advantage of someone sexually. But that’s not what he’s been charged with, not exactly.
The lake… it doesn’t count. It was a stupid prank, it’s what the Marauders are known for, their source of infamy, it didn’t mean anything beyond that. It’s not like he’d known Snivellus hadn’t been wearing any trousers when he cast Levicorpus, it just happened that way, and he’d only gone further because he’d called Evans that awful word.
OR
James Potter overhears a conversation that prompts him to consider his actions and issue an apology to one Severus Snape or risk being taken to court.

Arms dealer Pierre Beaumarchais hired Antonio Salieri to write the score for his vanity project, moved him into his home, called his music too feminine, forced him to scrap hundreds of hours of material, and publicly boasted that the younger man gave him "delightful pleasure in the evenings". They went everywhere together and people noticed that they were giving a weird 'master and servant' vibe. Beaumarchais wanted Salieri to stay with him for good...
Then Salieri got accused in the murder of his friend and rival, Wolfgang Mozart.This is historically accurate.
I just didn't feel like juggling their massive 18th-century families, so I threw the entire mess into the 21st century.
