Chapter Text
Tommy doesn’t really like school. He finds it boring as hell. He spends most of his school time daydreaming and waiting for the bell to ring.
He’s currently in history class going over the history of superpowers. Which is something they go over every single year. Tommy already knows about the level system. He already knows about offensive and defensive powers. He doesn’t need to listen to this.
Tommy takes out a bunch of sticky notes and starts drawing a bee on it. He quickly sticks it to the desk next to him. His friend, Tubbo, who sits at the desk, looks over at the bee and writes something on the sticky note. Tubbo hands the note back to Tommy
It’s says “I like da bee”.
Tommy let’s out a quiet chuckle and picks up a other notes and starts drawing more bees. The notes go back and forth between Tubbo and Tommy until one particularly weird looking troll face bee, sets both of them off laughing.
“Tommy! Tubbo! Will one of you like to explain what I just went over.” The teacher stared at Tommy with anger and sternness.
“uhh” Tubbo spoke as he shook in his chair.
“We were talking about levels and stuff.” Tommy spoke trying to save Tubbo from anxiety.
“What about levels exactly?” The teacher asked.
“Super powers are organized into groups or levels.
Level 1 or non-combat/assistant: are powers that are too weak for combat or can not help offensively or defensively in battle. They can be used to assist heroes from the side lines.
Level 2 or combat powers: are powers that can cause significant damage to others or prevent significant damage.” Tommy replied.
“Correct, Mr Innit.” Then the kid in the back raise his hand. “Yes Ranboo?” The teacher asked.
”What about the third level?” That Ranboo kid asked.
“Level 3..Well it’s a myth really. The story is that there used to be people who not only had powers but animals traits as well. They were supposedly very powerful. But no one has ever been abled to prove their existence, through. Mostly false claims and fake sightings.” The teacher explained.
“Wrong.” Tommy thought. He knows their real. He knows because he is one of them.

”Tommy! Tommy! Tommy!” Tubbo shouted as he poked Tommy in the arm.
“Ouch! That’s hurts.” Tommy exclaimed as Tubbo put on a mischievous grin.
”Sorry, next time I’ll just head bunt you to get your attention.” Tubbo spoke with a laugh.
”Oh god not again” Tommy gave Tubbo a little shove and Tubbo shoved him back laughing.
“Tommy..I’m still not sure about the..whole hero thing.” Tubbo’s tone quickly changed to be more quiet and soft.
“Right hero training” Tommy thought.
“Look Tubbo it will be fine. The super hero training is what got us in to this school. What got us out of that group home.” Tommy explained. With out that hero training program at this school, they would not have been abled to get in. They wouldn’t have the grades nor money, plus Tommy’s track with getting in fights at his old school. The school trains kids to control their powers so they can use them for future jobs. It was there only way out. Tommy looked at Tubbo who was looking down.
”I don’t think I’ll make a good hero. I-I don’t like fighting.” Tubbo stammered a bit as he spoke. Tommy knows Tubbo isn’t a fighter but there was no way he was going to leave him alone at that group home.
“Hey, it’s okay. When I’m a famous hero, you can retire early and I can take care of you.” Tommy tried his best to reinsured Tubbo. “I’m sure they just have you catch kids graffitiing and walk the elderly across the street.”
“Yeah, I hope so.” Tubbo replied as he opened his bag and grabbed a string bracelet.
“What’s that?” Tommy asked.
“It’s a bracelet. I made some for you, me, and Ranboo.” Tubbo said as he tied the bracelet around Tommy’s wrist.
“Ranboo. That weird kid with the two different color eyes and black and white hair?” Tommy asked.
”Yes Tommy. That kid.” Tubbo rolled his eyes, knowing the comment that’s coming.
“He’s a wrongin Tubbo. There something weird with that kid.” Tommy is fully convinced that Ranboo is an alien or something.
”Tommy, Ranboo’s fine. Your just jealous or something.” Tubbo remarks laughing a little.
“Hey! I am not!” Tommy defends himself.
Eventually, they both reach their dorm and unlock the door with their key. Tommy immediately flops down on his bed and scrolls through Instagram.
”Tommy, you have home work to do.” Tubbo tells Tommy.
”Ughhhh like you want to do homework.” Tommy grunted.
“Oh. I Absolutely don’t. But it’s better to get it done now so we don’t have to worry about it later.” Tubbo responded.
Tommy sat up and stretch his arms as he took out his tail and ears.
“Tommy!” Tubbo shouted.
“Relax my sheep friend, I locked the door. Plus they don’t put cameras in the dorms. I even checked just in case. No one is going to see me with my hybrid traits.” Tommy spoke quietly.
“No that’s not-“ A knock at the door interrupted him.
“Uhh Tubbo. It’s me Ranboo.” A voice from the other side of the door called out.
“Why is Ranboob here?” Tommy whispered to Tubbo.
“It’s Ranboo not Ranboob. Also I asked him to help us with our math Homework. He is really good at it and-“ Tubbo explained but was interrupted by Tommy.
“I’m not being tutored by an alien.” Tommy whispered as he changed his form, hiding his raccoon hybrid traits.
“He is not an alien.” Tubbo opened the door, letting Ranboo inside.
”Hey, Tubbo. Hey, Tommy.” Ranboo spoke shyly. Tommy can’t help but get the feeling that there’s something different with this guy. Definitely an alien. (He’s not)

Ranboo had a gut feeling that Tommy didn’t like him. At least Tubbo seemed to like him. Tubbo was nice and said thank you for everytime Ranboo helped him. Tommy just glared at him until Tubbo told him to stop.
Ranboo went back to his dorm, glad he could take off his uniform. He threw his jacket on to the bed as his phone started to ring. He turned the Phone over and saw it said BBh.
“Hey Bad!” Ranboo answered.
“Hey kiddo! How’s school? Nothing bad happened right?” Bad asked worryingly.
“Bad, I’m fine..”
“But you know. That hero training program in your school means they’re so many heroes around you…” Bad rambled on.
“Bad, it’s fine. Most of the heroes here are the well intentioned ones. The ones that just want to help people. They’re not corrupt or controlling like the hero organization or the higher ups. Even if they were here I would avoid them.” Ranboo explained.
“Ok, just be safe-“
“Bad stop fretting over the boy! Also your ugly dog is barking at me.” A voice Ranboo recognize as Skeppy come from the phone.
“She’s barking at you because you called her ugly.” Bad shot back.
”Well she is-“
Ranboo decided it would be a good time to end that phone call and go to bed.
