Summary
One critical mistake forces Papyrus to lie low in a random stranger’s basement to heal from his rather painful injuries, the worst being his, ah, now missing mandible. Most conveniently, it seems like the owner of the house is a little too trusting, and sympathetic to the state he is in.
You were not expecting to find a large wounded skeleton monster in your basement. Nor did you anticipate considering his proposition to pretend that the two of you were dating. You agree to help the monster out, however, once he explains he is on some secret mission that he needs a public cover for, and that you're not actually going to date one another. It just so happens to work out, because you end up needing Papyrus' help to fend off a rather alarming increase in stalkers.
There aren't any feelings to be had. Nope. None at all. You don't laugh at Papyrus' stupid jokes because you like him, or enjoy any of that silly flirting. You must have imagined the way he begins to brighten up when he sees you, or moves closer to you when you are near. This whole fake relationship thing just happens to be mutual convenience for the both of you. That's all.
