You and Maki had been in a relationship for a couple of months now. Sharing a lot of interests you got along pretty fast. Especially after training together everyday. Megumi had told you how strong she was but that never stopped you. She admired that in you and slowly but surely, started developing feelings for you.
Not really liking the idea of PDA, the most action you ever got was holding hands. And even after spending so much time together you still felt a little awkward about it. You sure love her presence and cherish every second but something was still missing. The first kiss. She never made a move on you and neither did you. Being as respectful as always.
Tonight you wanted to change that.
Currently she was lying besides you. Her legs intervened in yours and a bucket of Popcorn on the dresser next to the bed. Your head laying in the crook of her neck giving you a good whiff of her new cherry scented body lotion. Taking a deep breath you started playing the scenario in your head for the tenth time.
I’m gonna lean in, close my eyes and give her a small peck. Nothing easier as that. I got this.
You try gathering up all your courage. Your heartbeat getting faster by every passing second.
Her face is glued to the screen of the computer that was on her lap. Now is my chance.
Leaning in and closing your eyes you aim for her lips and—
Hearing a loud knock on the door, Maki quickly flips her had in that direction — your lips now softly pressing on her jaw.
“MAKI SENPAI, open up I gotta ask you something!!”
At that moment you just wanted to strangle Itadori.
“I should probably open and ask what he’s about.”
Not being able to hold back your embarrassment, you take your phone and put on your slippers.
“Yeah you do that. It’s already late I should probably just go to sleep.”
Giving her no time to respond, you open the door revealing Itadori standing in front of it with a big smile on his face. Shooting him a death glare you quickly walk past him in the direction of your room.
“What’s going on with her and where’s she going? Her face was all red”
“Ugh, she was probably just feeling hot, nevermind it. Why are you here?”
After that you tried avoiding being alone with her at breakfast and skipped training too, not wanting to talk about the stunt you tried pulling off the previous day.
Later the same day, your classmates and you decided to go to the beach and spend some time together after winning the Kyoto Sister-School Event.
Taking in the beautiful view of the ocean and drawing on the sand you hear her footsteps behind you.
“You wanna talk about yesterday?”
Just as you were about to reply you hear Itadori shout from a couple meters away. That dork just has to interrupt every time.
“Guys come on let’s take a picture!”
Together with Nanami and Gojo Sensei you all gather up and look in on the camera lense. After one or two photos were taken, Panda speaks up.
“Come on guys, give her a kiss on the cheek. We’d love to have a photo of our favorite couple.”
A bit embarrassed you close your eyes and tilt your head a little to place a quick kiss on your girlfriends cheek, only to feel her lips on yours. Letting out a choked breath you take a step back and shoot your eyes open. You place a hand on your mouth and only then understood that Panda was in fact referring to Maki and not you. She looks at your face with a blush creeping up her face.
“Oh my god i’m sorry, it was an accident.”
“Don’t worry about it idiot, it was long due.”
Hearing the gasps and cheers of your classmates she grabs your color and places another, much longer kiss on your lips. Breaking it off to catch your breath she speaks up again.
“Tastes like Cherries, my favorite.”
