The General smiles sadly, taking a sip. “So long, I can’t remember when it was the last time. But it’s hard to keep track of each and every event when you’re more than 327 years old.”
Anacostia hums, swirling the amber liquid in her glass. “Maybe, if I tell you what we did last time, it’ll help with your memory.”
She looks up from her glass, a smirk playing on her lips when she meets the General’s eyes, and there’s an expression on her features Anacostia knows all too well.
It’s been a while since she’s last seen it.
“Oh, that kind of night,” the General teases, giving Anacostia a once over. “We must’ve had quite a few drinks, because I’m sure I wouldn’t forget about that.”
