Chapter Text
Now that the Megiddo have returned to wreak havoc on both Earth and Wonder World, the Sword of Logos have tried their best to repel the reemerging evil, but to no avail. Their forces were miniscule compared to the Megiddo. Knowing this, Amity decided to finally recruit the man she saw not too long ago. “Luz, I’m going to Earth.” She told her wife.
“Why?”, asked Luz. “We need you here. The Megiddo have all of us surrounded, and we have no backup whatsoever.”
“I’m going to find that man.”, replied Amity. “I’ve been wanting to do this for quite some time after I saw him.” With no hesitation, Amity pulled out her Book Gate, and went straight to Earth.
Elsewhere, Gus was on the battlefield dealing with the rest of the Megiddo, but to no avail. After being defeated, he heads back to the base, wondering where Amity went. “Hey, Luz, have you seen Amity?” He asked.
“Yeah, about that. She went to Earth to find the wielder of Kaenken Rekka.”, replied Luz. “I honestly don’t when she’s coming back.”
On Earth, Blaze, a renowned author, owns the Library of Regulus, where he and his editor, Roxy, maintain the day-to-day operations. Today especially had been quite stressful, as there was an entire class full of kids they had to look over. “Hey, Roxy.”, quipped Blaze. “Have you ever thought of going on an adventure?”
“Why would you say that, Blaze?”, replied Roxy. “We have a library to run. This place is our responsibility.” As they were preparing for the kids’ arrival, a woman in a black cloak approached the two, looking for a book. She went by the name Aila Keizaki.
“Excuse me, but I would like to inquire for a book about Witches.”, requested Aila. “I’ve been interested in this particular topic for quite some time now.” Blaze was willing to help her out as he knew which aisle to go to. Suddenly, the kids arrived, and Roxy had to attend to them while Blaze was helping out Aila.
“Hey, kids. Are you ready the explore the library?”, greeted Roxy. All of them agreed, as the library was huge. However, as these two were doing their jobs, suddenly the Golem Megiddo appeared and attacked the kids, Roxy, Blaze, and Aila. The former is doing as best as she can to fight off the Golem Megiddo, while Blaze and Aila ushered the kids to safety.
“Don’t worry, kids, you’ll be safe here.” Blaze reassured them they’ll be okay. “Now, where were we?”
Blaze then used a potion he found on the lobby table as a flashbang grenade to blind the Megiddo, only for him to be knocked back. “Uh, I’ve been doing this for at least a year now. You would think you wouldn’t go and throw a flashbang at point-blank range.”
That’s when Aila used her Spell Circle to summon one of her Abominations, allowing her to save Blaze. “You’ll thank me later, now get him outside.”
And Blaze does so, being able to bring the Golem Megiddo out of the library before it could do any further damage. “You seem to be not scared of my presence.”, remarked the Megiddo. “What made you like this?”
“Well, I’ve had a year’s worth of experience.”, remarked Blaze. “And during that time, I got a bunch of little books with me.” After Roxy arrives, she throws to him the Seiken Swordriver and the Brave Dragon Wonder Ride Book, allowing Blaze to equip the belt.
“Seiken Swordriver!”
Later, Jacob arrives to battle the Golem Megiddo, only to see Blaze open up the Brave Dragon Wonder Ride Book.
“There was once a God Beast possessing a great power that would destroy everything...”
Blaze then inserts the Brave Dragon book and pulls out Kaenken Rekka from the scabbard. “Rekka Battou!”
“Henshin!”
“Brave Dragon~! Rekka Issatsu! Yuki no ryuu to Kaenken Rekka ga majiwaru toki, shinku no tsurugi ga aku wo tsuranuku!”
With Blaze now fully transformed, the Golem Megiddo starts charging at him, only for the former to block his attack. “Looks like I’m putting that experience to good use.” This allowed Blaze to access Kaenken Rekka’s power, but not to its fullest extent.
Eventually, the Golem Megiddo teleported Blaze to a nearby building, wanting a challenge out of him. This ultimately proved to be his undoing, as Blaze was able to use the Storm Eagle Wonder Ride Book to fly off, and used two boomerang constructs to stun the Golem Megiddo. However, this caused him to use his Wonder Ride Book, allowing him to grow twice his size.
Aila later arrives outside, summoning one of her Abominations to aid Blaze, who reverted to Brave Dragon to fight back. With the Megiddo finally weakened, Blaze sheathes Kaenken Rekka and presses the trigger.
“Hissatsu Dokuha!”
Blaze then pulls out Kaenken Rekka again to activate the finisher, gaining the power needed to slay the Megiddo.
“Rekka Battou! Dragon! Issatsu Giri! Fire!”
With this power, Blaze landed three slashes on the Golem Megiddo, and was able to slay him after the fourth slash. He now feels exhausted from the battle, later closing the Brave Dragon book and removing it, detransforming as he does so.
“How are the kids, Roxy?”, asked Blaze.
“Oh, they’re fine, Blaze.” She replied.
Later that day…
As Blaze and Roxy tidy up the library, Aila approached them, returning the book that they gave her. “You know Kaenken Rekka pretty well.” She commented. “I never saw someone as skilled with the sword as you are.”
“Well, I had a year’s worth of experience with Rekka.”, replied Blaze. “Not to mention I know who the Megiddo are, since they’ve popping up for quite some time.”
“I think it’s about time I told you who I really am.” Aila then removes her hood, and pulled out her hair, revealing herself to be none other than Amity Blight. “Hello Blaze, I’m Amity Blight, leader of the Sword of Logos. I need your help.”
Blaze didn’t believe what he was seeing, and so was Roxy. “Wait, you’re the one who sent those piles of goo to help me?”, asked Blaze.
“Technically, they’re called Abominations, but yes, I helped you in that battle.”, replied Amity. “Anyway, I need to leave.” She then pulls out her Book Gate, and returns to the SoL base, but not before bidding the two farewell and told Blaze that if he could come to a decision before, he could go.
As Amity leaves, a book in one of the shelves started glowing, which caught Roxy’s attention. “Uh, Blaze. You might want to look at this.” This led to the two reading the very first page, which involved Wonder World’s creation. Later, it was revealed to be the Great Book, and it gave Blaze his Book Gate, which allows him to enter Wonder World.
“Well, Roxy, we have a whole new journey ahead of us.”, assured Blaze. “Prepare yourself. Who knows what threats we’ll face next.”
