Chapter Text
This is the story of how Race died.
Well, almost. He got fairly close to it, but it never quite seemed to stick. It didn’t stick when he was born. It didn't stick when he was kidnapped a month later. And it didn’t stick when he had a dagger to his throat. (But that’s beside the point.)
The story goes like this:
Race is a long lost prince locked away in a tower. A devilishly handsome heroine rescues him, albeit reluctantly. In the end, Race has an epic romance and falls in love in the most dramatic way possible.
Maybe you’ve heard this tale before. But really, it’s quite different than what you’re imagining. This time, no one is looking for the long lost prince; he’s thought to be dead. The devilishly handsome heroine is rather bothersome and has the tendency to fall for far worse criminals than himself. Race has an epic romance, but it’s with the one person everyone else wants to kill. Even more than the devilishly handsome heroine.
So yes, you have heard this story before. But then again, you really haven’t. Not like this.
