My brother had a mission and I had a mission of my own. I just never thought it would end like this. That our goodbye before our mission was the last time that we would see each other. Our last goodbye. Right before Cassian Andor left with Jyn Erso to find her father, I was given a mission to rendezvous on Alderran with Princess Leia Organa to be het bodyguard of sorts for the near future. Cassian... The planet... it's gone. My brother... he's dead. Everything I had... is gone.
"Your brother knew what being apart of the rebellion meant, [Y/N], but it doesn't," Princess Leia let out a sigh, "mean that you shouldn't cry. He was your family. I would cry if anyone of my family met their end like your brother did."
"Thank you, princess." I nodded at her.
"What have I been telling you for the past week? You can call me Leia, [Y/N]. We've been friends since we both joined the rebellion." the brunette haired beauty told me.
But I couldn't do that. She was royalty. I should call her as such. Not like we were equals. Because we as sure were not. The only thing wr had in common was this rebellion against the empire. And the next thing I knew, chaos emerged aboard the ship as a ship, Darth Vader's ship, latched onto us and the emperor's apprentice Darth Vader himself came aboard. I made a beeline for the escape pods.
But what about Leia?? They weren't here for me. They were here for the Death Star plans. That we had gotten. My brother's final mission. Oh. Fuck it! I ran off through the ship sesrching for my friend, but I only found R2 who beeped and bleeped at me to go. Run. I have it. He placed a copy on my cyberwatch. Run. Get away. Run. Back to my original plan then I guess. I ran towards the escape pods and hooked my watch to the interface that controlled the sensors.
I just had to turn it off to not let them follow after me. I couldn't let them get to me if R2 deleted his copy of the plans. I was the rebellion's last hope. Last Hope. A term that I had none of anymore. I turned the signal offline and hopped in and ejected the pod. Unfortunately when you turn one system offline, some othets turn offline as well. And that was my problem.
So I crash landed on the desert planet of tatooine.
