Summary:
The feel of sunlight shining against his face may be one of the things Zhou Zishu will miss the most as his sense of touch slowly fades.
He’s been feeling colder and colder these days, and the fingers in his left hand are numb more often than not. It’s been shaking more than usual too. Curling it into a fist and hiding it behind him has become habit at this point.
He spends the entire morning enjoying the sun beside Wen Kexing as they watch over Zhang Chengling’s training. Zhou Zishu sits with his back straight and properly cross legged while Wen Kexing is leaning back against a wooden post, regularly taking sips from his flask of wine, as he watches Zhang Chengling with amused eyes and occasionally gives Zhou Zishu a playful nudge with his foot.
Zhou Zishu's senses are failing him. He learns to treasure the small moments of warmth he has left.

Well... This has been... A journey. This was probably too ambitious for a second project but I just love this fic so much, I couldn't get it out of my head. I hope I did it justice. I am SO sorry about ZZS's voice, though. I did NOT go for haughty but uhm yeah... there comes a point when I have to stop re-recording.
