The emotions I felt while reading this fic reminded me of Tempo Rubato from Spodumene, even though the premise and storyline are very different. I will definitely consider this fic among my favorites!

What a wonderful fic! I loved the premise, the characterizations, the level of detail, and yes, especially the notes.

I will admit to being fond of the fanon version(s) of WWX, but hyper-competent, BAMF WWX is ... *fans self* ... yeah. I enjoyed how well the author articulated their analysis of the novel character, and I also got the sense that what wasn't specifically said, thought, or narrated was sometimes as important as what was spelled out. For example, the scene where his -spoiler-: It was well established by that point that, for all his outgoing nature, WWX was very deliberate in what parts of himself he showed to the world. That one little "oh" spoke volumes.

I always love the juniors and am glad that Ouyang Zizhen was included in the group, even if he was off-screen.

The issues around ethics, consent, legal status, money, etc. were really thought-provoking. This story does a fantastic job of making even the most horrifying behaviors extremely plausible. I kind of hated that I empathized with why LXC and LQR did what they did, because it's a lot easier to just judge from the outside and believe that I would never.

Thank you to the author for sharing as much as you did about, well, everything. I learned a lot, and that's always fun.

I could immerse myself in this universe for 1,000,000 more words!

A delightful mix of humor and horror, with family feels and a sprinkling of angst at just the right spots.

    Bookmarker's Notes

This series is wonderful, definitely one I will come back to again and again. There is amazing intricacy in the tangled combination of time travel and reincarnation. I love how the author blends MDZS' magic system with science fiction to create something new. And although the emotional journey is intense at times, there are also so many lovely moments of joy and love.

He lay there buried under rabbit ears of wires, warmed by a thin blanket, breathing, breathing, never truly still, but never animated, either.

“A-Xian,” Jiang-gugu said with a forced smile. “Your son and husband are here to see you. And your nephew too. He will be coming very soon.”

A-Yuan ran up to Baba and held his hand.

    ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
I don't even know where to start!

I was enthralled by Sizhui's narration. The author gave him such a beautiful mind. I especially loved those little observations that demonstrated his unending and also unconcious kindness and empathy.

The skilled way the author managed and portrayed so many complex relationships reminded me of plate spinning: graceful, suspenseful, finely tuned. Every character was nuanced, every interaction contributed towards the story's goal.

I'm all for traveling all over the timeline, but holy crap was I grabbed when Yanli [did something spoilery], *and then I was catapulted backwards several years*. Aaaack!

The entire journey through modern Chinese history was amazing.
