Chapter Text

The day came.

The day where the White Star faced a problem.

Of course it was not the first time, he had to go through many hardships to archive his goal to become a god as he didn't reach it yet many more challenges would come in the future.

But this one was different. It was much more differcult than he ever had experience. The White Star didn't even know what the problem is but he knew there was one.

White Star sighed heavently, stand up from the chair was sitting on to look out the castle's window from Endable.

Endable was now in ruin and empty after the fights and sacrifices they made. It didn't matter since The White Star never cared about this city, it was only build for one propose which was fullfilled, not in the way he imagended but a success was a success, he couldn't complain and it actually went pretty smothly.

Well, till his destined enemy came in his way to prevent his plan.

Cale Henituse

Also this wasn't the first where Cale and his people destroyed one of White Star's plans. Even when it was painful and lost many resourcess, he always had another plan in his sleeves.

But even when he had a new scheme, Cale was ready to hinder it with all cost.

This wasn't an issue, he still had many ways to become a god, since he lived such long life he had learned most from his mistakes than from the success and is able to always find new ways or solutions.

After he got 1000 years old, the White Star thought all the hitches would be similar to the ones in the past but he was wrong.

After so many years he was wrong.

He knew how everything on this world never stop developing, even if you live more than 1000 years, you will always learn something new... just this one, he never expected to face such problem.
He always knew he would have to deal with powerful beings standing in his way and he always had to fight them but he didn't know it will come to this.

It all started when he was in Puzzle City to watch Cale Henituse and his people to defeat this monster who guarded the seal of a god and also watch their every movements.

He even found an earth ancient power what was perfect to watch Cale without getting noticed.

He couldn't believe how lucky he was to find a trace about this power. It was very hidden power, you couldn't find it anywhere with the help of ancient history like the other two earth ancient powers. Well, it didn't mean those to were easy to find either but ou had more traces than the other one.
He couldn't remember ever find a record of it before, it really was very hidden.

And the best thing was, Cale Henituse couldn't know of this power and had no ideas how the White Star was actually close to him. Everything was just perfect.

He could watch every move they made and this was the problem or at least this is were the problem began.

Of course Cale Henituse was the source of this issue.

Not that he try to hinder his plan like always, of course where he watched him, Cale tried it again but that was not the main issue!

He could see him from the other side. It was not Cale Henituse who always had a smirk on his face and try to mock him.

He could see many different expressions on his face when he was with his friends and that was a little bit disturbing.

It was okay to see him thinking or suprised, it was weird but not something that new.

White Star remembered the time when he found out Cale is a transmitter, his suprised face was similar to this one he saw now. It wasn't that satisfying like the last of course as he was not the reason for Cale being suprised.

Just thinking about made him feel weird. What is strange, he didn't care back then but why now? Was is because he wasn't the reason for Cale to act like this?

Seeing him like this more often, would indeed make him feel better, maybe he must put more efforts in his next plans?

Anyway...

He felt odd after he saw Cale worried, the face he made was new to him.

Or was it?

Yes, when they first met. He made the same expression, even told his friends to flee. Awww, what to do to see this kind if event again? Seeing Cale this in panic, it would be even greater than see him confused or suprised.

'To let this happen, i must really put good thoughts into my next plan.'

But first he need to get ride of this obstacle he has right now.

Even the worried or paniced expression wasn't the trigger.

It was when he smiled. The White Star saw already many different smiles from Cale but all those were to make fun of him.

This one was a genuine smile. One he would never make in front of the White Star.

When the White Star saw it the first time, his heart seemed to skip a beat and then it started to race in a quick speed. He also could feel the heat in his body rising.

The White Star was confused, he forgot a moment what he was here for.

He forgot his entire mission.

This mission was one of the most importen, a big step to fullfil his dream and yet he forget for some seconds, just because of a mere smile?

And this is where he hits the wall.

'It cant be a simple smile, it something else I saw at the same time but what?'

Finally after hours of thinking he gave up and called for help. White Star called Sayeru, someone he believed to know what the solution of this situation could be.

"You called, my liege?"

Sayeru didn't get much informations for what his liege called him for, he was use to it, there was never a time where he got more detail informations not after he was alone with his liege.

He made a bow to show of his loyality to the White Star and didn't lift up his head until he spook.

"Yes, I called for you because I need your help with something."

"And what may that be?"

The way the White Star asked him was new, his liege never used to word "help", something was off but he didn't dare to mention this. He just raised his eye brows to show his curiosity.

"Its about Cale Henituse."

Sayeru isn't suprised when he mentioned this bastard, they often talked about him since he was a big obstacle, it was only natural.

Always finding new ways to stop and kill him after another plan failed.

Sayeru expected it would be one of those talks again.

The White Star who was still near the window moved back to his desk, removed some dust before he sat down on his chair and continued to speak.

"When i was near him, i felt....something different."

Sayeru was taken aback.

"I think a need more details my liege."

Sayeru could see the complicated expression his liege. The White Star was having trouble to explain something? This never happend before. He always knew what to do. There was no way that Cale Henituse could give the White Star such a hard time.

Silent came in and Sayeru didn't like this atmosphere.

His liege often came with theories about Cale Henituse that could be called nonsense. Some of them were too far fetched for Sayeru to even believe.

But even those theories came out his mouth as it was an obviously fact.

It was weird to see his liege this silent, in the end Sayeru decided to wait. There was nothing he could do more, it was actually his only option.

After some time the silent broke and the White Star started to talk.

"Mhmm...I just felt odd when i saw Cale last time, my heart began to race and i could feeled this heat un my body rising, I think even began to shake?"

Even now the White Star had problems to explain the situation he was in.

'What?!'

But Sayeru didn't notice how his liege had trouble to speak, he was speechless from what he heard. He never knew the White Star could feel such things because of the curse.

Could it be the curse was weaken? Did his liege start to have emotions?

"....maybe it was anger you felt?"

What else could his liege had feel when he saw Cale?

"Anger...? I am not familiar with such things, could you feel angry just by seeing the enemy smile genuine?"

To be able feel for the first time after a long time, could confuse someone. The White Star didn't feel any strong feelings since 1000 years. It only made sense to question it.

"Yes, he is our enemy, he wouldn't be if we don't hate him and get angry over little positive feelings he feels."

For Sayeru it was a simple explanation. How could you like someone who always got in your way and smirk like a devil when they success. Just thinking about what Cale and his people had already done, Sayeru wanted rip them appart.

Just for the White Star is it different. He hates when his plans failed because of Cale.

But not Cale in general. The White Star had hardly any enemies in those 1000 years, every person who was against him was easy to care take of without anyone noticing. The hardships back than were to get all the ressources and allies he needed. Like building the Endable kingdom what turned to dust.

'When I think about this... life became more entertaining after Cale Henituse appeared.'

He loved to see Cale's complicated face, finding more out about him. The White Star wanted to know how Cale could stay all the years hidden and why he showed himself all of the sudden.

Cale was also smart, the White Star had to use his head everytime he encountered this noble and it was fun, it was frustrating sometimes to see his smirk after he won but it thousand better when the White Star turned the event and could see how Cale's mocking smile dissapear.

"No, it can't be hate."

The White Star was sure, if Cale died the world would lose it's color... it would be boring and...?

'Weird...'

Suddenly it was hard to breath for White Star and his chest also hurts, he never was like this before. This pain was much more painfuller than all the other he felt before, it did not much physically, his soul was in pain not his body. In end he ignored. He felt pain all the time because of the curse, it seemed like the curse found a new idea to let him feel worse.

Meanwhile Sayeru was confused.

"It's not hate?"

His liege only nodded to his question as he was lost in thoughts.

"...maybe you are jealous of him?"

Sayeru wanted to slap himself, why would be the White Star jealous? He had a another idea but this was more ridiculous so only jealousy was left.

The White Star looked at Sayeru. The bear was ready to lose one of his arm for asking and closed his eyes, only to noticed nothing happend.

'N-no way?'

He opened up his eyes again to see his liege thinking again.

'Jealous...mmmhm.'

Actually no way, Cale might have many things and strong allies but also had the White Star.

He was ready to shake Sayeru idea but then he remembered an event.

The time when Cale was taken by the sealed god. Back then the White Star was angry and shooked.

'How does the sealed god dare to take Cale?'

Three month... he had to watch three how Cale was lock in a black orb and not able to kill him.

Also he hated every single moment when someone interfered the fight between him and Cale so they could protect him from the White Star.

That was the moment when he noticed, Cale wasn't the one he was jealous of but the others around him.

'How come they always get in the way and try to save him?!'

And how they looked worried about Cale and took him away somewhere safe.

"Sayeru you are right, I am jealous but not of Cale, the ones around him are the problems. How dare they to touch him."

The bear king didn't lose his arm or leg... he recieved something worse.

"I'm sorry, could you repeat? I think I didn't hear it correctly."

Sayeru tried to calm down, saying he just heard it wrong.

"I'm jealous of his allies, always getting in the way,, now when I think about it, they recive his irretated face more often than I do."

The White Star's face became dark and Sayeru wished how he lost his arm instead of hearing this.

"What's wrong? You look so nervous."

Sayeru was sweating heavy. He knew what was wrong and he didn't know how to explain it.

"...Sayeru you know something, speak."

The bear king's death was near. He never expected to die like this. Dying in a fight for his liege would be better and honorable, guess that was it, he has no choice but to say it.

He took one last deep breath and...

"Barrow... you are in love."

"Barrow... you are in love."

Silents took over the whole room for a while as his liege was sure he was hearing wrong.

But his expression didnt change even one bit, you couldn't tell what the White Star was thinking now.

He was sitting on his chair as before, he didn't move a single muscle. No body part shoke nor his eye lids twitched to show a suprised feeling. It was like Sayeru told him something obvious and wasted his precious time. Anyone who would come right would think that both were planning a new strategy for their move.

What would their allies do when they hear about their liege falling in love expectedly Cale Henituse.

What if he throws his 1000 years of planning away, just for Cale. Sayer knew how strong and stupid love could be.

'Never underestimate strong bounds.'

The bear king didn't need to live 1000 years to learn this fact. He often saw by himself how much a bound coild change someone and make them stronger and make them able to overcome their limits.

Again the enemies name came into head as he thought about an example. Cale Henituse, he wouldn't be so strong without the bounds he had with his allies.

Without his friends, Cale could only defeat some weaker Arm members, Sayeru was sure, Cale was not able to defeat alone even with his ancient powers as he was weak, not only his body but also his plate.

'Could be even weaker than mine...'

They should have tried to seprate Cale from his group like back then in the Caro kingdom, taking care of Cale and then the rest of his group. Without their leader they would become lost bees..

But they can't make illusion like Elisneh, finding a new one wouldn't be hard but Sayeru doubt the same trick would again. They needed something else.

'Maybe we should-'

Sayeru didn't finshed his thought as he noticed the change of atmosphere.

How could he forgot what he just told his liege?! He was making ideas how to kill Cale while his liege fell in love with him!

Sayeru started to sweat heavily. The air seemed like to get hotter and hotter

'Is the White Star angry?'

The bear could feel fear and stepped two steps back if he left the room, he would die.

Sayeru looked at the White Star, expecting the worst. He can feel sweat running down his forehead. His liege was the only one who could made Sayeru feel anxiety. He never felt less fear since the first meeting, not only his strenght makes him scary but also his mind.

It is to be expected to fear someone who lived 1000 years and witness death mutiple times but this anxiety is what gives him strenght. Everytime he fought, he had to choose, fight against the White Stars enemy or fight against the White Star. Of course he would chose the enemy as they are much weaker than his liege and much less terrifying, so this anxiety also give him strenght, he could often over his limits.

But now this could be the time where Sayeru became the White Star's enemy just by saying that his liege fell in love.

It was the best choice to just wait till his liege made a move, maybe the event turned out to be different.

While thinking how to get out safetly the White Star opend his mouth.

"T, this can not be. It is impossible for me to fall in love and if I do... then the person i love would die."

As the White Star spoke, the bear king could see how his ear became a little.

Sayeru was suprised in his liege, he didn't expect that he would stutter even less that he would blush.

'Wait, is the rising of the heat because he is flustered?'

This was a completly new side of his liege. Sayeru believed the White Star's heart was made of ice and no one could melt.

Now that he thought about it, how hard must it be to never get attached?

How hard was it to see the loved ones die one by one after he recieved the curse. Sayeru never really thought about it.

It would be a horror to witness the same event again.

Cale deaths is something beneficial for arm and for his liege, a huge obstacle would be removed, only Cale's allies could stop them but losing Cale would weaken them as they had to accept his death first.

"Its.... Its the only option we have left, my liege. Y, you said its not anger nor jealousy so it have to be love."

Sayeru had troubles to say those words, making him to also stutter. Fuck he would never expect to be like this nor to encounter such situation.

The White Star's expression changed, his eyes widen and his pupils shoke, his ears were reder than before. He looked around the room, you could tell he tried to find an excuse to mark this statement wrong.

Seeing this, showed how it would also weaken them after Cale's death. What would happen to his liege? How would he react? Would he also mourn his death?

Most likely yes... if his liege could easly overcome a loved ones death then the copy of his village were not here. If the White Star never loved this place then he would have never build a copy.

He must have loved this place and his family.

'Guess we must be prepared in what comes next and must take the biggest step.'

Sayeru let out a deep sigh before he spoke.

"Barrow... getting jealous over Cale's allies because they can be near him and they can see more of Cale than you do, its one of a sign that you are in love."

The White Star wanted to open his mouth to protest but Sayeru continued speaken.

"If you still disagree, then tell me how often do you think of Cale Henituse? Do have the desire to touch him, feel his warm? And do you want to keep him for yourself?"

After hearing how angry his liege was because the sealed god took him once, made Sayeru sure... his liege felt in love.

He watched the White Star reaction, his face didn't change much, it didn't show suprised nor shocked like he was never shoked in the first place but the bear king knew how good his liege was in acting.

'Will he be honest and tell the true or will he hide his feelings and lie?'

Being a coward and lie wasn't like his liege even in such situation. The whole time the White Star never broke eye contact, he always looked right at Sayeru. He didn't change his posture, sitting upright with a strong aura, so strong others wouldn't even dare to speak in front of him. Like a king should be, not getting irretated just because an unknown event.

Sayeru saw how the White Star began to think again and silents took over.

It didn't take long till his liege broke the silents.

"I-, yes... I do want him..."

Sayeru heard how his voice trembled, how his ears turned redder than it already was and his face also started to redden. This sight was new to the bear king, in this moment the strong aura he felt not long ago grew weaker and now his liege also broke eye contact, he looked at his hands and tapped on his desk.

Sayeru had to take all words back what he thought about his liege, it seemed like the White Star was irretated, he was just good in hiding it and when he admited what he felt, he decided just to drop the act.

The White Star realized how much he actually want Cale now, he desired him, he wanted to see all Cale's emotions, wanted to know every secret of him and Cale's attention just directed at him.
He wanted to keep Cale close to him.

The want the White Star felt was as great as the want to become god, no it could be even greater than that.

How came he never realized it was love he felt towards Cale?

He knew they are destined enemies, how fate brought them together and fought against each other.

Yes they are destined enemies but fate didn't want them to become lovers as the the White Star has this curse who killed everyone he was found of.

Did it mean Cale was now dying after the White Star noticed his feelings? Maybe Cale already died without him knowing...

The feelings and thoughts swarmed in the White Star and he couldn't think anymore, he wanted to confirm it right now if Cale Henituse really have died.

The White Star stood up from his chair and went straight to the door without saying a word, Sayeru followed him of course, he knew what his liege plan was, no need to waste more time.

They left Endable and the eastern continent and teleported to the western continent to be more precise they traveled to the Roan kingdom near Rain city where the Henituse territory was, hoping Cale stayed in his parents mansion.

They arried late at night, the moon and stars were shining brightly, houses in the city were all dark as everyone went to sleep, it was the same with the Henituse estate. No one was outside beside some guards, they didn't show any sighns of fatigue. The White Star know those guards were hired from Cale's father to help him against war. A useless act since they were all too weak, White Star would use them as cannon fodder but he knew Cale, he would never do that.

The White Star and Sayeru moved stealthy, their both could kill easily those knights but that was not their goal. The White Star, he had to know if is alive.

He was glad to see the town drowned in silence, he really was. It meant Cale should be still alive, no way they wouldn't notice his leader's suddenly death.

His family and allies would immediately act and would try to find the cause of his death.

Knowing this, made him feel reliefed, he couldn feel how much his body became lighter than before but he still needed to see it with own eyes to made sure everything was fine.

Yes, thats right... he needed to see Cale healthy, he couldn't trust his allies. No way he would want to see him just because, he had other things to do, never would he waste time to watch- no to see one person.

Sayeru watched his liege and shoke his head, he couldn't believe to him in such state, to see him smiling like this. Yes, the White Star was smiling brightly. It was like the night's darkness vanished after seeing his liege's smile.

Not only Sayeru was suprised but also the White Star himself, he touched his own face, thinking he just imagined things but the smile was there. How long had it been since he smiled genuine? He couldn't remember.

"Oi."

Sayeru spoke in a low voice to him, the White Star almost ran into one of the guards as he was lost in thoughts.

In this moment he realized he had to calm down and collect his thoughts. The White Star lived over thousand years and almost made such stupid mistake, They came at halt and the White Star took a deep breath, concentrate and reminded himself his goal.

After this, it didn't take long till they reached the mansion. Of course it was impossible for them to sneak in as they were individuells who would sense them immediately. The only way were to look through the windows and hopefully able to see Cale.

As Cale was a noble and first born son, they guessed he would sleep in one of the highter floors. The climed on the tree nearby and looked in each window where they could see something and as if the sealed god blessed them, they found Cale, sleeping peacefully with the two cat tribe children and the dragon.

He really was still alive and looked healthy, well for Sayeru. The White Star was concerned, for him Cale looked pale and thin. Is he ill? Does he eat properly?

It was probably the first that Sayeru could tell what his liege was thinking only by looking at his face, he was more concerned about the White Star than Cale.

"Barrow, he is fine, Cale always looked like this."

The White Star was taken aback. How could the bear know what he was thinking?

In the end he just brushed it off, he didn't care how Sayeru knew it. It was more importen to know Cale was fine.

Without noticed a smile formed on the White Star's face again. He was too focus on Cale's sleeping face. He didn't know why, maybe because it was the first time seeing Cale sleeping?

His heart began to race again like before and his body felt warm. It was a good feeling, he wouldn't mind to watch Cale forever.

'Maybe no one will notice if I move stealthy in his room, I want to take a closer look and maybe-'

The White Star stopped himself from thinking. Such stupid idea. He couldn't understand himself. Why did he want to see Cale so much and why did he want to get so close to him? He is just sleeping!

Then again he saw Cale how cute he looked in his sleep and the way he cuddled his dragon.... jealousy rose up, he wanted to throw this dragon from the bed and take his place.

He shook his head and cleared his thoughts. He needed to focus. How could he think that his enemy was cute? He was definitely not cute!

'No, he isn't cute at all, at second gaze he is even more adorab-'

SLAP!

the White Star slapped himself for thinking like this again.

It wasn't importen if Cale was cute, he should find out why Cale didn't die yet. The curse should have killed him a long time ago.

Feeling all those things were impossible, he knew it. Yet here he was, being happy to saw Cale in his sleep.

'Why is he alive?'

Was it because, they are fated to be enemies... no maybe fated to be lovers? Maybe destiny wanted them to be together?

The White Star shook his head again.

'What stupid thought...'

He actually wanted to believe the theory. How great would it be if their love was destined? Recived the curse only to be able to met Cale.

But then he remembered the blessing Cale recived from god.

'Is this blessing preventing him from dying through my curse?'

It was the only explanation he came up with and it made sense. The blessing Cale got must be from the god of death and the god could be the reason why Cale could posses another person body.

A god by themself couldn't interfere the matters among mortals, they had to chose someone and that someone was Cale Henituse as it seemed.

Fate must have planned everything, it couldn't be conicidence, yes fate wanted it and the White Star was thankful, he only made benefits out of this.

He looked through Cale's window again, seeing the sleeping beauty and smiled, this time on propose.

'I will make him mine, I will make him to fall in love with me too and then become god.'

His heart started beating fast again. The White Star felt excited, he felt excited for the first time after a long time.

"Sayeru let's go back, its time to make a plan."

Sayeru only nodded and they left Rain city.

The White Star was thrilled, he felt like this when he broke the promise with the dragon lord and stole her eggs.

No, it was even better, like nothing could stop him now, as if the world was already kneeling before him and greeted its new ruler.

'I see, i needed Cale all the time to become the ruler of this world.'

Cale Henituse was never meant to be his fated enemie but lover, the White Star just didn't notice.

Now that he knew, everything shall change.

Chapter Text

The White Star finally solved the problem about his fated enemy-, no fated lover-to-be Cale Henituse, only to meet another problem.

'I never dated nor confessed to anyone before.'

He didn't know what to do and started to blush.Since this time the White Star didn't wear his mask, Sayeru, who was with him, could see his fully red face, which made him look ridiculous.

The bear king didn’t know what his liege was thinking, he only knew it can be nothing good.

'Is he really stuck with the idea to date Cale Henituse?'

Just what did the world become? Sayeru wished his liege was fighting to forget his newfound love and continued with his actual goal of becoming a god.

Would his liege even continue to reach his goal? Barrow would never be able to fulfill both if he wanted Cale to accept him as a lover.

Even if his liege turned his back to become god just to be with Cale, there is no way that after all of what his liege has done, Cale would date him. They were enemies for a reason.

The bear king was about to speak when he noticed something.

In the room. There was a mirror to the side of his liege, and this liege of him was currently looking in the mirror as if he was checking his face and then began to make some poses. He then murmured something, but it was loud enough for Sayeru to hear.

"This body is quite handsome, so the appearance shouldn't be a problem."

Sayeru wanted to scoff, is this really the liege he knew? He needed to do something.

"My liege, I think it's better to plan the next step-"

He wanted to say more but couldn't finish his sentence as the White Star suddenly started to speak.

"Of course, I'm already thinking about it...I just have some...difficulties."

He sounded so vulnerable, so unlike his usual self.

'He is thinking about our plan and not about Cale Henituse right?'

Suspicions aside, he just needed to ask what the White Star was talking about.

"It’s unusual for you to have difficulties, Barrow. Well, it's Cale Henituse we are speaking about. You are not alone in this, I may not be as brilliant as you but maybe I can help. What seems to be the problem, my liege?"

Just when he finished the sentence, Sayeru regretted mentioning their enemy. What if White Star lost track again?

The White Star's face turned serious. It was a sign of hope for the Bear king, a sign that could mean that they might continue to turn the White Star into a god.

That hope was shattered quickly.

"Say, have you ever dated someone before?"

It was an honest question.He could see some little sparkles in his liege’s eyes. He looked so much more alive and even cute...

The face his liege made was impossible for Sayeru to not answer his question.

He was about to lie and say he never dated then he realized.

'What if he asks Dorph next or maybe someone else?'

There is no way he would let this happen.

"Yes, when I was younger."

He dated a lot back then, he would use his title as the future Bear King to attract women.

'None of them turned out to be true love though...'

But in the end, what's the difference? The women were head over heels for him, it should be enough to give his liege some advice.

Maybe after he gives him advice and all of them fail, then his liege would stop.

Sayer really couldn't help it, he knew Barrow for many years. Even if Barrow didn't care about him, Sayeru wanted to see his liege happy.

'Damn it, guess I'm really about to help him.'

But he would make sure the plan about becoming god and rule over the world wouldn’t change.

Meanwhile, his liege had sparkles in his eyes and even stood up from his chair. Barrow looks like a little kid.

"Really? How did you ask them out?"

The bear king didn't expect such a joyful reaction.

'Just how much can love change someone?'

He took a deep breath and tried to remember what he did to win a woman’s heart in the past.

He gave flowers and other presents, also showed his well-built body filled with muscles and scars he was proud of, took advantage of his future king title, flirted with her, and sent some winks in her direction.

'That’s....'

Everything was embarrassing

He remembered how he used lines like "Do you have a map? Because I keep getting lost in your eyes." or "Do you like bananas? Because I find you a-peeling."

Sayeru thought he was good at dating girls but now he recalled his memories, he saw more disgusted looks instead of smiles on their faces.

'I want to travel to the past and punch myself hard, no wonder I don't have a wife.'

The bear king began to sweat, not because of all those awful memories but because his liege is waiting for advice.

"Sayeru what is it? Having trouble remembering?"

He was fucked.

"A-ah no. I just have trouble choosing, you know Cale Henituse is a special case."

Sayeru needed to buy time, maybe somehow geta book about how to date your enemy.

Minutes passed by and the White Star was getting impatient. Tapping on the table, he began to ask.

"Sayeru, did you lie? Do you think that this is all a joke?"

His liege's voice was angry. The room temperature was getting hotter each second. Was the White Star about to summon his fire sword?

Thankfully, Sayeru came up with an idea.

"No! It's just hard to explain. Cale is your enemy, so all those flir- I mean dating ideas I have are not working and-"

Before Sayeru could even continue his liege interrupted.

“You are saying that I should give up? Hmm? That it’s impossible?!”

The situation had gotten worse.

'Damn this communication thing and all those misunderstandings!'

"That is not what I want to say."

It seemed like the White Star calmed down, as he began to relax and lean against the desk. He closed his eyes and looked away from the Bear king. He puffed his mouth a bit... like he was pouting? Why?

"Continue."

The White Star gave a short look at Sayeru but then looked away again.

'Is there any need to act like this? He is like a child.'

Putting his thoughts away Sayeru continued.

"I'll make it short. The best option is to kidnap Cale Henituse."

It's the best option they have. Meeting Cale will always end in a fight with him and his friends, there is no way Cale would fall in love with his liege on the battlefield.

But his liege didn't seem to like this idea.

"How should he fall for me if I'm going to imprison him?"

To be honest, Sayeru thought the White Star would agree.

"E-ehm, Cale's allies wouldn't allow you to meet Cale, they will stand in your way and the next problem is they all already have a deep relationship with him. You need to take him away from them and give all your attention to Cale, which is also impossible if Cale is not near you."

Those words made the White Star think. It would be nice to have Cale always around without those annoying pests and he could do what he wanted.

Still, he wouldn't like it if Cale began to hate him for taking all his friends and freedom away. He was about to say something but Sayeru continued.

"Also if you give Cale many gifts and your time, he will fall in love with you. There is this thing called Stockholm Syndrome."

This grabbed White Star’s attention, he looked at Sayeru again with curiosity like his liege never actually heard of it.

'Didn't he read books even in his childhood?'

His liege was already obsessed with the idea of becoming a god since he was a kid. Where else would he get such an idea? Kids dream big and his liege was crazy and powerful enough to make this dream reality... well, soon.

So Sayeru explained to his liege what he missed.

"It happens when a person gets kidnapped, they develop sympathy towards their kidnapper. Of course, it won’t happen if you let them talk to others or treat them badly. All you need to do is to lock Cale away from the world and treat him nicely. It might take time, but he will begin to love you for sure!"

Sayeru's voice got softer as he went on, he was convincing himself as much as he was trying to convince his liege.

White Star followed every word and nodded excitedly.

There was nothing he could say against the idea. It sounded perfect. With Cale Henituse in his hands, he could give him everything. Saying sweet words and handing him out the best gifts... of course, he needed Sayeru's help as he didn't know what to give but this wouldn't be a problem since the Bear king was on his side and ready to help him.

"Good! Sayeru, let's begin with our plan in abducting Cale Henituse!"

Sayeru sighed in relief, he could live another day.
