Elliot was pacing around the room, worried that he’ll forget something important. Tyrell was looking at him from where he was seated on the couch.
You see, they were packing for a really important trip to Sweden together. They were going to stay in a cozy cabin near Tyrell’s hometown. Tyrell wanted it to be a surprise, but Elliot caught him browsing cabins to stay in and made a big deal out of it for not telling him.
“Elliot, sit down, here” Tyrell said, patting a spot next to him. Elliot sat down letting out a sigh. As a matter of fact, he was nervous because he was going to finally meet Tyrell’s parents. He was dreading it, considering he had bad social anxiety. All the “what ifs” were clouding his mind, preventing him from fully being excited about this trip. It made him distraught. Elliot pulled down his hood and ran his hand through his hair out of habit.
“Sorry babe, but I just can’t focus today. Can we go to the airport now?” Elliot sighed once again and looked Tyrell’s way.
“Yeah, of course honey, we should probably get going anyway.” The taller one answered, getting up. He reached his hand out to Elliot and helped him get up.
“I’m going to use the bathroom before we go out, you know how my bladder can get” Elliot blurted out. Tyrell smiled approvingly.
Elliot shut the bathroom door behind him and took a quick glance at himself in the mirror. He looked back down and was about to do his business when…
“Hello kiddo! Goin’ somewhere?” A too familiar voice said. He heard it so many times, yet he was startled every single time.
“Look, please, can you disappear for a week? This trip is really important to me and I don’t want you to ruin it.” Elliot said, sounding straightforward. He didn’t have motivation to deal with Mr. Robot’s shenanigans at the moment, he had a country to visit and he was hoping that the annoying man would leave him for a week.
“You goin’ on an adventure with your little toy?” Mr. Robot uttered and leaned on a sink. Just seeing him made Elliot’s blood boil. He was tolerable most days, but today the boy didn’t wish to see him. He ignored him, hoping the brown-haired man would disappear. Elliot decided to do his business and get back to Tyrell.
Meanwhile, the Swedish man was placing their bags in the hall. He was dressed in his usual attire - black suit with a blue tie, he liked to stay classy, even outside his job at E Corp.
He is planning to propose to Elliot in Sweden on their last day there, when they’re going to go visit his parents. He is as anxious as Elliot, he just knows how to hide it better.
Elliot went to the hall room where Tyrell was standing along with their bags. He smiled at his stunning boyfriend. He stood on his tippy toes and kissed Tyrell’s plump lips.
“Shall we go?” Tyrell commented sheepishly.
“Yeah, I still think we forgot something though.” Elliot grimaced.
“Jeez Elliot, I am so glad we are going on this vacation. I am sure we’re fine, honey.” Tyrell let out a laugh and Elliot smiled embarrassingly.
“Okay, okay we’re leaving, but if we forget anything, it’s on you, you Swedish cocksucker” Elliot said.
“Here’s your coat” he passed the coat over to Elliot and put on one too.

They were currently in a rented car, about to arrive at the lovely cabin. It was snowing a lot and Elliot was looking outside at the view like a 5-year-old child. He was smiling every now and then. Tyrell looked in the rear-view mirror and saw Elliot excitedly bouncing his leg. He loved the hooded boy so much, he was his whole world.
“We’re almost there, älskling” Tyrell announced, looking at the GPS.
After a few minutes, they were parking next to the small wooden house. Elliot was really excited, he wasn’t anxious anymore and he wanted nothing more than to go ice skating with Tyrell.
“Let’s leave the bags in the car for now and check out the house, shall we?”
“Yeah, come on!” Elliot jumped out the car, took Tyrell’s hand in his own and ran towards the cabin.
“Slow down, you’re gonna outrun the wind.” Tyrell laughed.
Tyrell entered the code to the door that the owner sent him and fortunately the door has opened. He pushed them and revealed the inside of the cabin, which was absolutely ravishing.
Elliot and Tyrell took off their muddy shoes and began exploring. The house was fairly small, but that is exactly what they wanted. Elliot saw the bed and immediately jumped on it.
“Elliot! Don’t break the bed.” Tyrell exclaimed and smiled.
“Oh, so now you think I am heavy?” Elliot laughed and jumped into Tyrell’s arms from the bed. “Careful, I might break your bones because of how heavy I am.” He kissed Tyrell’s forehead and giggled. “Now, put me down.” Elliot said and tried to wiggle his way out of his boyfriend's arms.
“No way, you’re mine now” Tyrell ran around the cabin with Elliot screaming in his arms while he laughed uncontrollably. After a while, he put him down and collapsed onto the couch. Elliot followed.
“Sooo, when are we going ice skating?” Elliot said cutely. Yesterday, he was all anxious and gloomy while now he was thrilled and worked up.
“We just got here Elliot, give us time to accommodate.” Tyrell sighed.
“I really really really wanna go now though”
“First, we should probably eat.” Tyrell said like a responsible adult that he is.
“Who needs food when you have snowy Sweden outside your window??” Elliot said defensively and got up, leaving the room.
“Where are you going?” Tyrell got up too and jogged up to Elliot.
“I’m gonna go into the corner and cry until you take me ice skating.” The shorter man said and faced away from Tyrell. Tyrell bit the inside of his cheek and let out a grunt.
“Okay, okay we can go ice skating, just please eat this at least” Tyrell handed him a granola bar. Instead of taking it, Elliot hugged him tightly and murmured “I love you” to which Tyrell replied with “I’ll kill you”.
“You’re acting like a man-child”
“Oh stupid little Tyrell, I AM very much a man-child, thank you. Now, give me the granola bar and we can go.” Tyrell mentally face palmed and pulled up their suitcase. He slowly opened it.
“Uh oh” Tyrell said nervously.
“What is it?” Elliot urged, suddenly not so bubbly.
“I think I forgot to pack our skates”
“WHAT? No, no, no, no I made sure they were there, I even…” He was quickly interrupted by Tyrell.
“I’m just joking honey, I’m just messing with you.” Tyrell chimed in, showing Elliot their ice skates. Elliot stomped and let out a grunt.
“Fuck! You’re dumb and I hate you.” Elliot said, trying to seem tough and angry. Tyrell burst out laughing, the tan-skinned boy stood there irritated. He loved how Tyrell’s eyes lit up when he laughed.
“You look adorable when you’re angry, like a little puppy.” Tyrell said through the countless laughs that were still escaping his body.
“You can stop laughing now, you Swedish jerk”

While Elliot was getting dressed up, putting on his hat and scarf, Tyrell was thinking. Overthinking. He was really concerned about the ice. He wasn’t sure if it was already frozen, so he made a mental note to check the ice before they both rode on it. He was sweating, mostly from the thick layers of clothes, but also from anxiety.
“You ready, babe?” Elliot woke him from a trance.
“Yeah, grab your skates and go” They grabbed their skates and headed outside. Tyrell closed the door and sighed. Elliot was smiling widely, it was quite unnatural to see him happy this much.
“It’s freezing.” Elliot shuddered and cuddled closer to Tyrell to heat his body up. The Swedish boy put his arm around Elliot and they began their quick walk from their cabin to the frozen lake.
“Look!” Elliot pointed into the forest. Tyrell blinked, he couldn’t see anything special there.
“What is it darling?” Tyrell asked.
“Look closely, there’s a deer hiding behind a tree!” Tyrell looked again and finally saw what appeared to be a brown deer. It was eating grass and looking around. “Do you see it?” Elliot said loudly, which made the deer run away. He frowned and sighed dramatically.
“Let’s continue.” Tyrell muttered and paved his way through the snow. Elliot ran up to him and hugged his arm, seeking warmth.
They reached the lake moments later, Elliot was smiling excitedly.
“First of all, I should check if the ice is stable enough, älskling.” Tyrell volunteered and put down his skates.
“ Mhm ‘kay boo, please don’t die though” Elliot said, the taller man looked at him with an annoyed look.
“I’m sure I’ll be alright” With that said, Tyrell carefully stepped onto the ice, making sure he had a chance at escaping if the ice did collapse. The ice appeared stable enough, he hoped the same applied to the ice that was farther on.
“It looks stable, I think we can safely skate on it.” Tyrell stated seriously. Elliot threw his hands into the air and let out a quiet “hell yeah”.
They put on their skates. Tyrell guided Elliot to the lake and they both got on.
“Wow, careful.” the Swedish sweetheart giggled, because Elliot looked like he couldn’t skate.
“Don’t laugh. And don’t even think I can’t skate. I can.” Elliot roared, while his legs were sliding away from each other.
“When was the last time you skated then?” Tyrell said, clearly amused.
“It was… It was… It doesn’t matter. I can skate.” As he said that, he slipped and almost fell on his butt, if it wasn’t for Tyrell catching him in time.
“This sucks.” Elliot frowned. He wanted to be able to skate with Tyrell, holding hands and whatnot. He didn’t know it was this hard. He felt tears well up in his eyes, he was so, so excited for this.
“Baby, I’m sure you’ll get used to it in a second. Here, I’ll help you as much as I can.” Tyrell instructed Elliot for about 30 minutes, when the younger man finally got a hold of it.
They decided to skate further into the lake. Tyrell wasn’t worried about the ice anymore, he thought nothing could happen, right?
It was romantic, really. The two of them skating throughout the lake in Sweden, holding hands and being happy.
“Tyrell, I wanna slide on the ice without the skates, it could be so fun!” Elliot suggested. He was really tired from all the skating, because he wasn’t in good physical condition.
“Hmm… It sounds kinda… fun. Yeah, we could try that, just try not to hurt yourself, please.” Tyrell remarked and Elliot smirked. The couple took off their skates and put on normal shoes.
“Be careful Elliot, I don’t wanna deal with broken bones.”
“I don’t promise anything.” Elliot joked and jumped on ice. “Come one babe” He grabbed Tyrell’s hand. They were slipping every two seconds, two idiots in love sliding on ice without skates. Relationship goals, am I right?
They drifted further into the lake and Tyrell fell on his butt, which produced a little cracking noise. Elliot looked where his boyfriend fell and saw a little crack in the ice.
“Careful, the ice cracked a little.” Elliot said seriously.

After a while, they decided to play tag on the ice. Tyrell was chasing Elliot when something unexpected happened. The shorter man, trying to run away from his boyfriend, heard cracking noises from below him. He froze, as well as Tyrell.
“Elliot.” Tyrell gulped. “Try to move my way as slow as you can.” Elliot shuddered and swallowed loudly. He moved his leg in an attempt to take a step, but instead, he slipped. He tried to not move too much, but he fell onto his butt. The ice from below him collapsed, sending Elliot into the freezing water.
Tyrell stood there in shock for a second before registering what had happened.
When the ice collapsed, Elliot took a big, sharp breath and felt the freezing water embracing him. He was pulled into the blue depths.
“Tsk, oh kiddo, of course your dumb decisions end in a tragedy.” Elliot opened his eyes and saw Mr. Robot floating in the water with him, yet he heard his voice perfectly clear. He let out a scream and tried resurfacing, which was really hard, because his body was paralyzed from the shock of the freezing temperature.
He couldn’t feel his legs and hands, he was also struggling to hold his breath. “I hope Tyrell is okay.” Elliot thought as he fought the water.
Meanwhile, Tyrell, trying not to panic too much, got on his knees and pulled himself closer to where Elliot fell, he was worried that the ice would collapse under him too and then there would be nobody to save them. He was hoping Elliot would afloat.
“Elliot! Elliot, please baby!” He was crying out, trying to grab onto his boyfriend. He could tell the water was absolutely freezing.
It was 30 long seconds when he finally saw Elliot’s head emerging from the water. He was semi-unconscious, about to pass out from the cold.
“Omg, Elliot, baby!” Tyrell got rid of his jacket and quickly untangled his tie from his neck.
“Elliot, please try to grab my tie, I’ll try to pull you out baby, you’re gonna be okay.” Tyrell stammered and threw the end of the tie into the hole.
Elliot mustered as much strength as possible and wrapped the tie tightly around his wrist. More ice around broke, almost making Tyrell fall into the icy water. Tyrell positioned his legs so that he wouldn't fall and began pulling Elliot out. His teeth chattered and he saw black spots, but he continued holding onto the tie like his life depended on it. Well, technically it did.
“Elliot, please give me your hand.” He reached out his hand, almost laying on his stomach so that he could grab Elliot and save him. Elliot slowly extended his hand towards Tyrell. The Swedish man grabbed Elliot’s lifeless hand and finally pulled him out of the water after what felt like an hour, but was probably no longer than three minutes.
He pulled Elliot close to his body and wrapped his coat around him. He began jogging to their cabin. Elliot was absolutely freezing and shivering. Tyrell had tears running down his cheeks.
“You’re gonna be okay Elliot, please be okay.” Tyrell said, still sobbing. Elliot was occasionally opening his eyes, his lips were blue.
“Can you hear me, honey?” Tyrell begged and looked Elliot in the eyes. He gave a trembled nod and the Swedish boy sighed.
Tyrell hurriedly punched in the code and the door opened. He set Elliot down on the couch, he was soaking in cold water.
“Elliot, I need you to sit here, can you do that for me?” Tyrell held Elliot's shoulders, so that he can sit straight.
“I-it’s s-s-so co-cold.” Elliot mumbled, his teeth chattering aggressively.
“I know baby, but you’re gonna be okay. Here, I have to take your wet clothes off.” He took off Elliot’s soaked clothes, got some new ones from their suitcase and dressed Elliot up. He gathered all the blankets he could find and came back to Elliot.
“Here, lay down, love.” Tyrell said, laying next to Elliot to give him his body heat. The taller man stopped crying a while ago, but he started quietly sobbing again. He didn’t know what he would do if he lost Elliot.
He was getting hot under all the blankets and he hoped Elliot did too.
“Tyrell, I-I…”
“Shh, don’t say anything baby.”
“Tyrell, I lo-love you” Elliot whispered, which made Tyrell break into a big grin.
“I love you too, älskling. I’m glad you’re okay.” Tyrell got up to make Elliot hot tea. He got back to the couch and saw Elliot trying to get up. “ Hey there, don’t get up, baby. You should rest. Here, have some tea.” He gave it to Elliot and smiled. “Feeling better?”
“Yeah, thank you. S-sorry for ruining our h-h-holiday.” Elliot groaned and cuddled closer to his boyfriend.
“You didn’t do anything wrong, darling. You should get some sleep, I’m gonna go and chop some wood in the morning so that we can light up the fireplace.”
“Can you carry me to o-our bed?” Elliot asked shyly.
“Of course.” He picked him up. “Ugh, you’re so heavy and tall I can’t.” Tyrell mocked and laughed.
“Shut up, I’m not small.” Elliot rolled his eyes and giggled.
“Fine, whatever floats your boat.”
“You’re a dick.” Elliot smirked.
“I love you too.”
