Chapter Text
Today is the eclipse. Ericka thought as she looked at the calendar. Then she glanced at the window, the moon was setting. She knew Drac would come upstairs any minute to go to sleep. She chose to text him so he wouldn't freak out when she wasn't in the room.
Ericka: Hey sweetie, i'm going to stay up a little later today.
Drac: Why? are you meeting someone behind my back??!!?
She felt hot all over,
Ericka: Of course not! The eclipse is today.
Drac: Oh...sorry. have fun!
Ericka: I will.
And with that she walked out of the room. When she got outside, the sun was rising. She felt the warm rays hit her skin. It had been so long since she had last seen the sun. And for some strange reason, she felt like she could stare at the sun forever without going blind. The eclipse started not long after she got outside, the moon was closing in on the sun at rapid speed. The sun's shadow was thrown on the earth. Ericka gazed at it's everlasting beauty. Then she realized something, the parts of the sun showing from behind the moon were becoming more red and orange than yellow. "That's strange." she said to herself. The colors became more intense until they flashed. It was so intense that it made her temporarily in darkness. Once she got her vision back, she felt a burning sensation in her hands. She looked at them, they were on fire! But she didn't feel pain somehow. Also, suddenly she felt like she was losing consciousness. So she fainted as the fire spread to the rest of her body.
She woke with a start, but she wasn't outside. She was inside, in her room, in her bed. "That wasn't a dream." She mumbled to herself. When she she started to take the sheet off, she stopped when she realized nothing was covering her body. She slapped the sheet back on with a startled expression. Then the expression melted into anger when she looked at Drac sleeping beside her. She elbowed him hard in the side.
"W-what?" He said groggily.
"Did you do this?" She asked sharply.
"Do what?" He asked.
"You know what." She said, gesturing to the sheet she wrapped around herself. His eyes widened in shock,
"I didn't do it! I swear!" He said a little louder that expected.
"Than what happened to my clothes?!" She asked.
"I don't know," He said. "but maybe we can solve this mystery AFTER you put some clothes on."
"Great idea," She said sarcastically. "cover your eyes." She demanded. He did what he was told, as she took the sheet off.
